itchy

Been to two doctors used meds like singulair, inhalers and antibiotics its beginning to worry me so i am thinking should i go to an ENT.
he has attributed it to general allergy and the solution offered is antihistamines which do help. However i do not want to consume antihistamines for the rest of my life. Can someone suggest something.
Back in December I had a problem with my ears itching (I assumed they were just dry and used Mineral Oil to ease the itching). So back to the itchy throat -- it's been somewhat persistent but it comes and goes and is never horrible -- every now and then I have a slight cough or have to clear my throat. Some of my co-workers had similar problems and they suffer from allergies.
Now my throat hurts again, I have a dry itchy vagina and itchy eyes. Also I have what I believe to be a bartholin's cyst. No discharge though. I was treated by my Dr 2 weeks ago for a kidney infection after I urinated blood. Is this connected?? I'm driving myself crazy thinking I have gonorreah! I can't get to a clinic for 2 weeks... Do any of these symptomps sound familiar??
When you wash, do not use any soaps, shower gels, bubble baths or any feminine sprays. You may also have an allergy to any hair removal product or to shaving (if you do that). Mild non perfumed soaps and baby bath gels are fine. Only wear cotton underwear. Do not wear tights or tight clothing like trousers. Wash your clothes using non-biological detergents and use the non-allergenic fabric softeners. Eat a healthy and well balanced diet with fresh fruit and veg and natural yogurt.
Is it itching outside our tickling your throat in the same spot? do you have to clear your throat? is the area raised?
I have always been like this, when I stay overseas, well most of iot is either onboard a cruise ship and in Hongkong, I feel just fine but few weeks after I got home to Manila, I develop a dry itchy throat coughing and it embarasses me in my new office. My office mates, though they do no say anything I know suspects that I maybe seriously sick. I have tried taking antihistamines for a week but it does not improve.
If you had partial but not complete improvement with the inital treatment for yeast longer treatment, perhaps with a different anti-fungal medicine, may help. In addition, you need to do your best to stop scratching. Scratching actually tends to make areas itch more, not less. Your doctor might be willing to give you something to reduce the itch, particularly at night when it is worse for most folks. EWH Good luck.
I have a itchy throat for about a week which causes me to cough alot.I thought it was allergies, but the medicine I purchased at the store doesn't seem to help. The coughing gets worse at night when I lay down to sleep. It is getting to where I only sleep a couple hours a night because the itching of my throat won't stop and that when the coughing gets worse too.I do sleep with a fan on,would that make it worse?I would appreciate any help or comments.
yes the fungus can be in your throat, i work at an urgent care facility and i have seen people with gonorrrhea in there throats from oral sex, you most likely have thrush(yeast infection) in mouth, you shoould see your dr and get treated, you can get very ill if it is not treated hope this helps
I barely sleep at night b/c my coughing would wake me up. What type of doctor should I go to next. I have Never had this problem before.
Just have some clarifications. Aside from the itchiness and fatigue, do you have other signs and symptoms? What other examinations were done on you? Are you taking any medications now? Your symptoms are nonspecific and do not point to a single disease entity. It could be an allergic reaction to something you are taking or using now. For now, you can take any antihistamine just to control the itch. You can try Cetirizine or Loratadine for the itch.
But anyway, my mom has this irritation in her throat. She isnt trying to clear her throat when she coughs, its just very itchy. She tries not to cough, and this results in vomitting her food. Water and tea does seem to help, but it only delays the coughing, which continues later on the day. We've also noticed that she coughs a tremendous amount at night. I seriously have no clue what to tell her or what medication I just recommend.
It appears, from what you say that the onset of cough coincided with the granite cutting. If so, you could still have dust in your lungs, causing chronic irritation, leading to cough. You could have developed a form of asthma, with cough being the main symptom. Asthma medicines might be helpful, until your lungs are able to completely clear the dust. Should you again cut granite or anything like it, be sure to wear a mask designed to filter out very fine particles.
I have an itchy throat with dry cough. My voice is affected . I melted lozenges for my throat and gargled with warm salt water , still it's uncomfortable. What natural remedy can I relieve myself of this itchy throat, dry cough with a low unusual sound of my voice? Thanks.
Your symptoms could be due to a sinus infection, a cold or a chronic allergy. It could also be due to a deviated nasal septum. Sometimes it can also be due to sleep disorder called Obstructive Sleep Apnea. When a person sleeps the airways are usually patent allowing normal passage for air entry. The upper airway that is at the region of the tongue and the soft palate is the most compliant (soft) part. So, this is liable to collapse and cause airway obstruction.
i am in mexico for 6 weeks and developed this suddenly in the first week. i don't know what to do and am in severe pain. i am worried that it is chagas disease but the head of research says no. (i am at a biological reserve in jalisco, as my husband is on sabbatical). could you tell me what it is? i had fish ceviche the day it happened but am not allergic. i am prone to dermatitis and eczema though and often get rashes but never swollen.i used a sunscreen that day also.
I'm having a bad sore throat for two days now, and it doesn't seem to go away. It's a bit itchy as well. I woke up today, and my upper body was soaked in sweat, my pillows and sheets. Both of the lymph nodes under my jaw feel hard and swollen, but not anywhere else on my body. I'm not experiencing any fever. Just body aches, weakness, tiredness, sore throat, and night sweats for the second time. Do these sound like ARS? Read on my exposures.
Hi, It would be helpful if you could tell us what antibiotics were you prescribed earlier? Also do you have any other symptoms like breathlessness etc? Are you on any medications? You chould consult an allergy specialist and get a proper clinical examination done. You would need to get a complete hemogram or blood work done again and also a chest xray to rule out any lung related cause for your cough. Have you noticed any symptoms of sinusitis etc?

I am also very sensitive to smell. Even the mildest smell makes me cough right away. What should I do with this dry chocking cough? Please help me. I am losing a lot of sleep and energy because of this persistent dry chocking cough.
) Besides this, when I read your reply I remembered that I was taken out my wisdom teeth, my gums closed 3 of the spaces where the teeth were, but on one gap, the gum closed it but not completely, I mean, It doesn't bleed, was taken them out 3 months before the encounter and it seems not to close more than what it is now !!! So...do u think I put myself at risk? Do u consider this to have "poor oral hygiene"? Thank you again.
