ondansetron with hydrocodone

I also got perscribed 4mg ondansetron which for some odd reason is not helping me with my nausea. Is there anything I can do about this? I just took the hydrocodone-acetaminophen and about puked. Im watching five kids and CANNOT throw up while im watching them. Should I just down as much water as I can and eat little snacks so that I dont get sick?

Ondansetron is Zofran hun. Its just the generic name for zofran. Even though theres a lawsuit, id say its more of a money maker. I took it both pregnancies and my babies came out fine. Youve got to look at whether the benefits outweigh the risk with ANY medication. If youre miserable and need to eat for baby, take it. My advice is try to only take it when u really need it, not on a regular basis. Stop as soon as symptoms ease up. Lots of water too.

Ondansetron is the generic for Zofran. Why would you refuse it? It's safe to take or your Dr wouldn't prescribe it to you. There's other meds out there if you don't want to take it. My Dr gave me Diclegis. It helped take the edge off the nausea.

I was prescribed this by the hospital for hyperemesis from 6 weeks until 17 weeks after being admitted due to dehydration and starvation. I still felt ill after stopping but I was able to cope with it better. Im 13 weeks and iv been throwing up everyday since about 7 weeks yesterday i went to the doctor and he prescribed me a medicine called ondansetron . It works so good!
