As well it feels like bones(?) are being pulled apart in the wrist. I also have some numbness on the left side of tip of thumb to the first knuckle. I use a splint, have tried both topical and oral anti inflamatorios, as well as ice. Not getting better.
I had sex with my partner for about an hour. Nothing different. No unusual pain. Of course soreness afterwards, I'm a pretty Small women.
Well my clitoral hood now has swollen the size roughly like the knuckle to the tip of your thumb.
It's quite embarrassing, large and uncomfortable. I can feel it when I walk. But at touch it is completely numb.
Is this going to go away on its own? Or am i going to have to do the walk of shame into the clinic?
I posted prior about pain in my knuckle starting in my left index finger knuckle. Since then, in early January of this year it transferred to the opposite knuckle. I went in to get tests done and they came back negative for RA, OA, and gout. Everything looked good on the x-rays and there was no cartilage worn down on the joints. Since I got it tested, the pain has continued to transfer to surrounding knuckles but not to the same pain level as the original left index finger knuckle.

I was bit by a stray cat on June 7. It was on the right knuckle and more like a scratch. The cat seemed in good health and I picked it up thinking that I could return it to its home since it was friendly {purring and rubbing on my hands, well fed, clean eyes and fur, etc}. The cat was fine till my husband walked up to me and then it freaked out and bit my knuckle. I washed it and that was that.
I have been experiencing an almost constant ache in the ankle and a burning pain which radiates into my foot and up my leg a bit. It also feels as if it needs to be cracked, like a knuckle. I have an appointment in 10 days with a new orthopedic surgeon who specializes in benign bone cysts. I am wondering what could have caused the first bone graft to not work and what the chances are that a second operation would work?
One is on the right side of my thumb joint and the other is on the right side of my pointer finger knuckle. There is numbness on that thumb near my fingernail. It has been there since I woke up. The red spots aren't raised or itchy or anything, just normal skin except reddened. It doesn't seem serious so I don't know if it merits a visit to the doctor as of yet.

Within another week and until now there is a lot of atrophy to the left of the base of my thumb. There is no pain nor numbness and I do not detect any strength loss. Also, the ring finger knuckle sticks upward more than the other fingers. The picture is not great but hopefully you can see the areas in which I am speaking of. I do not have a neurologist appoint until the end of May and am beginning to worry that I may lose use of this hand if I do not do something a little quicker.
If the stitches are removed tomorrow, with the redness, pain and swelling, is there a chance this will force the suture line open? There is alot of numbness in both areas, is this forever? I am a home health nurse, so naturally I am very worried about infection, I go back to work on 12/24. I have been off since the injury. Thanks for your help!
Also when I lay my hand flat on the table and hold down my finger from the third to second knuckle the remainder of the finger 3nd knuckle and above can bend backwards while the uninjured finger can not. Which seems to me like it could be broken or ripped tendon granting it increased mobility.
I don't want to get an xray without just cause because my mom thinks I am overreacting and don't want to go an end up proving her right.
You may have severely bruised the bone, or fractured it by the force that went on the hand as you landed.
An xray of the hand would be able to show whether you have caused damage to the bone.
In the meantime strap the middle finger to the two either side to immobilise it. You can apply a lot of natural yogurt to that part and lightly bandage it. This helps by drawing out the inflammation.
Keep your weight off that hand too until it is fully healed.
when i grip anything with my right hand, like scissors or any hand tool, and squeeze, i get a sharp pain in my middle knuckle, i noticed it about a year ago, it was not bad at all at first, but over the last week its become a constant. all other knuckles on both hands are fantastic otherwise,im dont recall any injury or reason why this is happening, any ideas?

In the last few months the index finger on my right hand has been going numb from the knuckle that is closest to the fingernail to the tip of the finger and it turns a very weird white color. After about 10-15 min. it goes back to the normal color and the feeling comes back along with a cooling sensation that last just a couple of min. This happens only about once a week or so.
For over 1 year now I have had excessive stomach bloating, constipation, gas, lower back pain and almost clear urine. The dr.'s don't have any answers. A CT was just done with contrast and iodine iv, no significant results. A small stone was found near my kidney, but they don't seem to think much of it. I am doubled over in pain, have not had a bowel movement without laxative in months and even with the laxative only a small amount comes out. I am 49 years old and female.
The back of my wrist feels tight, the wrist is easy to pop (and gives relief when it has been) and the central knuckles of my index and ring fingers feel stiff (not all the time). There's no twitching, it hurts even when I'm not typing or using a mouse and there's no numbness. I can feel the muscle between my index finger's base knuckle and the wrist move when I click though, and there's a resulting, momentary twinge of pain.
Briefly, when I bend my head back I get some numbness and tingling (not pain) in my hand and wrist.) One last note: Before the doctor inserted the needles she took a alcohol dampened swap and briefly wiped several places on my arm and the spot on my hand. When I say "briefly" I do mean briefly. She just barely touched those spots with the swap (she seemed to be in a hurry). She did not "rub" them thoroughly.
In hindsight this was a bit stupid but we live and we learn. Unfortunately I am still getting stiffness, discomfort and pain around the knuckle area of my little finger. My little finger also points in towards the rest of my hand rather than straight which is a little annoying. I have a couple of questions:
a) What specifically is causing the pain stiffness and what is the best way to manage this?
b) Would drastic action such as just amputating the little finger resolve the joint pain?
i had a total middle knuckle replacement on my right hand the knuckle that forms a fist, i had more range of motion with my old arthritis knuckle that i was born with, i will not never ever have another knuckle replacement i will keep the joints i was born with , i would rather have them because they have more range of motion and the silicone knuckle only provided 45 degrees of motion, if you go beyond that it will break, I regret having this operation, because i was better off with the knuckle
I have been having pain on the inside of the palms of my hands just around the knuckle areas... Usually it starts with me rubbing it and the more i rub it the intense it gets but at the same time offers me relief. I dont have any pain on the top of my hands over the knuckle areas at all. The pain is only localized to my knuckle area and does not spread through the fingers or upper arms. There is no reddness or swelling.
2 weeks ago I got a thorn in my knuckle. I pulled it out and a pain shot across my knuckle. It was very red, hot and swollen. The day after I went to the Dr’s who put me on anti biotics for a week, flucloxacillin. The swelling and redness reduced. Now it is slightly swollen with a lot of pain in the joint of my finger, all around it, where I touch the knuckle, or use my hand , I feel. It . How long might this pain last ?
