The school he goes to drug screens him and it has always come back positive for PCP. No other drug screens - the criminal justice system or the hospital's test are positive for anything. Could any of his meds be the reason that he is showing up positive. He is not acting out when he has the positive screens so I have to believe it is the combination or one of the meds but the school believes otherwise. Help!

My cousin is just 16 now and i have heard from his father that he is addicted to some kind of drug, i don't know which one exactly. I have heard that he have even dropped out from the school due to drug. His parents are going out of the country for some kind of business. They are planning to keep my cousin in a rehabilitation center but my cousin doesn't want and he wants to be with us instead. I am really worried about him since he is just 16. What will be the best for him....

Would he have learned anything in prison, something like rehabilitation? Probably not, but at least he would have been incarcerated and not able to be involved with this. Where do situations like this leave us? This kid didn't learn anything from his first scrape with the law. Chances are, this won't be his last either. He'll do some time for this, but when he gets out his gang will give him "props" and he will have garnered more respect from his fellow gang members.

Ok, so I was searching and checking in my neighborhood if there were any sex offenders...I knew that there were those that work in the area but just found out that three doors down is a rapist. I haven't been able to sleep for several days--not related....now my mind is racing and I know that i won't sleep tonight....

He now has scoliosis because of poor posture, massive headaches and ear aches, hallucinations, and other problems due to being depressed and given up. Much depends on the child involved, but I do think that where ever possible, young offenders should be treated and an attempt at rehabilitation rather then just punishment. Punishment does have to be a part of it though as accountability is important. I don't think we should be too quick to lock em up and throw away the key. Kids do stupid and impulsive things. At that age we know their brains are fully functioning and good decisions are not always there.

I know there are studies on subexone but I haven't heard of many taking naltrexone. It is primarily a drug for achhol and opoid dependence but it does have pain relieving properities.

I just find out that my 19 years old son is taking Percocet for about 7 month, on average 5-10 pills per day. None of his closest friends use any type of drug.
