Avatar f tn You need a certain amount of seafood for the omega 3, and I think they say max one can of tuna a week, but tuna is a higher mercury fish. I think you can have more of the lower mercury ones without a problem, but I would double check with your doctor or even just google it. Make sure you cook whatever you're eating, though.

Also drink bottled water or I guess you could use a filter system like britta. You don't want to be drinking water with all sorts of junk in it. Make sure juices and milk are pasteurized it's very important. When buying fruit there are certain ones you should invest in organic ones.

Avatar f tn you know, I haven't been taking the Omega 3 since I got pregnant - they make me nauseous. I just take my prenatals daily. I try to eat healthy(doesn't always happen) but i do try. I didnt take any Omega 3 with my other kids and their fine, so oh well.

Avatar f tn My prenatals as most fo already have the omega 3 in them so I splurge on a tuna melt or 2 maybe once a month or every 3 weeks. I still dont eat it often due to the fact I know there is mercury content, but the omega 3 benefits outweigh that or so they believe. So I just splurge here and there but LIGHT tuna only!!
