lunesta sleep medicine

Has anyone tried lunesta and experienced better sleep with it? I am afraid of trying lunesta because i dont want to feel so nausea again. I didn't take any sleep med last night...didnt have a very good sleep but still i feel nausea. I need something to help me sleep without causing nausea and to help me sleep like a baby throughout the night pleaseee.

Well it originally referred to anything that would put you to sleep. Opiates can do that too. I know that today, they call lunesta "non-narcotic" and that seconal is considered a narcotic but certain old pharmacists. I think today it is used mainly to refer to C-II's.

It's 3 weeks since I've been having a pretty serious depression, including anxiety & sleeplessness. I was put on a new antidepressant LexiPro (15 days now), xanax as needed, which I only need to "take the edge off" when Im shaky, and Lunesta to sleep. This is the 2nd time I've used Lunesta.

i ask my doctor wat i could take to make me sleep since im only get 3 hrs of sleep and she told me not to take sleeping pill. she recommended benadryl (not spelled right).

Which sleep aid is less addicting and less toxic, ambien or lunesta. I have heard ambien is hard on your liver.

Now, just like with pain pills when you take sleeping pills be prepared to go to sleep. They are aiding you not making you go to sleep. It is not anesthesia so don't expect it to work as such. I no longer can afford the lunesta I go to my local VA for my medications and they don't carry lunesta. They do carry Trazadone which is just ok, but I can't take it because it gives me horrible congestion. I would rather breath throgh my nose than sleep.

only take the lunesta for insomnia - not nightly for sleep..... How often daily does he need the diazepam and the fentanyl now? The opana does the same thing as the fentanyl - - keep those as far apart as you can. Dont mix the lunesta and the diazepam in too close a dose. They will also mirror each others affects. Sounds like Doc Jeff could help a little more if he knew how many of what and at what times he takes them.

The highest available dose of Lunesta is 3mg. Recently, thought is that Lunesta, Ambien, and others in this class are very similar to benzodiazepine drugs. But I haven't read much about addiction or withdrawl from these meds. Seems like insomnia would be a given, but you could try melatonin or valerian root to combat that. Good luck either way.

ll add a new category of treatments called anti-depressants to the sleep tracker in the near future. Zopiclone is actually the generic name for Lunesta, so go ahead and use Lunesta (already in the tracker) to track usage of Zopiclone. We'll let you know when anti-depressants are available to track.

I am having to take sleeping pills to sleep. I tried Ambien, Ambien CR, Lunesta, and amitriptyline. Each medicine would only let me sleep for four hours a night. So I am taking the Lunesta right now. But it is very hard functioning during the day as I am very fatigued. My body previously was use to getting 8 hours of sleep a day. Do you know of any other medicines that would help with longer sleep? How long does it usually take for the sleep to return on its own?

I started taking Ambien & Prozac in Oct 2009. I started building a resistance so my doctor prescribed for me Restoril, that didn't work so she started me on Lunesta. After I started building a resistance to the Lunesta my doctor prescribed for me Ambien CR 12.5mg. It's now March 2010 and I need 4 or more Ambien CR to sleep. I can't sleep without it!!! I haven't taken the CR 12.5mg in 24hr and I have the common addiction symptoms.

But after a bed svt episode in december, i have been needing something stronger for my sleep anxiety. My doc also recommended me Lunesta but im too scared to try it, its 3mg. I think that might be a too high of a dose. Does anyone know what can help me sleep without anxiety? Has anyone else tried Lunesta for sleep anxiety. I have tried not sleeping with any med but end up staying up all night panicing even though i am super tired. Please help me get back to sleep so i can focus more on my life.

HI, I don't sleep well either. My neuro gave me some lunesta. He said that if I don't get enough sleep, things will just get worse. For about the past yeat, I have been taking 2 Benedril before bed. I worked fairly well. Sweet Dreams!

One of the main reasons I want to quit is I heard a doctor on a raido talk show talk about how sleep aids like Lunesta or Ambien are good for very very short term, but its not real sleep and your not getting the proper cycle and the proper rest period on them. May be the reason Im so tired all the time. Doc doesnt seem overly concerned with my using it or stopping it.

Hypo and been on medicine for over 9 years. Changed antidepressants 3 weeks ago from Lexapro to Bupropion Xl 150... Bad insomnia hit this week... up for over 36 hours. They gave me Lunesta 3mg. I have taken 2 nights in a row and sleep well. Then today Pins & needles in arms, legs, feet, and head. should I be looking at thyroid again and not the new meds?

The Lexapro help greatly in the diminishing the GAD but I just could not exist with 45 minutes of sleep a night. I was taking Lunesta 3mg prior to the Lexapro for 1 1/2 years. With the Lexapro, the Lunesta was ineffective. The MD put me on 15mg of Remeron with the Lunesta and this really helped.

A cocktail of 10 mg of belsomra and 1 mg of lunesta will allow you to sleep again. Should that not work then add 1 mg of lunesta. Finally, you can do 25mg of belsomra and 3 mg of lunesta... for those with lupis wgo can never sleep. One could also at this point aleep whenever tired; like during the day without drugs. But then youd likely be done for the day; vut you did without medicating for one say. At this point your body is severly messed up and you cant work: so anytime is good.

) I was prescribed Klonopin for anxiety and sleep and she said to not take it with Lunesta (this is after I asked *her*, she didn't mention it until then.) The Klonopin seems to work as well as the Lunesta, BTW. Kevin, I've read that Lunesta and Ambien are the same "types" of sleep aids but that is all I know. I hope Ryan can clear this up for us.

Well, I have gone 3 nights without the lunesta and was able to sleep better. I still dream, but not as vivid and not as wild. I know it won't take long before I'll need something different, but maybe I can gather the courage to try the ambien soon. My PCP is scared of it because it caused her to do weird things that fortunately her husband was there to stop her from getting out of hand. Maybe I can get her to get me a sleep study as well.

okay so I've been clean from opiates for two days. Woohoo, right? But I've been taking a lot of ambien and lunesta that I had, sometimes enough to get high. SO they arn't my drug of choice but Im still technically using right? Its just really hard for me to C/T EVERYTHING. I don't know what to do. My boyfriend thinks I'm doing good just because I threw all the percs out. I feel so guilty...again.

could someone please tell me how to get to sleep without taking serax, hydros, soma, benedryl all together I am a walking medicine chest, help me, but I need my sleep. how to start to go off all this stuff and still sleep and feel good the next day?

I'm having a slightly different problem. I'm exhausted by bedtime but when I sleep, I'm up after 4-5 hours. After that I just toss and turn in the bed all night. Then I end up having to take a 2-3 hour nap during the day. But even when I skip the nap, I still don't sleep well. I thought it was just because I worked 3rd shift for years but I don't know. I don't have any helpful suggestions though. Sorry.
