1972798 tn?1355549267 ) My husband and I went after church and picked out some flowers for my hanging baskets. It was so fun planting them and being out in the sun. We also got veggies for my garden so I can plant those this week. Im excited for next weekend to be able to put in a patio under our tree :) It will be lots of work but we are moving a bunch of slate to crate a little seating area. Just nice to have some warm weather finally to be out in and get a little sun.
Avatar f tn Well spring is almost upon us... almost! Anyway, we had a really warm day so I started clearing rocks out of the places where I want to garden. Oh my goodness! There are so many rocks and I have no clue what to do with them all? They're ugly, too (like cement, just a white-grey). Some are so large I have to roll them. So my first question is- what do you do with rocks from your yard? Second, HELP ME! I have no idea and no inkling of how to garden.
Avatar f tn Yes, I do! Hubby got me interested in gardening and landscaping. He has taught me a lot about what types of plants grow best where. He even built me a dry creek bed with a waterfall like I always wanted. I love getting out there and weeding and planting. The time passes so fast and it is relaxing and therapeutic. I am so glad the weather is nice and it appears Spring is here. We already have buttercups and our Japanese Maples have leaves.
620923 tn?1452915648 Looking forward to growing some flowers and doing some gardening. I think I might just walk through dome green houses when I'm up and about- good therapy..
168348 tn?1379357075 If you live in a warm zone, refrigerate them about six weeks before planting them. You can also plant them in layers in a bowl. This is really neat too. Happy Planting.
Avatar f tn The timing does coincide with the yearly weeding, pruning and planting of the flower beds; however the rash started the day before gardening started. If it's dermatitis would a hydrocortisone cream help?
1056589 tn?1273747102 Our veggie garden is out in the field behind the house and I find myself thinking about planting already. My husband is taking a master gardeners course and that's been exciting. I had been thinking about doing that but then had to laugh..me who has trouble, somedays, remembering where I put my glasses. I think my brain isn't up to it right now. We both have a great love for the earth and for all that it has given us and thinking about next summer's garden is a real joy.
410281 tn?1254229064 Sign up online to get some catalogs from nurseries - they always start arriving in January, which is the perfect time to dream about warm weather. Look for plants that can be grown in zones 3 or 4. That means they will be winter hardy for your area. You can also see some growing ideas for your area at www1.umn.edu/webdd/plants/index.html Gardening is one of the best things I find to unwind - I hope you enjoy it too.
Avatar f tn I love to garden ! I went out today, spread some miracle grow gardening soil, wet it down, and planted some flowers. All with gloves of course ... My point is I went on the internet after the fact, and there's women saying its such a no no. Than, there's websites saying its ok as long as you wear gloves... In tired of there being a scare in every move we make ! Anyone garden well pregnant ??
Avatar f tn I would suggest that Covid makes everything a little more difficult. It seems to throw a psychological dragginess over doing things. So if your exercise routine isn't particularly inspiring, as Pax says, it would not only be hard to stick with in normal times, but to me it seems unsurprising that it would be harder to stick with it now. I agree that doing something that's a workout in itself but you like, is a good way to exercise.
1105753 tn?1374287348 ( Hopefully in a couple of weeks though, which would be pretty good timing. Do you grow vegetables or flowers? I love to grow my own food, but I have flowers also. I can't wait for warm weather!

Avatar n tn Im a cocaine addict and I have had bad back pain for a yr now, makes gardening hard and I wont use pain killers because of my cocaine problem.I use heet patches and they help and limiting your daily planting come spring can help. One thing I learned about being clean, we have motivations (i.e.your nephew,my kids), but we have to want focus on being clean for ourselves.
Avatar m tn Hi Dear Drs I am a 25 years old man with a comparatively dark skin but not black race. Recently I noticed two dark zones on my face skin symmetrically beside my eyes. The appearance of these dark areas may be as a result of the manipulation of my previous acnes. and as I searched its most probably to be a post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH). But regardless of the cause of their development a cosmetic center adviced me to undergo a dislayeration IPL treatment to solve that and I did so.

208686 tn?1293030503 There is one other that a lot of my friends go to but they are mostly interested in a forum that has many topics, including Organic gardening or Homeschooling. Has anyone ever mentioned or thought about having an Organic gardening forum or one for homeschooling? I know these aren't "medical" but they would run in about the same lines as Beauty/ Cosmetics, Relationships/Divorce/Breakups, and Women's Social/Medhelp Social.

Avatar n tn Hi guys, I will be traveling across the globe next week and I would like to purchase some sleeping pills to take with me to cure my jet lag since it's very difficult for my body to get accustomed to the new time zone by itself, and I will be flying to different time zones almost everyday. I'm not very educated on sleeping pills and have a few questions for the experts: 1.) What is the most effective OTC sleeping pills you can recommend? 2.

Avatar n tn He can read, count in English and Spanish, and has very good verbal skills. However, he zones out when in big groups (school and sports). His teacher says he zones out and does not respond to commands when they have rug time. When they go back to their small groups, he is tuned in and proves that he learned what he says. He can also follow commands well when spoken to directly.
