ramipril and bisoprolol

I am 68 and taking 1.25mg Bisoprolol for high blood pressure and can't increase because of low pulse rate. I was also taking Ramipril but developed the terrible cough. My doctor agreed to me trying without this for a month. Two weeks in my BP is mostly between 125/67 and 159/75. The problem is that it does sometimes go higher and when it gets to upper 160s I get irregular heartbeat. I take garlic and Co enzyme Q10. What is the solution?

But the doc assured that nothing would happen but I am too scared to take an initial dose of 5mg Bisoprolol straightaway....Want all you peoples help in this regard and advice me whether I could go ahead with Bisoprolol 5mg without any fear....Thanks in advance...

Hi guys, Patient is 19 years old teen boy, diagnosed with PSVT and moderate hypertension, currently on Propafenon tbl a 150 mg 3x1, Bisoprolol tbl a 5mg 1+0+1/2, Ramipril tbl a 5 mg 1x1, He's having his "attacks" almost everyday, he's on waitlist for heart ablation procedure, What can be seen on this ECG https://postimg.org/image/jhsjqa7ev/ Tnx everybody.

He was on Bisoprolol for a considerable amount of time before any symptoms began, so I would doubt if this is the issue, especially as tests have revealed no heart issues. 1.25mg is a low dose but on the other hand bisoprolol is a powerful beta blocker. I was on 1.25mg for years and had no issues except when they recommended I increase to 5mg and then my heart rate dropped to mid 20's. I did find that bisoprolol did very little for blood pressure, I had to take Ramipril on top for that.

asprin, bisoprolol, ramipril, simvastatin, ticagrelor and lansoprazole and have also been given a gt spray.. do you think they are been over cautious? Ive been told i will be on these tablets for a year at least and the asprin for life. ... P.s was my Troponin levels raised to an abnormal level? the pain i got was awful the worst ive ever had...

Sorry I failed to say that as far as I know the BB along with a statin, ramipril and aspirin are to control high blod pressure and offer protection after a heart attack. A stent was put in at the time, about 6 years ago.

I visited many doctors and had various checks and echos and analysis and was told that I am ok and was advised not to take alternative medicines! I would be grateful to anyone advising me as the doctors I have access to seem to be too busy to consider my 'special' case, they wouldn't even answer why I am given ConcorCor which is said to counter hyper blood pressure while my blood presssure has always been lower than average.

Hello everybody, I read a post by Ed which mentioned something about his tooth decay and heart medication. That got me thinking because of late ( well soon after my Heart Attack ) I have been having all sort of dental problems. Post MI my gums bleed ( the sink looks like a bloodbath! ) but more then that I have had two fillings, one cap and at least five visits to my dentist all in space of six months.

Within 30 mins of taking Metoprolol, I feel the effects and I feel great. My BP and it drops to 100/60 and my heart rate drops to 70 or even 65 BPM. I don't have any side effects from this med. That being said, the issue I'm running into is that the Metoprolol doesn't seem to last as long as it should. If I take the Metaprolol at 7am, by the time 3pm comes around, my BP is 135/92 and my heart rate can get as high as 120 BPM.

5mg everyday, for to treat the diabetic nephropathy, i can get ramipril in my town but its 5mg ramipril capsule in the chemists, and his medications are over, so should i let him take the 5mg ramipril? my big concern is would the dose cause hypoglycaemia or any other effects as the dosage will be double the dose hid doctor prescribed? please help me on that, i will be grateful...thank you.

that is quite a high dosage of beta blocker and is likely to give the low pulse. Is the cardiologist aware of this pulse? The blood pressure medication is quite low and could be increased. Ask the Cardiologist if the beta blocker should be reduced and the Ramipril increased.

I have kidney failure (Gfr generally between 40 and 50 but recently closer to 40), and also crohns which has been in remission for years but has recently been shown to be very active. My problem is for about 12 months now I have been prescribed ramipril for my kidneys and high blood pressure, but in the last few months and weeks (it seems to me since crohns has become active) it is making me feel absolutely terrible.

m afraid my body is giviing out. IF i try and go down of the beta blockers I start to get that rebound adreniline feeling and heart pounding agian. I'm so weak....my husband is writing this for me. I feel like I will never be able to get off thi s medication if I need to. i take 100 mg of librium per day and nothing else. I'm really scared. Has anyone else had similar experiences. I feel horrible with the constant tachycardia and sklipped beats. i feel worse from head to toe.....

I just started to take ramipril at night and now my bood pressure is elevated in the morning. I used to take it in the morning and my bp was higher in the evening.

I was just wondering if there can be drug interactions between the Ativan and Bisoprolol? I have quite low blood pressure and heart rate, and wouldn't want them going much lower... Thanks so much for any information...

I am confused by the drug RAMIPRIL. The leaflet in box and details in British Formulary list WEIGHT LOSS as a side effect (I have lost 6 kilos). On the Internet there are many letters regarding weight gain but nothing about weeight loss. Why is this?

I was put on Ramipril 5mg as my BP was high. Wondering how long it takes to work. My pulse is low a 59 but my BP is still high. Is this normal? Im worried if they put the dose up my pulse will go even lower.

I am not familiar with Ramipril, so, unfortunately, can't speak to that. I've read posts here where people take a specific type of levothyroxine and have side effects from the dyes in the pill, so that's a possibility. However, I think further work up is probably warranted.
