I started taking baby aspirin and folgard 2 weeks before I found out I was pregnant. I am also injecting 30mg Lovenox everyday after positive pregnancy test. The pregnancy went well except bad nausea and vomittings. At 15 weeks I vomitted blood. My OB asked me stop aspirin for 2 weeks. I did and my nausea and vomitting were gone after 1 week. He asked me to resume baby aspirin after 2 weeks. I did and after 1 week I vomitted again.
my first pregnancy with this dr. and taking Lovenox for the past 15 days.....Had second sonogram yesterday and saw fetal pole, yolk sac and heartbeat!!! I was so excited, I was on cloud nine all day...until two hours ago when I heard my latest #'s.....already spoke to dr. he said not to worry and go for blood test Mon.
He did tell me originally that the minute I think I;m pregnant I should start the Lovenox. I started it when my levels were only42!!! Good luck to you.
Lots and lots of it. Enough for a pad, as well as cramping. I thought for sure my pregnancy was ending. I called my husband to come home from work. He drove me to my perinatologist where they did an ultrasound. The ultrasound showed a well formed gestational sac, a fetal pole, and a strong heartbeat. No ectopic, no molar, no blighted ovum. Everything looks normal. I had been taking lovenox for a protein S deficiency with factor V mutation.
I also have the same issue. My IGM first came back borderline and then the 2nd 2 tests were just slightly positive. I don't have any history of miscarriages. I'm on 40mg Lovenox a day and have been spotting brown blood for past 2 weeks. I have heard Lovenox causes bleeding. I don't think I need to be on Lovenox. My Rhemetologist said some docs would think Lovenox is necessary while other docs would think I wouldn't need Lovenox.
I just had a miscarriage on July 30th and I was 23 1/2 weeks pregnant. I was put on Lovenox and a baby aspirin 2 weeks prior to miscarrying. The Doctor seems to think that when we get pregnant again that I can get on Lovenox and baby aspirin when i'm 7 weeks pregnant and that the pregnancy will be a healthy succuessful one. I'm just wondering has anyone else had a successful pregnancy taking Lovenox? Just really nervous and have alot of questions now.
Has anybody used the blood thinner lovenox? My doctor put me on it for the whole pregnancy. I just forbid out I was carrying 4 days ago. I'm very nervous because I've had 3 miscarriages before this.
Well I also took Lovenox during my last pregnancy and it is really a give and take situation. I hated taking the shots and had bruises every time I had to give myself a shot and it totally hurt but I have a clotting disorder and doctors thought it was best for me to take it just in case. I think that wouldn't it be better to be safe than sorry?
I've had pulmonary embolism before I was pregnant. I had 3 clots in one lung and two in the other. It was quite painful and I was treated with warfarin/coumadin pills and eventually the clots dissolved. Warfarin is NOT to be taken when pregnant because it will effect the baby so Lovenox/ heparin shots are often prescribed seeing as it is faster acting and won't reach the baby.
In other cases you might have to take a shot of low-dose heparin every day (usually lovenox). I have Factor V and have had two miscarriages, although my doctor does not seem to think it has anything to do with it, as it seems to have more of an impact in the second and third trimester (I was supposed to start Lovenox when a heartbeat was detected). Both my miscarriages were early on (8 weeks and 6.5 weeks).
I was just recently on lovenox and I did my injections in my legs. I have to tell you the pain was not as bad as doing it in my stomach but I did end up with a lot of bruises. I am now on fragmen shots and I do them in my stomach cause my legs have not healed yet.Btw if you were wondering they took me off my lovenox at 37 weeks but I had trouble getting my insurance to pay for the fragmen so I didnt start it until I was 38 weeks and I had my baby after only being on it for 3 days.
On 12/1 I had a complete metabolic profile drawn for a routine endocrinology follow up and LFTs then were ALT 17 and AST 18. The Sectral and Lovenox were initiated before my preop labs on 1/29, which showed LFTs elevated (ALT 120, AST 59).
I am concerned that the Sectral has been toxic to my liver and want to stop the medication now. I will be having labs repeated on 2/13, and will see the gastroenterologist again on 1/21.
I've had history of PE's. I'm also on Lovenox shots and my doctor has me taking a baby asprin once a day too. I started shots around week 12. I have Kaiser health coverage and my copay for my shots are $30. I just hit the 20 week mark today and so far everything is going well. Good luck and congratulations!
