Common Questions and Answers about Mental stress at work

stress

Avatar n tn Hey girl, I hear ya! I'm a lawyer and currently between 9/10 weeks. I am paranoid and a complete mess about every single fear you mentioned. I'm so nauseous and fatigued all day I can barely complete tasks that used to be so simple. I've heard that those symptoms typically get better when you enter the second trimester. As far as coping right now? (1) talk to yourself: you are not alone, plenty of us working mamas are with you and going through the same thing- we can be strong!
Avatar f tn Hi all hope your well, not sure if i'm on the right part but i could do with some advice.
Avatar f tn How do others handle stress at work? I work in an office and since ive been pregnant I've been unable to deal with stress. When I'm stressed out I lose all concentration. I mean I'm struggling to concentrate as it is and if someone pees me off I become idle as I can't string two thoughts together. Very frustrating when you have lots to get on with!

Avatar n tn I have found myself wishing for less hours at work due to stress, and considering this same option. However, I have found that the right medication lessens the stress, so I can work a full week. Work focus our minds on necessary things while making us the money we need to live. Another option would be to find a job more suited to your own personal work preferences. Hope this is helpful!
Avatar f tn Is anyone else having trouble keeping on top of things at work. I'm 26 weeks and have quite a stressful job dealing with clients. I'm finding i cannot switch off and constantly look at emails. Even at 01.00 in the morning. I'm trying as hard as i can to be efficient but it just doesn't seem to be working(baby brain). Has anyone taken light duties at work?
11020908 tn?1436227922 I'm 11w2d and I work stock at a health food store. I'm one of the head stockers and yesterday I got pulled into the office because someone said I wasn't pulling my weight and I was asking people to load my carts for me. I'm so stressed out because they threatened my job and the funny thing is that I work the most freight and I lift cases of juices and water and everything on my own.
3360193 tn?1365871889 No you should ask to be taken off. I am 29 weeks and I just went to the doctor the other day because the stress at work was giving me severe headaches. I'm considered high risk anyways, so my doctor had no problem taking me off.
Avatar f tn And what if I have stress at home? Our Six year old seems to oly want to eat chicken nuggets and pizza all the time, and I am not the one to fix multiple meals. We try to fix things that we know arent going to be an extreme battle but she has her days.
Avatar f tn See who els is off that weekend and see if that the normal. At my old job I would always work and my coworker just worked enough to get her 40 then off. It's hard working every weekend and every holiday.
Avatar m tn Try to get into a neurologist and see if there is any brain damage. My husband was hit in the head while at work and they thought nothing of it gave him some stitches and sent him back to work. Three months later we discovered he had developed petite maul seizures and will have them for the rest of his life. Please go get checked. You may be able to control it with medications or therapies. Best of luck to you.

Avatar f tn I literaly feel that I have a fog in my head, and feel like I am behind the world looking at it, with a fog in front of my eyes. I used to be fatigued as well, however I started taking B vitamins and they helped a bit. I took anti-depressants for a while, however while my mood improved the brain fog did not go away. I have come up with several ideas as to what this may be: b-vitamin deficiency, hypoglycemia, diabetes, potassium deficiency, candida overgrowth.

202665 tn?1248806733 I know that sounds stupid. But, I try to smile and wave at everyone at work no matter how bad I feel. I try to say at least "good morning" or if I can't force it, at least wave. I know these sounds like dumb things, but looking like you're "trying" might be better than nothing? That's all I can suggest. I don't think there is such a thing as an even keel. The only thing I can think is there is the surface, and then the water below.
Avatar f tn Just remember everything happens for a reason. God always has a plan. Don't stress. Everything will work out especially with today's medical advancements.
