I have stopped using the Triamcinolone Cream two months ago because of the side effects such as periorbital dermatitis.. What are the common causes of a Papular Rash? I am exposed to Dogs and Cats on a daily basis, could this be Toxocariasis? I haven't had a fever but do have a dry cough. The only meds I am on now are Allegra, Zantac and just ending a four week round of Minocycline. If this is possibly from Minocycline, how long does it take for a drug induced rash to go away?

We decided to use a topical cream, for the more oily areas on my face, and for me to take a 100mg dosage of Apo-Minocycline two times a day (morning and night). This worked fantastic for a few months. Eventually, I developed this odd rash on one side of my neck. The skin was very red and dry, somewhat scaly/bumpy, a bit raised, uneven + about the size/shape of my thumb. It kind of itched/hurt as well. I wasn't sure if it was connected to my skincare or not, so I continued with my routine.

I had stop using it and the irritation is even worse. I searched the cream and perioral dermatitis is listed as one of its side effects! So I've been applying a cream that gives me the same skin problem I already have!? Also I'm using Benzaderm 10% wash with aloe vera, Tazorac and taking solodyn (minocycline) for acne treatment. Do these products irritate perioral dermatits even more? and what do I do about steroid cream?

have been on roaccutane for 3 weeks now, I tablet a day, from by derm, cos apparently i have perorial dermititus, after 2 months on doxy and 3 months on minocyline, and my rash (on each side of my mouth) are getting bigger. should i go back on minocycline. And if so, can i take minocycline straight away after stopping roaccutane.

Do the new drugs come with their own side effects besides the ones that soc come with? Not sure if I asked that right, I'm still waiting for everything to come together but if the new meds come with even worse side effects than one might already get maybe that's another reason to treat now.

I seem to have a pimply rash to the side and under my mouth. It doesn't ooze or "pop" like pimples can. It's dry. I did pick at it once (I know bad!) and it scabbed over. It's still here after about three weeks. I haven't been using any new detergents or facial cleansers. I'm so confused as to what this might be! Hi, The adverse effects from minocycline hydrochloride treatment are uncommon, but there are few reported cases of hyperpigmentation as a side effect of its use. The cutaneous hyperpigmentation usually resolves after cessation of the drug. Tooth discoloration, however, generally remains. Pigmentation associated with minocycline most often appears in patients after long-term therapy, usually at doses greater than 100 mg per day.

There are many antibiotics and most have side effects that can be really bad. A lot of drugs on line are not even at the dose they say they are. Also, only some bacteria are sensitive to mnocycline or a particular antibiotic . You can't just take an antibiotic and expect it to work unless you know what bacteria you have and which antibiotics work for it and if that particular strain is resistant to start with.

The same day I reported to dr that I ma getting the itching and when I scratch it is turning into rash. But on wednesday night I did not get any itching or rash. Since wednesday night to until now I did not get any rash. I am wondering if the itch is because of the antibiotics.

sorry to hear your hubby is having a hard time. sounds like he is having some of the common side effects. There is nothing that can boost platlets but many docs let them go really low before lowering or stopping the meds. Try and get back on the full strength of interferon ASAP! Probably the most common side effect is the itching. I have it as well and it is horrible. I have found some relief with a prescription med called Atarax.

Started Minocycline 100mg 2x per day for suspected neuro Lyme and feel horrible. I know herx is possible, but feel more like I'm experiencing side effects, and wondering if I should switch abx. How long should I stick with this? Anyone have success with Minocycline? Do the side effects lessen with time?

I have had this rash that comes up every once in a while for no apparent reason. It is flat, no bumps or sores, but it is kind of scaly and dry. I saw a dermatologist about it and he didn't really know what it was. He treated me with an anti-fungal medication and and medicated shampoo and it helped for a couple of days and then it got substantially worse. I went back to the dermatologist and he said the next time that it was bacterial. He was surprised and confused.

Some people do much better than I did and expereince fewer side effects. I tend to be sensitive to meds and always have to read side effects of anything I take because I will get about half of them.

steroid cremes have been known to have one a major side effect. It can cause periora dermatitis. Also, try to slack off on toothpaste with flouride.

How long does it usually take for the side effects to go away? Is constant fatigue apart of the drugs or the disease? Do you know anything about imuran that I may need to worry about?
