Much to my surprise, it was also Vegan and remarkably tasty if you like something full of flavor and on the spicy side. Have always wondered what Plantains tasted like and no, the Food Network is right, they do not taste like bananas. This dish boasts plaintains, black beans, sweet potato & Kale .. in addition to 7 whole grain pilaf, Amaranth & Polenta with spicy ancho sauce. It also has pumpkin seeds ..
Avatar f tn She also does these weight exercises,crunches, push ups, and stretches before and after her workout When she comes in, she has a bowl of Kashi cereal. She usually goes to bed anywhere from 10-11:30 pm. My daughter does this routine 5 days a week, except for the workout at night, that she does 4 nights a week. Is she overdoing it? Or is she considered "healthy"? Is she at a healthy weight for her height?

Avatar m tn What I have been eating for breakfast was a bowl of cheerios with non-fat milk, and then a Kashi cereal bar...for lunch, I had a reduced-fat peanut butter sandwich on whole wheat, an apple, and 24 Special K wheat thins (or a few pieces of watermelon or strawberries) for dinner, I will eat whatever..sometimes I just get a bowl of Special K cereal with non-fat milk or low-fat milk, and some more fruit and some nuts... also, I drink water all day..like I drink a lot of water..

Avatar f tn By protein bars I mean Balance or Power bars. A lot of times I will eat them for lunch as well. I have eaten them for all three meals, although that is not typical. At least one if not two meals is typical for me. I have a lot of digestive and health problems and I'm starting to wonder how bad this habit is on my health. Where are some good resources for me to read about this? Thanks!

964675 tn?1247628283 t clear up in a few weeks, you could try a different source of fiber instead of taking psyllium husk, your body might tolerate it better. I know Kashi has a lot of good cereals and stuff that are high in fiber (as well as protein and omega-3's which will also aid in weight loss) and they actually taste good!
193609 tn?1292180293 Admittedly, I do prefer Herbalife protein bars over shakes. I do, however, have a container of the Herbalife protein powder and when I am on my running regimen I add it to one shake per day. I don't notice a change in the taste at all, it still tastes just like whichever flavor of shake I have added it to. Hope this helps Cheyenne. About half hour after a run is a great time to get in some protein.

964234 tn?1331949207 ve been eating more filling stuff that packs good protein and fiber. Try eat shredded wheat or raisin bran or something. As for me I eat kashi cereals they are pretty good and filling. I eat a ton of bananas, and other fruit whether its fresh frozen or canned. I also eat some trail mix or fiber bars by fiberone or kashi. lowfat dairy cheese with crackers or fruit. Yogurt- not lowfat. Now I bought mini bagels to eat with cream cheese.
Avatar f tn During long periods of time that I didn't eat. I had granola bars, fiber one bars, cereal bars, etc. Those are great camping snacks. Trail mix, nothing super salty cause you'll drink more water which could mean more potty breaks. Haha Just stay hydrated. And have fun.

Cliff bars, luna bars, special k brand stuff are all fine for us to eat. Ive also been really lucky too my cravings have mainly been for fruits and veggies which helps!
