Avatar n tn Hi Lisa, I was here back in 2007 before you even had your second daughter, I just go by a different name now. I had actually been thinking about you recently because I am pregnant, almost 12 weeks now and it was not planned and I've been on Suboxone for over 450 days now due to a horrible addiction.
Avatar f tn Thank you both, this is really great stuff to hear. She actually is on suboxone, she was a heroin addict and went to suboxone. Her family has offered her rehab. I was on suboxone for years and it was a great tool in my sobriety and I got off slowly when I was ready. But her family feels that rehab is the Better way to do things, as does she. I don't know much about rehab but I do know that suboxone isn't something to come off of in a month or so.
Avatar f tn Most rehab centers take care of the detox the first week or so that you're there. I know the ones I checked into do. Also, stay away from Ultram. It will open a can of worms you don't need to mess with.
Avatar f tn Looking for the best treatment center in US, Consult with New Solutions Counseling centers in Florida- one of the best addiction recovery rehab center.
Avatar f tn Not all rehab centers are equal. Many if not most try to do it too quickly with a one size fits all approach, whereas an individual psychiatrist who really knows his stuff will go at your pace. Not that those are easy to find! By the way, you need a new psychiatrist. The one you have doesn't seem to realize he works for you.
Avatar m tn So, you’re right to look for cheap rehab centers. You don’t have to break into a bank or go broke in the name of getting off drug and alcohol addiction.
14183940 tn?1433536902 Hey Cj!! I didn't realize you were so close, I'm from Amarillo, Texas. I know here in Tx, many rehab centers offer payment plans for people without ins, you would need to locate one near you and see if maybe that is an option for you. Take care!!
Avatar n tn I doubt anyone can help you here. Your best bet is to do a goggle search and/or call treatment centers in your area. Best of luck!

1175931 tn?1263809505 Get your phone book out. Look up detox and rehab centers in your area. Whether you have health insurance or not there are places you can go to get detoxed. That is the beginning. Then the work begins. To figure out why you are doing this. It sounds like it started with back surgery. But that is just a symptom.. There is something that is making you afraid or sad or both that makes you feel a need to numb yourself. I use to do this with alcohol.
Avatar m tn I need help with intervention advice / Pyshcologists/ nurses/ Doctors / centers / anything you can think of that are good quality places to go, not places that are crowded, and the run of the mill rehab, I can afford to get him the best help I can, and I will, and I hope someone knows of good place to start...
Avatar m tn Aquatic Physical Therapy and manual joint mobilizations by a manually trained Physical Therapist have great research backing them for treatment for hip arthritis. Often rehab centers have pools that are accessible for W/C bound patients.
Avatar f tn I commend you for supporting you husband during probably the hardest thing he'll ever have to endure in his life...i have heard of the rehab facility youre husbands at....
Avatar f tn I do not know of specialized centers for that combination, but as both are unfortunately all too common, most large treatment centers or University-based programs would have experience with the combination. There are a few medications that reduce impulsive behavior to some extent-- primarily the atypical antipsychotics-- but they are not much of a match for opiate dependence.
Avatar m tn Actually, Once I tried to quit this habit.. but the withdrawal symptoms... I really don't need to quit it but I'm aware of it's after effects. That's why I'm thinking of a rehab. And yeah coke is the only thing that I'm using.
Avatar m tn sub has been pretty good for me but i could certainly see where it could be a big problem for some people they really should try to keep in rehab or detox centers the shorter your on it the better from what i have the withdrawal is very bad and long lasting i do understand some may need long term with sub but it seems that some people are trading a light addiction and then getting hooked on sub and it is very potent it seems we are trading less for more
Avatar n tn There's help out there- look into schalorships for treatment centers. There's lots all over this country, and they do offer help if you don't have the money. They're not going to offer it- YOU HAVE TO ASK!!! Florida has a great sober network, and a lot of treatment centers. Delray Beach, Florida has a lot of half way houses, and an amazing sober community. That's where I got sober, and it was a God send for me. I would get him out of Philly for a while.
1113973 tn?1258663021 Quality rehab facilities that are completely free are few and far between. Many have payment plans or will work with you with payments. Your best bet is to flip through the yellow pages, find the first rehab, and call them. Tell them what you need and ask for help. If they can't help, ask for a referral. Rehab centers know about each others terms and programs for miles. They are your best source of info. Outpatient rehab isn't nearly as pricey as inpatient programs.
299889 tn?1257339377 The Morphine is scary and I finally started calling detox centers and rehab. I feel like I have to take myself out of my environment because my life ias so busy and the people around me ARE so needy (family) job. My fiance is behind me but he isn't an addict. The only medical detox I have found is no smoking but what the hey, 3 days.... Should I try to detox at home first and then go to treatment. I am grateful I have the chance to go. Has anyone went thru this.
1589929 tn?1310066922 Well anyway, I was wondering if anyone has been into outpatient rehab for this or is they know of any places that have outpatient benzo rehab programs? In patient rehab is just not possible for me now, for one I'm not a drug addict like so many of the sites say about people who are addicted and or dependent on benzos, so I wouldn't be comfortable around people who had like cocaine, heroine addictions etc.
18524847 tn?1465595901 re here for you at the site, for example) and plan of action for the hard days. But one day at a time. One foot in front of the other. Have you ever done meditation or hypnosis? Very soothing.
Avatar f tn Does anyone know of a good (effective) detox/rehab facility in Tampa Bay/St. Pete area? Son prefers non-residential but has rather large addiction to roxicodone /oxycontin. This is all so confusing and depressing. . seems so many people are trying to make big bucks at desperate people's expense (and I don't mean just dealers!) No one is really giving me much hope of permanent freedom from this drug for him, either.
Avatar f tn s reports) one 450mg pill 4X day for 2 weeks. Now I find out that local doc has scheduled an appt for me at MUSC in Charleston for further evaluation, and doesn't want to see me until after that. I learned the appointment isn't until Aug 12, another 2 months away! I have now lost confidence in this doc and practice, and don't understand why he won't at least see me to see if the new dose of valcyte might be helping.
Avatar f tn I know exactly what you mean... I couldn't do it by myself either. My health insurance covered both detox & rehab treatment, and I went in-patient for 21 days. Best thing I could have ever done. People that do it by themselves are EXTREMELY strong and I applaud them for doing it alone. But what IBKleen said is correct... going to rehab is great and will put you on the right path, but it's what you do AFTER that's going to keep you clean & sober.
