mobic vs tramadol

I have never been prescribed either, but after reading this forum, I opted NOT to get the tramadol filled. I did get the mobic filled because I only take it once daily so I figured it would be okay. Any advice on this subject would be greatly appreciated.

Ask for something besides a narcotic. (and NO to tramadol!) There are other things that they can try! You don't want to get back on that junk, do you?

The one non-narcotic pain reliever that comes to my mind is Ultram (tramadol). I have talked to many who have used it with success.

3xdaily-lyrica 75, baclofen 10, insta-flex (a joint support medicine ordered off of TV), tramadol 50, methadone 5; and as needed daily oxycodone 15 (up to 6 per day), black cohosh, pro-air. I know this seems like an awful lot of anti-inflammatory pills, but my Neurologist says he has a "plan" and to trust him on this.

i want treatment and to get on with my life. i take tramadol, baclofen, amitryptoline,mobic and symbalta. can anyone help me???

You might ask your doctor for Mobic, or Arthrotec or some other types of stronger NSAIDS. The tramadol is worthless...and dangerous. AVISG saved me from it, and my new doctor confirmed everything she said. Love you AVISG!

My baby girl is sick. She ate dinner last night, through up 3 times. I feed her chicken & rice this morning. Needless to say, she through that up. I can't get her to drink, take her mobic or glucosamine. She only drank a little after eating this morning. She's been sleeping all day. She's 12 yrs. old & usually just sleeps most of the time anyways. She's had surgery on both ACL'S, one 5 ys. ago & he left back leg 3 yrs. ago.

t know anything about Sub, except it is suppose to be three times as strong as Tramadol. And since you are on Tramadol now, I say stay on that and taper off that. Why keep bouncing back and forth from one to the other? It will only bring you pain and discomfort.

The only reason why Tramadol (Ultracet, Ultram, etc.) is not considered a narcotic is because at the moment it is unscheduled in the USA and pretty much everywhere else. It is fairly new being researched and first put on the market in the 90's.

Vicodin is stronger then Tramadol. I think if you get put on tramadol you will be in alot more pain. My father inlaw takes it and it does nothing for him. I took it and it did nothing for me. Vicodin on the other hand did help my pain alittle. I would try to talk him into not doing it, ask him what is the main reason for changing your meds. I hate to say it but if you get them changed like that you will be in alot more pain. This is just my option. Tramadol did nothing for me.

i have taken vicodin for about 10 years now. I have never increased the dosage or abuse the med. my dr recently put me on tramadol which i'll try anything. i am to take 2 tramadol twice daily or as needed along with 800 mg ibuprofen twice daily. i have not found any resolve with this medication (i have been on it 2 weeks). i also have not had any typical withdrawl symptoms from stopping the vicodin. i have degeneration of my t3 and t4 vertebre and spinal rotation and of course subluxation.

Tramadol is just as addicting and worse to come off of .I would look into non narcotic aleratives . ...

ultracet has acetominophen (tylenol) in them, and the tramadol doesnt. They can come in varying dosages. Why is he taking them? Does he want to quit? Tram is a dangerous drug to take and to stop, you have to taper down slowly or you could have seizures. You can have seizures from takign too many as well. How long has he been on them?

Vicodin is a higher pain killer than tramadol. Tramadol to me is no different to tylenol, then i have some friends that are addicted to it. I am coming off of vicodin and i dont sugest anyone take it for any periods of time. I dont know your story but if possible i would stray from vicodin. LIke i said i have used them both and vicodin gave the the pain relief and the "high" i was looking for tramadol didnt even touch the pain.

Worked pretty good the first couple of weeks has helped with muscle pain but not so much with joint pain.. Also I am taking Tramadol 50 mg for pain daily, for about 4 months now and it is not working as good as when I first started using it.. My eyes feel dry and slightly burning and my ears feel like they are underwater with a buzzing noise when I lay down sometimes. Anyone else get this feeling with Tramadol? I am trying to figure out if it is my meds or just stress.

It must be because I was on tramadol such a short time but besides my feet aching so bad I am feeling much much better than I ever was on the pills. Doctor put my on an anti inflammatory which is helping more than any other medicine such as vicodin and tramadol. My energy really is coming back and I was able to go into town and shop and get my hair done after working for 7 hours. Keep in mind I'm only 48 hours in.

(1) Could I take Tramadol/Ultram for back pains I have. I don't now whether or not that type of pain killer would have an effect on me or my Suboxone treatment.. (2) Also, any one who has been on Suboxone like me and is trying to tapper off, or has completely gotten off of it all together. I would like to ask if you had any withdrawl symptoms or negative reactions because of Suboxone reduction. Any info on this will be greatly appreciated...

The mobic helped a bit with mobility (all my joints were stiff and painful by then), but the tramadol did nothing other than make me too sleepy to function. Unfortunately, a few months later I lost my health insurance and could no longer see a doctor to get the Mobic renewed, so I went back to managing with Advil for the next 6 years. In Nov. 2011 I was in a terrible car accident.

I recently found myself in a position where I have no Vs and am unable to obtain any. My doc had given my Adderol for depression and for focusing so I can work. I find that when I'm going through the w/d, the adderol helps with the cravings and other w/d effects, except the sleepless nights, crazy legs and no appetite. I was doing up to 20 Vs a day for chronic back and neck pain from ruptured discs. So many of us have this problem.

Does anyone know if there is help to get meds that keep me narcotic free but actually helps the pain. I heard about Lyrica. Any suggestions? How about Mobic, Tramadol? are these ok?

I started taking Tramadol, gabetin, mobic, and mentholcarbanol, these pills really are not good for my stomach. I already have reflux and lots of heartburn and even though I take Dexilant for my stomach I just couldn't take them anymore.....Thanks for you reply...
