About a month ago my dermatologist put me on Bactrim for acne. The Bactrim worked great and my face has cleared up amazingly, but, about two weeks ago, I started having symptoms of what I thought was a vaginal yeast infection. I have never had a yeast infection before, but I understand they are common with antibiotics. My primary symptoms were a burning irritation of the vagina and increased frequency of urination. I called my dermatologist and he prescribed 150mg Fluconizole.
I started taking metronidazole and a probiotic supplement called enterogermina. After the first dose of both metronidazole and enterogermina I started having urgency to pee. I feel like I have to pee frequently. My urine does not have a strong odour and it is not cloudy and has a normal light straw colour. I was wondering if urgency to urinate may be a symptom of bacterial vaginosis or if it may be a side effect of metronidazole or enterogermina?
I'm taking antibiotics, including Metronidazole 500mg for h.pylori. I was at my sister's wedding last night and took 2 glasses of bubbly to toast with the guests, and then switched to water all night (being under the impression that antibiotics just worsen the impact of the alcohol so this is why you shouldn't drink). The doctor prescribed Flagyl (metronidazole) after taking blood, urine and stool sample. He said blood and urine test looked normal., the stool test results hasn' t been released yet. I have started to loose weight and started to feel mild pain in my lower back and legs. Is my doctor on the right track ? ve had Trich std for 6 years, I was given medications from health care providers twice but I still have the symptoms, discharge, urine smells bad and I even had blood in my urine once. s much less stressful on your system with fewer systemic side effects to use it that way. Taking it orally is much stronger, but has a lot of side effects, and this way it goes directly where your problem is. Make sure you use it as long as recommended, and don't be surprised if it comes back, as this treatment often doesn't get all the eggs. Good luck with it.

hello, I have recently had a urine test and tested positive for ngu, been prescribed metronidazole, ciprofloxacin & prescribed myself with doxycycline tablets after research on the web. 1 day after i start medication I notice a rash in the head of my penis, it doesn't itch or irritate me, If I hadn't of seen it I wouldn't of knew it was there? can this be a side effect of by medication, or any other sti?
m really cautious and worried about taking it because i searched and this pill has a lot of bad side effects, like making you really sick. It says that there is an alternative pill called azithromycin with less side effects. I talked to my OB about that and she said that she hasn't prescribed that to anyone who has trich. She said i can take it and come and get re tested but she thinks it wouldn't work. So she prescribed me metronidazole 1 dose of 2 grams. Sounds like a really big dose.

well i been diagnosed with trichomonas vaginalis and the doctor gave me 2 grams of metronidazole as a single dose and a vaginal cream called clotrimazole (3 days). but since i used the metronidazole i had dark urine, i had and upset stomach i couldn't eat or drink anything because i will throw up. it's been 2 day and i don't have the upset stomach but i still have the dark urine how long is it gonna take before the dark uring goes away?
The doctor prescribed me a mega dose of the metronidazole and said I should feel better in 24 hours. I did NOT feel better in 24 hrs I waited a week because everything online kept telling me the symptoms could take a week to subside but when they didn’t I called my doctor and she prescribed me another mega dose. This one did absolutely nothing but make my symptoms worse my cervix hurt so bad.
