middle finger pain and stiffness

i thought it was just a jam. now it still hurts but only if i stretch it or movie alot. it is my right middle finger and it hurts around the knuckle. it hurts alittle to the right and to the left of the knuckle when i push down on it also. but there is absolutely no swelling at all. and also no difference in color or size hen my other middle finger. i was wondering whats wrong with it, and if i should do anything about it.

It has been three months since the injury and the pain is still the same. It hurts when I hold my finger and move it side to side and up and down and also when pressure is applied. It also hurts between the knuckle and the beginniing part of my finger when pressure is applied. Also it hurts on my knuckle when pressure is applied. Should I get it looked again right away? Both my middle knuckle and the knuckle on my pointer finger still looks enlarged. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

The results showed negative RF, CRP and low ESR 13 but high ANA 1:1280 titer. He later referred me to see an rheumatologist. More test was done. The results were negative results for RF 7 (< 14) CRP <0.2 (0.0-0.9) antiCCP < 16 (<20) DNA double stranded < 1 (< 4) sjogren's ab <1.

I had k-wire removed 10 days back from the index finger and middle finger of my right hand. However, both my fingers are very stiff, bent and swollen. There is hardly any movement in both of them. it sounds like some joint pain w wrist and fingers (compared w skin and musclular pain?), so a good dr or rheumatologist might have some clues. don't overtrain or force anything, it doesn't help. some stretching and routines that help maintain range of movement and flexibility are beneficial. just please don't pound your inflamed joints, it's damaging. if you find warm packs or cold packs help, do that.

i severely sprained my pinky finger about 3 months ago, no break or fracture though. I've read that for severe sprains stiffness and swelling can last 6-9 months. get yourself over to the orthopedic doctor and he'll probably recommend you for physical therapy. ive been doing pt for a few weeks and I have almost regained full range of motion back but the swelling and stiffness persists.

During all this my right ear feels clogged and I have popping sounds. Then the tingling down my right arm with stiffness in my middle finger and popping. Eight days ago I noticed a tiny black spot at the base of the nail of the middle finger, right hand. By coincidence I had a dermatologist appointment the same day. Doctor said to observe it and hopefully it will grow out. Since then the spot has increased slightly. No streaking. Slight stiffness in finger. Should I get a second opinion?

It started with my index finger having spasms, and then moved to in between my middle finger and pointer finger knuckle. It now is deblilitating my pinkie and ring finger and causing some minor pain in the outside part of my wrist. With my hand straight out I cannot I cannot put my pinkie or ring finger together and I cannot get my ring finger together with my middle finger. Any thoughts? I had a serious accident on 12/5/10 where my middle finger was amputated between the 1st and 2nd joints (above the PIP) and my index finger was fractured (not sure what type of fracture, but it goes horizontally across my finger). Doctors were unable to save the middle finger, but they sewed up my index finger the night of the 5th (it was pretty much split open). I had surgery the following day and had 2 pins inserted into my index finger.

I am experiencing major stiffness in some of my joints in the morning - e.g right hand middle finger middle joint but not left one as much. My feet hurt especially after walking for longer than half an hour. Sometimes pain is worse when I walk and somtimes when I am resting. I am taking mobic and narcotics for pain which only sometimes help. The biggest help is capzasin cream 0.1% which relieves my pain for few hours but not always.

It became swollen, painful and unable to bend, a constant ache and stiffness, as well as a bruise on the inside of the second knuckle. Now I can bend it almost all of the way but still painful to do so, the swelling is down as well as the bruising but it is still stiff. Last summer I woke up one day with pain and stiffness in ALL of my fingers, both hands. I let it go on for about 2 months and the symptoms continued to progress. I mentioned it at my next neuro appt. Over the course of about 6 weeks I lost my grip strength. I couldn't squeeze toothpaste, open water bottle, door knob etc. My neuro was sure I had carpal tunnel, so we did the testing for that. It was negative. So it was eventually determined to be spasticity.

I was in a car wreck it caused whiplash and a head contusion in 2008 and I just had surgery for Herniated Disc I had pain and numbness in my right hand and fingers, in my arm numbness in my elbow pain in between my shoulder blades and across my shoulder, neck stiffness pain in my neck loss of motion in neck and major and many headaches I also had dizzy spells and major sinus problems form it. I tried PT and chiropractors they were a temporary fix and that was it.

I also have had slight arthritis in my left elbow, hip and knee for about 20 years and now also have pain and stiffness in my ankles and both hips when sitting for awhile then getting back up to walk. I am 41 years old about 55 lbs overweight, don't know if all this is related or not, but thought I should include it just in case. Thanks. I am hoping someone might have some ideas?
