Has anyone on here been to or known anyone that has been to Haven House Rehab Center in Oxford, MS??? I will be going in a couple of days and just curious if anyone has an opinion on it. Also, to all the women.... I haven't had a period since jan 19. The only other times I have skipped, I was pregnant but I have taken 2 tests and they were both negative. Can withdrawals from lortab cause you to miss a cycle for 2 months? Has anyone else experienced this as a side effect of detox and relapse?

Anyone know of a solid place to start with trying to seek help for my husbands crack addiction? I wrote a long post in another forumn so I am keeping it short. I know of rehab centers in NJ Seabrook house you dont have to go to one in your state....this palce has a program for all ages and types of addictions I was living in Ohio and went to this one in NJ.....How old is your son?

I can only suggest that you begin making phone calls to treatment centers in your area. Many of them have indigent programs or alumni programs and will take in one patient a month or so. I believe she needs professional help to get her through this. I will pray for you both. Please let us know how you are doing.

You will need more than 3 days in a rehab center. I was there for 3 weeks my first time. In rehab you dont just detox, you also have phsych sessions. They dont want to release you until you deal with what causes your addiction. 3 days isnt long enough to detox and difinately not long enough for rehab. If you do decide to wd at home than you have got to have some aftercare and you will need to stay away from the drug addict friends.

You can do a google search of treatment centers in your area. You can use your local phone book to find what assistance is available in your area. It is difficult for us to help you in your particular state since we are international here in this community. Best of luck to you mom and it is wonderful that you want to help. my names josh and ive been addicted to oxycodone for 4 about to be 5 years i do about an avg of 5 to 10 blues a day but when i can about 10 to 20, im prescribed 180 30mg oxycodones a month that is six a day but im so deep in my addiction i run out in like a week and ah half and then i spend ever dollar i make at work on them...

Contact local agencies and rehab centers to find out their experience in this. There are rehab centers that sort of specialize in working with pregnant women. Weaning has to be done under close medical supervision and slowly. It is not an easy thing to manage during pregnancy if there is a high level of addiction. Each situation is unique and it is critical that you work with someone experienced in addiction during pregnancy.

After you detox and you no longer have insurance benefits for any rehab, what do you do? My grandson just checked into a detox facility but cannot return to his home. He is detoxing from oxy, valium, alcohol and was on a binge after 10 weeks clean. I dont know what to do to help him without enabling him..any suggestions? He has become addicted to oxys since the accident and now does them intravenously, and at extremely high doses talking 500 to 600 in 24 hours (is trying to taper down). He will take anything he can get his hands on. He has been in rehab three times in one year. He’s in rehab right now. Rewind to a few months ago... he got a script for gabapentin and abused it. He got high off of abusing it. And he flushed the rest. Last weekend he picked up another bottle of the gabapentin prescribed by his dr outside of his rehab.

Then the work begins. To figure out why you are doing this. It sounds like it started with back surgery. But that is just a symptom.. There is something that is making you afraid or sad or both that makes you feel a need to numb yourself. I use to do this with alcohol.

sub has been pretty good for me but i could certainly see where it could be a big problem for some people they really should try to keep in rehab or detox centers the shorter your on it the better from what i have the withdrawal is very bad and long lasting i do understand some may need long term with sub but it seems that some people are trading a light addiction and then getting hooked on sub and it is very potent it seems we are trading less for more

My son is in rehab & doing good ...He will be in for 14 days then have to go to outpatient rehab all day for 6 weeks.. What can I expect ? Hes 25 ..I can't lock him in his room to protect him ......He has a career job waiting for him when he gets out ..But the rehab is more important ,,,Any advice ?
