Common Questions and Answers about Omega 3 cooking recipes

omega-3

Avatar f tn Cooking is my form of nesting. I cook meals and freeze, lots of sweet stuff (which my son loves!) I was the same with my first pregnancy too.
671251 tn?1236116671 I checked out some library books about childbirth. I got one book about diet called Healthy Eating During Pregnancy. It says that Omega 3 fatty acids are "brain building fats" for the baby's developing brain. It's especially important to eat a lot during the last three months of pregnancy when the brain grows so much. It's also good for the baby's nerves and eyes. Eggs and certain kinds of fish are good sources.
Avatar m tn Pure salmon oil is good for omega-3 fatty acids, but it needs giving with a Vitamin E canine formulated capsule. CoQ10 is also advantageous. Rehmannia 6 or 8 is said to help considerably too. Pre and pro-biotics - such as Azodyl - are said by many owners to help too. Of course, the type of ingredients much depends on blood readings as well as whether they are high or low in certain elements - so never go more than a couple of months without getting a blood test done. Hope this helps.
Avatar n tn I do both....I have a number of dog food cook books....I have 4 furkids so I usually make recipes like Turkey loafs or turkey patties that go along way...There favorite snack is homemade blueberry muffins. (Also from a cookbook). I make a batch and freeze them..Pull out a few at a time. I eat them, too. They are yummy! :) Made with honey and such with no salt or any of that...I add Icelandic Salmon oil to their food, as it is an omega 3...
Avatar f tn Smells just get to me easily.. that's my only problem. How far are you?
93532 tn?1349370450 I would like to see a way to mark or store recipes from the Health Cooking forum for later use. Perhaps some sort of recipe box in our profile or something of the like would be awesome. Muchas Gracias!

Avatar f tn French toast casserole (totally unhealthy but sooooo good) Obviously for breakfast though And another breakfast-esq Egg, potato, peppers, cheese and your choice of meat or none. Pretty much anything you want in it. Again found simple recipes online But they both required being prepped a night before and then having to set in the fridge overnight, but then baking for not so long.

1943833 tn?1349276589 Thank you for your reply. I'm a bit surprised by the resistance in the veterinary's office (or at least mine) to the idea of home cooking for animals. With so much research available for humans on the benefits of less additives, higher quality, less processed, etc food, you'd think they would be more open minded to the idea.
189192 tn?1261341628 m always looking for new and quick recipes.. I also think cooking at home more can promote a healthier life style, and I know I'm always running out of ideas, so I think it does relate to medhelp in that way....
7406493 tn?1453999212 I need recipes because I'll be forced to cook once my lil guy gets here and can eat what mama eats. Lately, my sister has been cooking meals for both her son and I...lol.

579258 tn?1250649343 Be sure to search the Healthy Cooking forum, too, for similar recipes. We have tons of great holiday recipes...some are embedded in others' posts. If you enter your search term under the SEARCH THIS COMMUNITY area, directly above the RECENT ACTIVITY sidebar on the right side of the screen, you will find some great holiday recipes. (many people do not know how to search specific communities, that's the reason I mentioned this) Change up your search terms, too.
