OK I JUST STARTED TO TAKE RISPERDAL CONSTA 37.

Would it be safe to use this unopened bottle as I have read that most medications are really good for 5 years after expiry and drug companies just put the expiry dates on so people will throw them away. I had my cataract surgery January 2011 so it is completely healed but I still have inflammation so I need to keep taking Voltaren eye drops.
I have been on meds Depakote and Risperdale but as of 4 months ago weaned myself off my Depakote and now I want to try and get off the Risperdal Consta. I want to try to live life without the meds again. I feel them throwing me on medication has done more harm than good. I have gained weight and do not feel as energetic and happy as I did before meds. The expiry date on the bottle says 01-2011.. Is this bad that I used the eye drops three weeks after it was suppose to be discarded? I only used three quaters of the bottle. I paid a little over fifty dollars for this little 5 mL bottle.... But what can you do....

I just started Invegra 3mg daily which is the new drug in lieu of Risperdal so I will be curious as to how it works. Supposedly, it is just like Risperdal but much more tolerated with less side effects. Maybe something to ask your doc about although I cant comment on personal usage as of yet since it is so new for me.
As you used a condom and as it did not break and as the condom was used with the expiry period, there is no risk of HIV. However are you sure the expiry period of the comdom is in 2014 as you say you got it 3 years ago?

Hi, I had been on Risperdal for about 15 months and I recently stopped taking Risperdal. First of all, my periods which had stopped shortly after starting Risperdal returned and my breasts which were producing milk dried up but now I suffer from insomnia. I sometimes get only 1 1/2 hours of sleep a night. Will this go away on its own?
