As of last week (maybe two weeks ago), I had reduced my Klonopin intake from 3 MG/day to 1.5 MG/day.
It's 3 weeks since I've been having a pretty serious depression, including anxiety & sleeplessness. I was put on a new antidepressant LexiPro (15 days now), xanax as needed, which I only need to "take the edge off" when Im shaky, and Lunesta to sleep. This is the 2nd time I've used Lunesta.
Hey all, so I got tired of not sleeping more than 4hrs a night after being off of Tramadol 42days and my Dr gave me Lunesta. I asked if it was addicting and he said yes but you won't buid up a tolerance to it... I would like to hear this though from someone that has taken this medication and has had to come off it... How hard was it? What where the wds like???ect.ect any info on this would be appreciated...Thank You.

You might try taking a combination of Valerian and Melatonin when you stop the Lunesta. I was taking Lunesta in my early withdrawals and it did make me sleep, but that nasty taste was to much for me. I must say I haven't really slept really well since, but the herbs I mention do help somewhat, I take a hot bath before bed then I take them. From what I've heard Lunesta withdrawals are mainly mental, but you can get addicted to just about anything.
The highest available dose of Lunesta is 3mg. Recently, thought is that Lunesta, Ambien, and others in this class are very similar to benzodiazepine drugs. But I haven't read much about addiction or withdrawl from these meds. Seems like insomnia would be a given, but you could try melatonin or valerian root to combat that. Good luck either way.
Just take a dose and stick to your schedule. You can really negatively impact your mental health by taking too many.
If you want to stop taking the Xanax, you'll need to ask your doctor for a proper, and slow taper plan. You cannot just start cutting doses in half, and so forth. This is why a doctor should be the one giving the instructions, to minimize any withdrawal symptoms.
You will most likely experience some rebound insomnia, so discuss other alternatives with your doctor for that as well. If I may ask, why do you want to stop taking the Xanax now?
Trazadone is a great med that helps with sleep and it will also help w/anxiety the next day after u take it.I remember taking them when I was taking like6-8mg of xanax a day and I quit and took the trazadone to help w/sleep cause benzo w/d is rough and sleep doesnt come easy.Well to my surprise it helped a lot with not feeling like I was gonna jump out of my skin.The only thing is for me((maybe cause I needed it so badly)I slept9+hours the1st few times I took it).
I was being overmedicated by my psychiatrist. I went from taking nothing to taking Klonipin 1mg 3-4x/day, Inderal 10mg 3x/day, and Lamictal. I got up to 150mg of the Lamictal after 7weeks. I had a dangerous and deadly reaction to the Lamictal. I was told to stop it suddenly. My life has been a disaster ever since. I feel I was better before I took all of this stuff. I have been suicidal due to the sudden stop of the meds. Last Saturday i tried to kill myself.
I dont know why it is making me nausea. My doc then perscribed lunesta 3mg. Has anyone tried lunesta and experienced better sleep with it? I am afraid of trying lunesta because i dont want to feel so nausea again. I didn't take any sleep med last night...didnt have a very good sleep but still i feel nausea. I need something to help me sleep without causing nausea and to help me sleep like a baby throughout the night pleaseee.
Each medicine would only let me sleep for four hours a night. So I am taking the Lunesta right now. But it is very hard functioning during the day as I am very fatigued. My body previously was use to getting 8 hours of sleep a day. Do you know of any other medicines that would help with longer sleep? How long does it usually take for the sleep to return on its own? I would rather being sleeping on my own. Any suggestions or help you can provide is greatly appreciated.
I take 20mg of Ambien at night for sleep. I have tried everything, including taking time off the medication to get it to work. However, nothing seems to be working. Recently, my doctor added Trazodone 100mg to help the Ambien work. Can anyone think of anything that would work like this?

I've been on 175mg trazadone and lunesta (anywhere from 1.5mg (half pill), 3mg (full pill), or 4.5mg - one and half pills). I usually do 175mg trazadone plus half pill lunesta for sleep almost every night. i've been on the sleep meds for about 2-3 months. Sometimes, i take just lunesta since I have retrograde ejaculation due to trazadone. I take these medications for sleep insommnia. They work. I also take propecia for hair loss (not sure that it's related).
