OK I JUST STARTED TO TAKE RISPERDAL CONSTA 37.
I took Risperdal Consta and Lithium for 7 months while being in the hospital. When I got out of the hospital, boy was I sorry! My cognitive abilities were down about 70%. I also had sleeping problems and chronic fatigue. When I read a book, I had no memory retention of what I read. If you value your son's life, take him off all the drugs, drugs are poison, and take him to a homeopathic doctor.
Without knowing the actual dosage given, it is impossible to give you an exacting time frame. If he was given the Risperdal Consta injection, the effects would persist beyond one month. This would seem highly unlikely.
In my opinion, this toxidrome will resolve without incident in a week or less. If there are no signs of improvement soon, definitely head back for the ER and demand some answers. Keep an eye on temperature and pulse, as those are two good indicators for NMS.

As I was not experienced with the test kit, after placing a drop of blood into the well, i place the diluent in as instructed, however the buffer did not push the blood up the test kit. After a few minutes (less than 5 minutes), i place a bit more diluent and this time it pushes the blood and buffer up the test kit and the result is negative (one line) after waiting for another 10 to 15 minutes.

Unless I am mistaken you have been off of the Risperdal for a month or so now. The effects of it should be gone by now. What do you mean by feeling normal? Some people say normal and they mean happy. If you are wondering how long it will take you to feel happy again- that is a complicated question but I can try to answer it by asking some questions. What do you mean by normal Clifford?
Is it just the diluent that is broken? If so, I would try to call the pharmacy and see if you could get another one.
Some may have gotten into my eye or into a cut that I had on my hand, I cannot remember for sure. Is the sample diluent (with the positive and negative HIV proteins) infectious? Can one become infected through a similar spill?
Used a test kit without the diluent and it came out negative, does this mean the test is invalid??
After checking the girl HIV status, I drop two-three diluent ( manual ask me drop 1, but it really can't loading ). After that I found it was two line and a dark line in control line and another quite light line in test line. How to consider this?
I have been on meds Depakote and Risperdale but as of 4 months ago weaned myself off my Depakote and now I want to try and get off the Risperdal Consta. I want to try to live life without the meds again. I feel them throwing me on medication has done more harm than good. I have gained weight and do not feel as energetic and happy as I did before meds. I have given my son benadryal in the past and he would become calm but since the risperdal he gets very hyper and stays up all night. My son has seasonal allergies. I just started Invegra 3mg daily which is the new drug in lieu of Risperdal so I will be curious as to how it works. Supposedly, it is just like Risperdal but much more tolerated with less side effects. Maybe something to ask your doc about although I cant comment on personal usage as of yet since it is so new for me.
s finger. then i added diluent on blood (again without gloves and i know big mistake).after some minutes i got panicked and asked the nurse if there is any risk. she told me NO risk. but told me that i can wash my hands with special disinfectant solution if i want. she poured some of that solution in my hands and i washed all my hands.
the solution was exactly like water.
After taking risperdal over 248mg in total over 7 weeks my penis shrinked rapidly at first I did not know what it was but slowly began to realize its from prolactin in the drug
Will this recover I took some ability which decreases prolactin it made my penis feel better but its still a lot less in length then before

Hi, I had been on Risperdal for about 15 months and I recently stopped taking Risperdal. First of all, my periods which had stopped shortly after starting Risperdal returned and my breasts which were producing milk dried up but now I suffer from insomnia. I sometimes get only 1 1/2 hours of sleep a night. Will this go away on its own?

I am on risperdal and I was wondering what the possible side effects are of smoking marijuana while on this medication.
Okay, let me ask this a different way? I want to get off the saphris because of the side effects but am afraid of being suicidal again. I'd heard Risperdal is used as a "booster" med for people being on anti-depressants. I take 40mg citalopram (generic version of celexa) and 225 mg Venlafaxine (for effexor) each day, then went to 5mg saphris in am and bedtime. I wondered about using Risperdal hoping not to have the same side effects.
We have used Risperdal with our 12 year old son in the past, 2nd and 3rd grade, but due to weight gain he had to be taken off it. We had major problems with sleep so when he went off the meds he went back to not sleeping. Then we found Melatonin, it is a god sent. It is a natural supplement that has helped a lot of children with atuism and other disorders that effect sleeping. As for the agression we have tried behavioral programs that help with it.

I was recently taking off Risperdal I tapered like every other day for 3 days,is this enough taper would i have withdrawal,i know in the past they have just stopped me off it,,is it a drug that needs taperred,,i was on 1/2 mg since sept 13 08
I was put on Risperdal 1/2 mg in sept 13 08,recently (last week stopped it ) had to me slighty taper,Im wondering if yoou really neeed to taper,Im not bipolar I have depression and anxiety and was put on Risperdal for racing thoughts,Does any one or has anyone ever just stopped Risperdal without tapering,,my pharmisist said its not nesa sarry byt i dont realy know for sure,i think sometimes he just tells me what he thinks i want to hear,,,,THanks
He still gets shor tempered on the risperdal and tenex and prozac. We have upped all the amounts except the risperdal is still at 2 mg a day. He was much better in the beginning. He takes 3 mg of tenex, 2 mg of risperdal and 10 mg of prozac. He still is impulsive and gets into arguments. It seems to be an ongoing problem to adjust his meds. We see the psychaitrist monthly. He has been on other meds and they either made him worse or stopped working.
