Wow, I share a lot of your symptoms. I took Propecia at age 26/27 and started having erection problems so I quit. About three years later I stopped getting nocturnal erections/morning erections. Now, at 36, I had my testosterone tested twice - one it was 235, the other time 434. I'm going to test a third time, but based on your story and my suspicions, I wonder if Propecia didn't do something permanent to our hormone levels and/or receptors.

I have some hair loss and started using generic form of Rogaine. After using it I got a little dizzy and then read it was originally high blood pressure medication.. I want to know if this hair regrowth medication is safe to us on people with heart block???
m on propecia...however, my doctor (being pretty cool), prescribed me 5mg Finasteride (i.e. Propecia). I split the pills in half, which is pretty close to the dosage for Propecia. The bottle lasts me two months, and costs me $5 because finasteride is covered on my insurance. I'm 28 years old, soooo....the insurance company DID need my doctor to verify the prescription. But like I said, he is cool :) See if your doc will hook you up the same!
The reason rogaine works is not because it has some super hair growth formula in it, it is because when using rogaine, you massage it in to your scalp. Basically waking those sleeping hair folicals. You can achieve the same result by strictly massaging your scalp for 3 to 5 minutes ever night when washing your hair. The best indication of a genetic hair loss is to look at your mothers father. If he had balding it was most likely bred into you.
My sex drive is no where near where it was before taking propecia and besides the erections I get in the morning or when I am sleeping, I still do not get spontaneous erections. I also don't get erections unless physically stimulated. My imagination or the sight of an attractive girl doesn't do it like it did prior to taking the drug. I don't feel aroused or want sex hardly ever.
I attribute my erection problems to the Propecia tablet that I take daily. As you know, Propecia is 1 mg. of finasteride. Propecia has been shown to cause side effects such as erectile problems in a small minority of users. Unfortunately, I appear to be in that small minority. Once my erection problems surfaced, I began looking for a solution. I do not want to stop taking Propecia because it has done wonders for my hair.

I have been taking Propecia since 2.5 years at variable doses(0.25 first 6months, 0.5 mg for one year and 1 mg for 1 year till today), In october 2016 my derm put me on accutane 10 mg and minoxiline(100mg) for treating my mild acne, I had been drinking heavily for 5 days before starting my accutane course, 10 days into the course, I started to have Gyno(Unilateral, right breast with a movable tender lump), I dropped accutane and minoxiline and also propecia after 23 days.
