lyrica overdose symptoms

Lyrica is the one medication that I know of that is made to help with the pain of Fibromyalgia. I am on Lyrica myself for Fibro and it has helped me but I must say that although it doesn't completely take the pain away, it does take away a lot of the pain. It allows me to function like a "normal" person although I really do have to watch what and how much I do. I cannot do things that I used to do, unfortunately but at least I can function. :) For this, I am thankful.

Ok lets get to my question. My doctor has put me on celebrex, lyrica, gabopentin and tylenol 3. for the past two months she put me on percoset. I was supposed to take two a day but went up to 4 or 5 a day not just to releive the pain but for the feeling it gave me. I went into the hospital 2 weeks ago with pnemonia. I was released after 3 days. Thesecond day I was home I overdid it again with thepercoset. My husband went to bed and about 10 mins after that he heard a bang. I had passed out.

Even Co-codomel put me in hospital with overdose symptoms when I had only taken one 30mg tablet - well I had just had an op - I needed it. You end up notr just wary but terrified of taking any drugs. Does anyone else have these issues? I do undestand about balancing things but some near death experiences (literally) caused by drugs to tend to scare you. I am now concerned that I have a real phobia about drugs.

Hey guys, I was takin 40-50 pills of coricidin (the OTC cough med for people with high blood pressure), and cuz i couldnt get them one day I over dosed on xanax and ambien and lyrica. I take Lyrica for my fibromyalgia on a regular basis, was hospitalized and not detoxed medically was not given anything to help with the detox symptoms. Drank last night (10-30-10) 2 drinks and am a WRECK today (Halloween) going to a party tonight and taking my children trick or treating. I'm a mess.

I take about 18 Lyrica a day. Please help me. I will die from overdose or severe depression. I have no one to talk to. My teenage daughters are suffering with me.

I was taking both Lyrica and Ultram. I found that should I miss a dose of the Lyrica the pain was intensified and I didn't like the cognitive difficulty that it caused. I recently discontinued the Ultram after being on it for 3 yrs. Honestly, I am still achy and in pain, but I now see that the Ultram did little to begin with. I never had the dosage increased during the time I was taking it. Take care.

I noted that the neurologist blamed all the symptoms I was having on the med overdose but the some of the symptoms are still quite lively in my body and the meds have been weaned off to a manageable dose so that simply can't be the problem. The gp agreed and said that she is looking forward to me having this test. Like I said...I don't know if this is just a case of PMS or what but I can live with finally having a doctor that is interested in you and I hope it keeps up!

Hi guys, I was just wondering if any of you have been on Lyrica and come off of it having withdrawal symptoms? I started weaning off of it around 3 weeks ago and a week into just backing off from 300mg to 225mg I started feeling exhausted and my blood pressure took a dive sending me to the doctors office. She said my system is not regulating my blood pressure like it should and she thinks it's the Lyrica causing it.

Hello I am sorry to hear your daughter is have so many problems with her new med and pain. I have never taken what she is on. I take Lyrica. When I first started it only took a day or two for my little side effects to stop. Everyone is different so they may start to clear up soon or she may not be able to take this med. She should talk to her doctor and see what they say. That would be the best thing to do. Have her get in to contact with them ASAP She may be having a reaction!!!

it was the shocks that first sent me to the hospital the hospital put me on nortriptyline 10mg and it worked well until i got sick months later then all the sensations and the pain came back i went back to the hospital and the doc said the nortriptyline still might work but gave me a script for lyrica ( i took 450mg a day) to try. the lyrica did not work very well.

so can i take 20 mg of paxil er day and 60 mg of cymbalta and i also have diabeties so the cymbalta helps the place od lyrica because i cant afford lyrica so can i stay on both im very very very depressed

Will swelling and itching go away by continuing to take Lyrica. I started in my hands and feet. I have been taking it a month and the symptoms are daily but are mild and seem less and less. Today, it is only swelling on the top of my ear with slight itching. Should it continue taking it, because i heard that discontinuing could cause a seizure.

Hi, I take lyrica 225mg 2 x a day. I have been and still am where you are. I have had a few bad days where I was looking at that option. I was able to get help from here which was great. I have not talked to any of my Dr's about this due to problems I already have at work and did not want anything like this to help my work mess with me any more than they already are. I am on alot of different drugs so I can not say that it was the lyrica.

You need a lot more neurotin to equal Lyrica. It is similar but neurotin is much weaker than Lyrica and you have to take a ton to have the same effect. I preferred Lyrica but it was too expensive. I have learned that all of these drugs have withdrawals however we don't abuse them like opiates.

I am supposed to take 3 Lyricas (90 mg each) a day: a.m., noon, and pm. But because I am an addict and dumb, I started taking 6 at one time because it makes me high. So I took anywhere from 12 to 18 a day. Now I am out and feel horrible. I already withdrew from oxys and that was the worst of the worst. But I didn't know Lyrica would cause withdrawal symptoms. t have the cravings and addictive behaviors to deal with. Tapering will help ease the symptoms, but just hang in there and you'll be through this in no time. Welcome to the site. Please come back and share often.

Has anyone taken lyrica for fibromylasia and found increased pain instead of decrease?

Many medications for Fibromyalgia, if not tapered properly will cause withdrawal symptoms if stopped abruptly. I would call your doctor immediately and report these symptoms as soon as possible. Have you called your doctor to report your symptoms as of yet?

i just started lyrica yesterday...75mg...only taken it twice...could it ALREADY be helping my symptoms or is the "good feeling" just in my head?

Overdose symptoms are depressed respitory system, you basically stop breathing, dizzy spells to the point where you feel as though you are passing out, blurry vision. OD dosages are certainly unique to each individual and based on tolerance levels. But I dont think 15mg of ocycodone are going to throw you into an od status.

Besides the panicky feeling that has started from taking this drug, I also have horrible stomache issues when taking lyrica. It effects my stomache much like an NSAID would. In short, I would say lyrica may be a savior for some but it has been a nightmare for me.

Hello! My Dr prescribed me Lyrica and I have been readin about this drug, but I can't seem to find anything telling me what is in it. Does anyone know the ingredients? I was told it was a non-narcotic drug but then the leaflet says that it can be addictive and do not stop immediately..blah,blah, blah...does anyone know what is in this stuff?
