Avatar f tn About 4 weeks ago, pain in left side of neck occurred. It was hard to turn head and drive. I thought I had an ear infection so I receive an anti-biotic from my doctor without a visit. Pain is getting worse and I am nausea off and on. What do you think is the problem?
Avatar n tn If you use computer a lot or read a lot then the symptoms of headache, dizziness, neck pain, numbness etc could be due to compression of the spinal nerves in the cervical spine region. This can happen due to overuse of computers, work involving straining of neck, herniated disc, canal stenosis, bone disease, spondylosis, poor posture etc. A MRI of the cervical spine and nerve conduction studies may be required. Please consult a neurologist.
1960024 tn?1355014582 I have had pretty severe Pain in the back of my neck that radiates into the back of my head for about 5 months now. I've seen my Dr. and at first he said a pulled muscle then when it did not go away he tried PT, still no relief so he tried these shots that numbed the area for a couple hours, but that was it. There's also lumps now, at my hairline and in the mid neck close to the spine, I decided to see another Dr.

The pain in my neck is most prevalent right at the base of my skull. There is honestly not a minute in the day when I am not in pain. It has been getting much worse over the last 6 months. Avatar m tn Hi khoatic, I promise not to freak you out. After reading your comments, I'm more inclined to think this neck pain is a combination of your running around and lifting things at work between 20 -25 hours and sitting at your computer for endless hours. You say you spend an average of about 40 hours a week " doing it". By doing it, do you mean sitting typing on the computer.
Avatar n tn Hi, I think your symptoms may be due to nerve irritation in the cervical (neck) spine because of cervical disc bulge. This pain may be referred and perceived as occurring in the back of head & shoulders (as it blades)- LHERMITTES SIGN, arms or chest, rather than just the neck. Other symptoms may include vertigo, nausea (dizziness) and stiffness. It will be best that you consult a neurologist who would like to prescribe Pain killers, steroid and muscle relaxants.
Avatar m tn You may certainly have wrist tendonitis, but why the neck and shoulder pain. The pain and numbness you are having could be from your neck and an EMG would assist with that answer. It is a nerve conduction study. You also need an xray and MRI of your neck to rule out that as a cause for your numbness. I would see a neurologist.
Avatar n tn I have stabbing pain on my right side of neck. I've been feeling dizzy along with nausea. My right arm down to my fingers feel weak. I feel my lungs tight.
Avatar f tn Yes, problems in the neck can definitely cause nausea, very bad headaches and neck pain. You probably need an X-ray or possibly an MRI.
Avatar m tn low headache and neck pain are common presenting symptoms with this as well, and i have seen this type of process result in Lhermittes sign discussed above. sweating and nausea could be the sympathetic nervous systems response to the threat or stress(anxiety pain etc) of the episode. . the right hip/thigh pain may be unrelated to all of the above. it could be from your old injury, or more recent herniated or degenerative disc problems. occasionally, knee problems present as pain in the hip.
Avatar n tn Have pains behind my left breast bone from time to time dizziness, nausea, forgetfulness and still gaining weight. Sometimes I feel pain in my neck where the thyroid is located. Have ben to the hospital for numbness and pain in my arms and legs, chest pains they can't seem to find a thing. Have anyone ever had these symptoms. I feel the medication is not doing as it should. Called the Dr. office and his nurse states that there is nothing more he can do, I have to wait to see the endo.
Avatar n tn When I turn my head quickly the headache spreads for a second or two. The pain in my head is always on the top of my head. The back of my neck is always tense and sore and tingly. I don't feel stressed, only when these symptoms come on me. I just got over a bout of gout. I used to get a lot of ear infections because I used ear plugs at work which now I have switched to muffs.

209987 tn?1451935465 Please excuse my tardy response. I had a nasty pain flare for a few days and have been trying to catch up here. I'm so sorry to hear about your long journey through the pain and challenges of Arthritis. My heart goes out to you! I too have pain in my cervical spine and some nasty structural changes. It's a real pain in the neck. :o) An MRI of your Cervical Spine should provide you with answers. It will evaluate the structure of your spine in detail.
Avatar f tn OA does not cause nausea. Because your joint pain is accompanied by nausea and fever, additional probing into the cause of your symptoms should be done. If your current rhuemy is not pursuing the cause of all of your symptoms, you should see a different doctor and change as many times as you need to until you find a doc who will listen to what you have to say, consider the whole symptom set and communicates effectively with you.
