Hi, The adverse effects from minocycline hydrochloride treatment are uncommon, but there are few reported cases of hyperpigmentation as a side effect of its use. The cutaneous hyperpigmentation usually resolves after cessation of the drug. Tooth discoloration, however, generally remains. Pigmentation associated with minocycline most often appears in patients after long-term therapy, usually at doses greater than 100 mg per day.

Dizziness, lightheadedness, drowsiness, tiredness, constipation, diarrhea, stomach upset/gas, nausea, trouble sleeping or unusual dreams may occur as your body adjusts to the medication. If any of these effects persist or worsen, notify your doctor or pharmacist promptly. Remember that your doctor has prescribed this medication because he or she has judged that the benefit to you is greater than the risk of side effects. Many people using this medication do not have serious side effects.

Has anybody gotten a stuffy head and "funny feeling" eyes as a side effect from SSRI's. I have had these side effects before but they went away after a month or so. I'm on Celexa and this stuffy feeling(like you are coming down with a cold) seems to be sticking with me. The med is working well except for this uncomfortable feeling in and around my eyes.

There are many antibiotics and most have side effects that can be really bad. A lot of drugs on line are not even at the dose they say they are. Also, only some bacteria are sensitive to mnocycline or a particular antibiotic . Started Minocycline 100mg 2x per day for suspected neuro Lyme and feel horrible. I know herx is possible, but feel more like I'm experiencing side effects, and wondering if I should switch abx. yes, it is Trileptal. Side effects I have had recently are neutremia, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, headache....seeing my psych doc next week. I am very disappointed that she did not catch this. I will slowly reducing my dose (I'm at 1800 mg now) in order to go off this drug, AND, I will never go back to this psych doc again.

The reason for the change was because of severe side effects. Dizziness, tremors, jaw pain, loud ringing in ears, nausea were the main issues. Now being off the med for 13 days, and have been off of work since Feb. 3rd, I continue to have problems. I cannot drive or even ride in a vehicle without getting severe dizziness. This also happens when watching TV when fast movements cross the screen.

Some people do much better than I did and expereince fewer side effects. I tend to be sensitive to meds and always have to read side effects of anything I take because I will get about half of them.

Is there something that I can do to combat the yucky side effects? Also, what about surgery? I do have a Dr. at Mayo that suggests a consult with the Neurosurgeon. I'd appreciate any feedback or ideas... Thanks much!

Has anyone had experience with side effects from metoprolol after using awhile? I've been on a minimal dose (25 mgs bid) for over 6 months now. I didn't seem to have any side effects to speak of until recently. I do also have positional vertigo. Not only has this gotten worse as of late but I have become unsteady on my feet and dizzy quite often. I had to get a ct scan for tumor in my neck and it was just horrible!
