1986676 tn?1329862471 Although my rash was largely a severe reaction to the Incivek, he wanted to give my body a chance to clear the majority of the rash. We could not rule out the role that the ribavirin and the interferon may have played in my allergic reaction to treatment. As a side note, the rash is not entirely resolved. The place on my right arm that we suspected might be an injection site reaction, continues to grow in size - every time I have a shot, although i am taking those in the belly now.
Avatar f tn I know it I never heard of it till mom seen it on the Louisville news, I live in bardstown ky btw. ladies get on YouTube and look up sounds in the sky or trumpets in the sky, it's not easy to explain but there's several news reportsall around the world. look it up tell me what u think!
Avatar n tn I would just daydream and watch them float across the sky. pretend they were snakes. whatever. but now that i am getting older i am having more and more of them. and i too have to shake them out of the way at times to get a clear view. so much for genetics and my eyes!
Avatar m tn I really know nothing about the length of time a Genotype 1 person should treat with Pegasys and Ribavirin because most of us who are Genotype 1 are now treating with 3 drugs (Pegasys or some other type of interferon, Ribavirin, and one of the new drugs which became available in May 2011 (Incivek and Victrellis). Beng on the three drugs gives us Genotype 1 people a much better chance of clearing the virus and resching a sustained viral response (75 - 80% chance now).
Avatar n tn I think the SOC is every 2 weeks at first and less later if all is well. The main reason for CBCs is that the blood can tank so fast - both white counts and red counts - and you need to be aware of what is happening. I think the once a week CBCs are a good idea. Have you discussed with your doctor what happens if the WBC or RBC go down too low?

Avatar n tn What are you taking along with the Pegasus? Though neither tx is easy, I found the Pegasus to be much easier on my body, mind than the Pegintron. Have you had a biopsy to see how your liver is doing?
Avatar f tn My questions is I have a constant sore throat and pain in neck and also indigestion/ in stomach every time I eat. I am convinced its my thyroid issues. The endo doc decreased my Liothronine from 37.5mgcg to 20mcg because of side effects. The last thing I want is surgery. Do others her experience these stomach pains/nasusea/sore throats.
Avatar m tn You need to try one of the new meds in addition with the Interferon and ribaviron. The new drugs will probably come to market in 2011. "Maintenance interferon treatment" does NOTHING. IT DOES NOT REVERSE YOUR LIVER's FIBROSIS. So if that is the doctor's approach, it is futile and you should find a doctor who is aware of this fact. It is common knowledge. ScienceDaily (Nov.
Avatar n tn Will the Pegasus work without CoPegasus, I'm getting alot of side effects, I cant sleep and itchy rash's, I can handle the Pegasus alone but the Copegasus makes me feel bad. My liver function test are normal. Has anybody gotten rid of the hep without it?

The liver is the most phenomenal organ in the human body, performing millions of complex chemical conversions everyday, and replacing tired worker cells 5 times faster than elsewhere in the body.

Avatar f tn I have macular degeneration in one eye and recently I noticed that I have sort of a small spot shimmer in my good eye. This only is seen when looking at the sky or a plain white wall. Went 4 times to an ophthalmologist and retinal specialist and they could not see any macular degeneration and they said I have a healthy macula. I am guessing that a comprehensive eye exam would show a problem and especially done 4 times by a different ophthalmologist. Any ideas what this could be?
Avatar m tn I I will be taking pegasus soon.can my wife be subjected to any of the drug through oral sex with me ?not a joke question.
Avatar f tn Ugh, those dang hormones. I was the opposite where my sex drive sky rockets. My poor husband got chased around the house a lot! :>) but then right after the baby, it plummeted. So, I've had both. A piece of advice is this---- even if you are not in the mood, try to be intimate with your partner in 'some way' (even if not intercourse) on a semi regular basis. They will appreciate it and you will stay close that way.
Avatar f tn I am 48, and am aware i am in the menopausal age range, but i was in complete shock when my blood work came back as FSH of 100. My last period was only 3/4 months ago and my mother was in her 50s when she started. I know i have been under immense stress and travel alot, but i was gob smacked when my blood work came back with such a high level for my age. I am not 70 yet, lol, ..... or post menopausal as i have had periods in last 12 months.
Avatar f tn Cross sensitivity is extremely high between the two if we are applying the same definition. They both encode for almost the same amino acids and very little difference will be observed concerning side effects, severity, etc. I hope this answers your question.
Avatar f tn Mine is very very high in the 3rd. It was with the previous pregnancy also.
Avatar f tn About two months ago somehow my ins. got some wrong info they said no to the meds they have been given me since Aug 2007 so i had to get to the bottom of it. It was a nightmare. the ins company said they didn't deni the claim and the caremark said they didn't deni the claim. I was getting desperate I was still takin the meds. I called caremark to see how it was if I paid for it.he said for a month of the meds it was about $2700.00 thank God my claim did come through.
