Im 18 weeks, my dr just called this morning saying my bloodwork has shown I should be on lovenox shots once a day. I do not want to be on these shots and have my baby have some wierd side effect because of them. Im pretty holistic and am already on an low dose asprin (which I dont like taking) a day and they still want me to do this. Ive done lots of research but still im torn between following my intuition and following drs orders.
I think your doctor wanted you to have enough Thyroid Hormon since your test results were at lower end of normal range. I have Thyroid problem and need to take 150mg Synthoid during my pregnancy. Synthoid is safe to take during the pregnancy. Don't worry and good luck with your pregnancy.
Well I also took Lovenox during my last pregnancy and it is really a give and take situation. I hated taking the shots and had bruises every time I had to give myself a shot and it totally hurt but I have a clotting disorder and doctors thought it was best for me to take it just in case. I think that wouldn't it be better to be safe than sorry?

Any drug is prescribed by a doctor based on the indications and potential side effects expected if any. Usually Prednisolone is no longer used than the first pregnancy test. The heparin, aspirin are usually continued till your 10 weeks gestation is reached. Is it safe to use Lovenox and Ibuprofen at the same time? What kind of side effects should I expect if I do so? (I do not experience any pain).

Yes, I'm currently taking it..I've been very tired this pregnancy thus far but not sure if its a side effect of the med. I'm 12+5 along and you..if you don't mind me asking why exactly do you have to take it.. congrats!
I have never had any side effects whatsoever w/ either Heparin or Lovenox, so I don't know. Sometimes the anxiety of having to give yourself a shot if you're not used to it can cause angst and side effects :0)...that happened to me my first time. What doseage?
Has anybody used the blood thinner lovenox? My doctor put me on it for the whole pregnancy. I just forbid out I was carrying 4 days ago. I'm very nervous because I've had 3 miscarriages before this.
Just watch for abnormal bleeding Like bruising a lot or bloody nose and report to doctor. Its more important to prevent a blood clot because it can be so dangerous.
During the first few weeks of pregnancy has anyone experiecnced nosebleeds? I've been reading about it but never heard of this happening before I looked it up. It doesn't seem like a common symptom. I'm only about 7 weeks and this past week I've had a few nosebleeds, I've never had them before. I'm hoping it's normal and will stop soon. Any advice???
HI, I can't speak to the overarching issue...that is something for a doc to discuss w/ you certainly. However, I had a very large DVT that stretched from my groin to my knee in my last pregnancy (he's 6.5 now) and am pregnant again. You won't likely be on Coumadin during pregnancy (I'm guessing) but they'll switch you to Heparin or Lovenox (I'm on Lovenox).
This is not a side effect you would normally expect from that medication. There are many reasons for short-term memory problems the most prevalent being that your unconscious mind is preoccupied with something else and you aren't paying that kind of attention that you usually do. You can do something for yourself which is try to settle down within yourself, have a good conversation with yourself, and be in touch with your deeper feelings and your deeper concerns.
