I am a big proponent of medications like Lexapro, but are you going to counseling in the mean time? In my opinion, medications like these are not designed to 'cure' you of your anxiety but are an extremely useful tool as you confront and learn about your anxiety in order to attain long term relief...do you have access to talk thereapy? Both group and individual helped me tremendously...keep us posted!

Would he have learned anything in prison, something like rehabilitation? Probably not, but at least he would have been incarcerated and not able to be involved with this.
Where do situations like this leave us? This kid didn't learn anything from his first scrape with the law. Chances are, this won't be his last either. He'll do some time for this, but when he gets out his gang will give him "props" and he will have garnered more respect from his fellow gang members.
I chose meetings vs counseling due to cost....but counseling is great when u really need one on one help...I have been seeing a counselor as of late//not due to addiction problems but personal//but our person is where the work needs to be done..our inner self...find answers to WHY we used..What we were trying to escape from etc
My insurance doesnt cover a TRUE addiction counselor..but if u google u will find many listings of addiction specialists...
If you had a previous pregnancy with Spina bifida, I imagine that you received genetic counseling and that your next pregnancy would be followed closely with a targeted ultrasound.
You also probably know that you should be on increased doses of folic acid ie at least 4mg before you even start to try to get pregnant.

Just some friendly advice, though, at any age a heart attack can take a life, and at 82, with heart problems, and cancer, the odds are quickly adding up against your Dad.
He now has scoliosis because of poor posture, massive headaches and ear aches, hallucinations, and other problems due to being depressed and given up. We really want to find a home where he can be among people with the same rehabilitation challenges. It would be ideal if the home offered psychologist and a physical therapist; however, even if the home had one or the other it would be better than his situation right now. He just sits at home doing nothing.
All of these are issues but not sure what are the biggest concerns when it comes to getting the additional days in rehabilitation approved.
So my fiance has finally agreed to go to couples counseling! Yay! Where do I even start looking for a place? How much is it? I'm really worried we can't afford it. We can't afford more than say 50$ a session. I'm assuming that the rates are much higher. Has anyone done it? How much was it? Was it worth it? Does anyone do it for low income families?
I am curious if any one has went to addiction counseling? I had an appointment today that I was very nervous about, and everything was GREAT! This was the guy that had to reffer me to the Suboxone DR in his buliding to get an appointment. He reffered me and said I was a perfect canidate for Suboxone after hearing everything about my addiction. He said that I seem to have what it takes to beat this, and that I seem more determined that most!
Asking about ME..and does this raise MY risk. She referred me for genetic counseling. Her nurse is not a very nice person, and really gave me very little information, other than a phone number. Can anyone tell me what is involved in Genetic counseling? What do they do? What happens to me?

My grief and loss issues are extensive and can not be deal with in 3 sessions. Do you know of any counseling center that offer free or very discounted counseling from very qualified counselors? It is apparent that I can not keep living this way with these current issues. I am just existing and not living life. I am not suicidal but realize that I need to improve the quality of my life. I have loss the two people closest to me in the world. Any advice is appreciated.
s office called me to tell me they are referring me to another ultrasound to get a clear picture and at the same time do some Genetic Counseling. I was a mess and had a very high level of anxiety when I was waiting for my AFP result. Now this... has anyone gone to Genetic Counseling before? I know they may offer amniocentesis but I know I dont want to do that since my AFP is negative even though it's not 100% accurate. They said the reason they are referring me is because I am 35 years old!
i can't approach him about anything. as soon as i open my mouth to talk he gets mad and p!ssy with me. our conversations usually end up turning into a huge fight. even if i'm asking questions about sports or a movie he has seen and i haven't he treats me as i'm the dumbest person ever b/c i don't know all the answers to everything. it's as if i'm nothing but a bother to him. i hate talking to him.

Hi ess. Dizzinews is a mailing list, so it's different from a bulletin-board-type forum like this one. You send an e-mail and it goes to all subscribers; your address is not "posted" anywhere or available except to other list members (subscribers). You could use a different e-mail account than your regular one, if you wish. I've been on the list since 1999 and have never had any problems from it whatsoever.
you need rehabilitation in any brain surgey, come again and we will set an appointment. The next time she said:rehabilitation is done only when she cant move a leg or arm.
I am aware of the neuropsyhiatry and the test and everything. I want to make sure she gets the right treatment and doesnt waste these 6 months.
Thats why I am asking her so I can make the deference between truth and real. I am looking around until I find the doctor that gives me the correct questions.
