Thanks. I did have a cold and the Dr. gave me a sample nasal spray called Nasacort. I tried it for 11 days straight and didn't get any good results so I just quit using it. I'm going to try it again, maybe this time it will work. I would like to smell again. Thanks for your input.

You can get it OTC in Nasacort nasal spray. Just spray you know where a few times in the evening (when it itched the most fir me). Five days later and everything is gone. Like a miracle.

For several mornings I have to clear my throat, and the roof of my mouth is very tender, when I try to clear nasal passage through mouth I have severe bleeding, this area is very tender and raw feeling. I have to apply pressure bandage to stop bleeding. I take Allegra allergy medication, and Nasacort nose spray. What can I do to stop tenderness and bleeding, and could this be infection?

What kind of nasal spray? Is it a prescription like Nasacort or Flonase or the OTC stuff like Afrin? If it's Afrin that is not supposed to be used all the time, it's really bad. If your nose is bleeding, that could be an infection or maybe from the spray. I'm not sure about the blood pressure. I think you should try to wean off the Afrin. You are probably having what's called *rebound* congestion. Read the label on it. It tells you not to use for more than 3 days.

I had done mri year back and it showed infection in forehead and cyst on left side of face....i am taking nasacort and fexofenadine hcl for months and tried other antihistamine also, but the symtoms persist....i am a liver patient with conginetal hepatic fibrosis and 31 years....liver enzymes r normal....should i take antibotics if so which one and dosae and days? SINGULAIR 10mg once daily. Zyrtec 10mg in the morning. Nasacort AQ 1 puff in each nostril 2 times daily. Nebulizer every 8 hours until you get your strength back. Afterward take your medications and don't skip a dose. I believe you'll be amazed. Your Doctor should cooperate with you.

I currently have the same issue i work in a pharmacy and I verified with my pharmacist he who also has 5kids he said that Sudafed is a class C which means there are no studies bad or good on it so I could take that, but for me that was a no he did however suggest nasacort nasal spray I decided I would wait it out and suffer through id rather avoid using anything as much as possible

One therapy that sometimes works for this condition is a nasal inhaled steroid which temporarily decreases the inflammation, but does not cure anything. You might discuss this safe option with his doctor.
