nasonex

29837 tn?1414534648 Recently I went to an eye, ear, nose specialist who prescribed Nasonex. Anyone have any success with it? I say that because I tried it now for two days with no effect. Do I need to try it longer? Anyone?
Avatar n tn These residual effects i am sure will lessen as each day passes but it was a good lesson for you and now it seems like you know what not to do. If you are having probs. w. allergys you need to call the doc and see if there is something that he/she can recommend to you that will be safer for your system. It is just simply your body rebeling against what you put in it......
Avatar n tn OH WOW. This makes sense a lot now with my current experience. I had a bad sinus infection and the hospital gave me Afrin to help with fluid in my ears... which apparently was NEVER THERE to begin with according to the ENT I followed up with. I didn't sleep for THREE DAYS whatsoever after beginning Afrin and my pain got 10x worse even while on it..
Avatar f tn using the Asmanex or Aerobic with the Nasonex if you find that is working. Please do INFORM your physician what you are doing so that he/she is aware.
Avatar n tn But my question is should I go back to taking the nasonex? Was it a good thing that the nasonex made it louder because maybe it was just cleaning my ear out from the fluid, since it stopped ringing completely later that night which it hasnt done all week. But I dont know because it was a lot more irritating that night then ever! When I got out of the hot shower. I'm starting to think maybe the hot shower could be whats really irritating it more.
Avatar f tn I have had various allergies all my life (none life-threatening), when I was a child I had a lot of food allergies that have since gone away, and I have always been allergic to cats, dust, mold, and pollen, most of which required very occasional antihistamines to manage symptoms. But just within the past two years or so I have started developing more serious food and inhalant allergies that continue to get worse. It seemed to start with serious reactions to various types of beer and wine.
Avatar f tn I was on nasonex spray prn or I take 1 puff each nose at times for few years= 4 years. Now I noticed hair thinning and loss. I have stopped the nasonex now. Will my hair grow back as usual? I am so worried. Iam not taking any other medication. But on hair supplements- zinc, vitamin E and multivitamin. Started my hair massage!
Avatar n tn My cardiologist had told me to do a "trial & error" to see. I think Nasonex only has antihistamine in it, which is good. There are some with decongestant and I know that can mess things up. I'm doing allergy shots once I am feeling better.
Avatar m tn I was paying $135 or so for Nasonex, which I thought was ridiculously expensive at the time. When Flonase became an OTC product, I thought Nasonex would become cheaper. That's what competition is supposed to do. But noooooo... I went to CVS today and the price was $218 for Nasonex. That is a total ripoff... Why did the price go up? So what's the difference between Merck, the manufacturer, and a robber with a gun on the street? Answer: The gun. Merck robs you without using a gun.
Avatar m tn Also like to know what meds you're taking. Doctors blame everything on acid reflux, but if it were that you would be feeling heartburn and the like, not just this difficulty swallowing. Reflux is a digestive disorder, and the medication for it is not for long-term use unless absolutely necessary because it suppresses the stomach's production of acid and it must produce it in order to digest protein and minerals.
531684 tn?1216745984 I have to admit It was scary. Deep down, I think it is most likely a symptom of my using Nasonex. The reason I feel this way is because I typically wake up in the morning with a nose caked in dry blood and sometimes blow it out when I'm blowing my nose. Is this a typical symptom? Should I stop using Nasonex? The reason I'm asking is to feel secure, I will certainly see a Doc, but I don't want to worry all day if this is normal.
Avatar n tn I also do not use it everyday, I don't need too, I use it occasionally.
Avatar f tn I can however use just a steroid inhaler along with the Nasonex nose spray, it seemed to work very well for me. Should I try staying with this or try Singular? I thought I read up on Singular as causing liver issues. What do you think would be the safest way to go? Or the best? I LOVE breathing better !! I will be needing most of this daily. Thank you for your time !!
Avatar n tn Everything that the doctor already suggested does help, but I still have to use allergy medicine. I use Benadryl and Nasonex. Nasonex, because it is fragrance-free. Flonase isn't fragrance-free and I could taste that one going down the back of my throat through the nasal passages connecting to the throat. That affected me negatively in other ways, too. I'm glad my doctor changed my prescription to Nasonex.
Avatar n tn he seems very nervous all the time so i thought that could be do to the nasonex also. please let me know what you think. take care.
Avatar n tn Wouldn't think it would be withdrawals. He might have something else going on???
Avatar f tn I use Nasonex and Astepro to prevent polyp formation and to ward off allergies. I also do the NeilMed nasal wash before the sprays. I go to a reputable ENT and he says I'm "all clear up there" and I should have my sense of smell, but I don't. It comes in short spurts. I've also taken Prednisone and it has helped but only temporarily. It doesn't make any sense unless there are new polyps that a CT scan hasn't seen.
Avatar f tn A few months ago I started using Nasonex every day because of allergies. Shortly after my heart started acting up, I was getting short bursts of tachycardia lasting no more than 30 seconds, but disconcerting never the less. That hadn't happened to me for several years, since my medications were switched. My GP told me that Nasonex wouldn't do that but I stopped using it anyway. I had an appt with my EP today and I asked about it.
Avatar f tn Is there anything else I can do to help with the dryness. She suggested Nasonex, which opens my sinus up and I feel like I'm drowing which they do without the medicine. Please advise. Thank you.

Avatar f tn In May, I went to the doctor - he said I had a ton of fluid behind my ears and he thought it was being caused by a sinus infection. He prescribed antibiotics (Z-Pak) and Nasonex. At the time I was having some congestion, ear pain/ache at random times and when I would chew/open my mouth. After taking the antibiotics for a couple days I could feel a ton of fluid sloshing back in my ears when I would move my head side to side.

1687346 tn?1305586491 HI! So I was wondering if there is anyone out there that has used acupucture to help with allergy and/or sinus issues? It has been almost 2 long years working with my allergist and ENT to figure out what is going on with my sinuses. I have already gone through sinus surgery and allergy shots.
