1154561 tn?1275254669 I have heard of B12 being given IM but not SQ. The orders are for 1cc SQ once a week. Hoping someone familiar with this injectable vitamin could share their information and experience.
5143317 tn?1383747820 ve been advised by my doctor to take them and the pharmacist said I could take them any time. Those with experience, when is a better time AM or PM and with or without food? Thanks so much? I tried googling it but didn't find the answer.
1765695 tn?1313669583 What is sublingual methylcobalamin? I never heard of this before.
18223091 tn?1463507399 I have a B12 deficiency. I went undiagnosed until I was 26 (that was 4 years ago). I am taking 2,000 MCG, at least, a day to help with that as I don't have insurance nor money to pay for the shots. Is there anything else that I can do to keep my B12 levels where they need to be?? Thank you for all and any help.
Avatar f tn Some physicians and homeopathic wellness specialists convey that Methylcobalamin V-B12 is the proper grade for use. It is believed that Methylcobalamin as the specific form of B12 is unique in aiding the nervous system, liver and brain health. It appears (and again, opinions vary) that Methylcobalamin has a much higher absorption rate and retained in higher amounts in your tissues.
Avatar f tn The low effect dose for developmental neurotoxicity and reproductive impairment in juvenile rats (50 mg/kg) was associated with a plasma pregabalin exposure (AUC) approximately equal to human exposure at the maximum recommended dose of 600 mg/day. A no-effect dose was not established.
Avatar f tn I need something but I am afraid the Lyrica and Prozac might interact with Dilaudid. Has anyone used Dilaudid to manage Fibro pain? How does its effects compare to Vicodin? Any advice would help - thank you.

Avatar f tn I have some let’s say friends who are convinced that methylcobalamin (vitamin b12) is a form of “speed” - literally they think that methyl groups make people faster. I love done organic chemistry and know that’s not true.
Avatar m tn Pregabalin is known as Lyrica in the States and is prescribed primarily to relieve neuropathic pain if you have diabetes or in the area of your rash if you have had shingles. It is also used to treat fibromyalgia. Pregabalin is used with other medications to treat certain types of seizures in people with epilepsy. Pregabalin is in a class of medications called anticonvulsants. It works by decreasing the number of pain signals that are sent out by damaged nerves in the body.
Avatar f tn I really want to raise my B12 levels to the top of the range but every time I take B12 I get severe anxiety. I have been using methylcobalamin and I've tried 1000 mcgs, 500 mcgs, 250 mcgs; I've used Vegan and not vegan. Has anyone experienced this? If so, how did you get your b12 levels up?
1218873 tn?1300091216 One of my main issue is with spasticity and with pain associated with spasticity. I imagine without the use of my Baclofen (a muscle relaxer), the Gabapentin wouldn't be as effective as it is. I hope they do find a medication that works well for you. I guess it's all about trial and error.

Avatar m tn I'm 21 and male. I was having arm pains which was caused by neck pain for bad posture on computer desk. So I went to the GP (general medicine) and he said the pain is for the neck, and it will go away and asked me to do some static neck exercise and swimming and prescribed 'Pregabalin m-75' to take for 1 month and stop.
1297586 tn?1274105947 I am taking hypothyroid meds. I have consulted ENT doc and they prescribed prednisolone, methylcobalamin inj. for this. From last week, I have seen some improvement but not at all cure. I felt some inbalance while walking and still there is some ringing sounds. I want to know whether my hearing problem will be a permanent or not. I want to hear any advice regarding my problem.
1218873 tn?1300091216 Thanks Lulu, Have been to GP and blood test for sarcoid is negative. Really pleased about that. He has given me the plan to swap from Gabapenten to pregabalin. This means to begin with lowering the gabapentin dose by 300mg every 3 days (I'm on 1800mg at the moment) and then when I'm down to 600mg of gabapentin a day I start to add the pregabalin 75mg to begin with then upping it every 3 days till I reach 300mg a day at the same time still reducing the gabapentin to zero.
901222 tn?1399142874 I struggle with a severe form of spinal arthritis. My doctors encourage me to medicate. I don't like to. I tend to slip in and out of dependency according to pain levels and depression about it. I stay far away from oxy and morphine because they are very difficult for people to quit. Vicodin makes me sluggish and sad. I lose connections and sulk in my bed. I just stopped all about a week ago. Feeling a bit better. Still depressed with another RF medical procedure looming. I'm worried.
Avatar n tn Are you talking about getting B12 pills? B12 doesn't help with weight loss; all it does is give more energy to exercise.
Avatar m tn It's possible. You might be able to treat with oral supplements. I'm not sure if doctors would give injections if they considered you in the normal range. You'd have to talk to them. If not you could buy supplements. I use a sublingual and also a liquid B12. The liquid has 80% Methylcobalamin & 20% Adenocobalamin and many people with B12 deficiency have said they use it in between getting the injections in order to keep levels stabilized.
