This is kind of strange but every time any form of heat turns on my nose and sinuses go crazy. I get incredible sinus pressure, my eyes water, I start sneezing continuously, and sometimes it is so hard to breath that I can't talk (It just feels like my throat is closing up). It won't take long for this to happen but it is especially fast/bad when I am in a car right next to the vent, which makes things interesting in the wintertime.
We actually give ours the regular kind (non-drowsy of course). Works like a charm and stops the itchy skin, watery eyes, runny nose, eye boogers & sneezing. Late April through August is allergy season for our girls, so we stock up on Benadryl big time during those months!

• Does she seem to sneeze a lot? • Are her eyes itchy, red, and watery? • Does the skin under her eyes look dark or purple or blue (doctors call these allergic shiners)? • Does she breathe through her mouth? • Does she have a dry cough? • Is her skin irritated or broken out in an itchy red rash? If you answered "yes" to one or more of these questions, there's a good chance your baby is allergic to something in her environment.
I used Flonase in the past. Same thing. I'm on Benadryl all the time, otherwise I would have an itchy runny nose, sneezing, plus this sinus pain. I can't take ANYTHING for pain. I've been dealing with a kidney issue, so NSAIDs are out. I'm allergic to Tylenol, and I'm allergic to all opiates. When I was hospitalized with renal failure, the hospital had me lying down on a K-pad to deal with the intense kidney pain, because there isn't anything left that one can take for pain.

Hi, You need to see an ENT specialist or allergy specialist and get your self investigaeted for sinusitis and rhinitis. Has a CT scan of your sinuses been done as yet? Have you taken any medications as yet for your symptoms? You should try some oral antihistamine medications, steam inhalation, saline nasal drops and breathing exercises - they should help with your symptoms. Consult a specialist and talk to them whether steroid nasal sprays and antibiotics would help in your case.
At first I thought it maybe dust etc, so changed my bedding and did a major spring clean but last night I sneezed uncontrollably for an hour and this morning I have been sneezing since I got up (2 hours now). I also have itchy eyes, headache and my nose and cheeks are tender to touch. It is also affecting my sleep - I keep going hot and cold during the night and can't sleep properly because I'm so uncomfortable Is this just another cold/ continuation of the last one or something else?
Sneezing Runny or stuffy nose Cough and postnasal drip Itchy eyes, nose and throat Watery eyes The problem, I am have with the symptons of mols is it did not give me enough information.
Its gets supper itchy and i cant help but press the corners of my eye. This leads to an instant cold- watery nose, sneezing and eyes become very uncomfortable. This problem is driving me crazy as it is happening almost everyday. I consulted a doctor and he said that this is a dust/smoke allergy. He gave a course of 7 days-eye drops- Cromal. It did give me relief, but after a few days the problem has again started. Need your help. Is there a permanent resolution to this problem?
Cotton Ultra Comforting Cleansing Milk and had a terrible reaction. My eyes were terribly itchy and watered constantly. In the morning, I woke up with crust on my eyes and white discharge. For over a week I didn't think it was the cleanser because my skin had no adverse reaction. However, after visiting the doctor, it was determined I had an allergic reaction to this L'Occitane product. I have stopped using the product and my eyes have made a full recovery.
When the pollen season is underway the first appearing symptoms are itchy and watery eyes. There may be irritation on the roof of the mouth or in the back of the throat. These symptoms follow with sneezing and runny nose. You can experience congestion, wheezing, headaches, and coughing. T he pollen count as well as humidity is high especially in the morning, as a result you can experience these symptoms as soon as you wake up. Keep windows closed when the pollen count is high.
My eyes at times get very dry and itchy, as well as sometimes feel like there's pressure behind them. My nasal membranes also dry up at times. These symptoms seem the worst during changes of season, so I've always assumed that its allergies. That said, most people that I know who have allergies complain more about runny noses, sneezing, etc., which doesn't seem to happen much with me. So, can someone confirm that this is indeed allergies and not something else?
The primary symptom of rhinitis is a runny nose along with sneezing, watering of the eyes, congestion of the nose and itchy nose, throat, eyes, and ears. You are right in saying that steam inhalation is beneficial in rhinitis. Along with steam inhalation, you can take nonsedating antihistamines like cetirizine (Zyrtec) or loratadine (Claritin). Moreover decongestants and topical decongestants may help in reducing congestion of the nose.
Allergic rhinitis is a collection of symptoms, mostly in the nose and eyes, which occur when you breathe in something you are allergic to. This may present with itchy nose, sneezing , runny nose, tearing eyes, nasal congestion, and even headache. Have this evaluated further by your doctor for proper management. Your medical history and physical examination will help. It is important that you avoid what causes these symptoms.
Hi, My dad is suffering from watery, itchy eyes and uncontrollable sneezing fits (these fits being followed by an increase in tearsand itchiness). This has been going on for quite a while now and is at the point were he is squinting due to the pain \ itchiness. He opthamologist and has tried antihistamines and natural 'tear' type drops. The antihistamines, however, caused a mucus like discharge which was apparently worse than the itchiness prior to trying medication.
I would agree with your vet though, it sounds like allergies. While most dogs get itchy skin and ear issues with allergies, a small % of them get itchy runny eyes and noses and sneezing is common. Being a beagle and having a great "sniffer" I bet she is also more sensitive to irritation of the sinuses and therefore sneezes more quickly as well as loudly.

Hi - for quite a few years I suffered with allergic rhinitis, eyes would water , constant sneezing, itchy roof of mouth etc etc. various things sparked it - dust, car exhaust fumes, car air freshners, cut grass and for some reason private collection perfume. I was given neoclarityn , beconase and eye drops. This brought it under control and for the last few years I haven't had that.
In the past week her eyelids are slightly swollen, skin is red on lids and around eyes, and is peeling and itchy. looks similar to a sunburn yet she has not been in the sun. She does have allergies and they do seem worse than ever this year but I am wondering if this could also be a side effect from coming off of the zoloft? She is currently on 50mg. Has been taking 10mg of laratadine for allergies and benadryl and ibuprofen to help with these "allergy" and pms symptoms.
