Is arthrotec safe

Common Questions and Answers about Is arthrotec safe

arthrotec

Avatar f tn Arthrotec works well but is useless as most nsaids are during a R.A flare. If you are only having mild RA pain and just need something to keep it under control I highly reccomend trying Arthrotec. I am not a physician so of course speak to your RA Dr before using arthrotec dont want any issues with contradicting other meds you may be taking. Of course only you know what your pain level is and on major flare days only strong narcotics will help sometimes.
Avatar f tn Arthrotec is an NSAID, aspirin is also an NSAID, if that helps any. I don't thinks is quite as hard on your stomach as plain aspirin is though.
Avatar f tn From what it sounds like is maybe Fibromyalgia. Did you only get tested for RA? I've been tested for Lupus, RA, Lymes disease, B12 def. (which was low), Ect... If you have been tested for everything else, I would assume Fibro. Can you ask your Dr. for a referral to a specialist?
Avatar f tn I cannot sleep longer than for 2 hours. I was given Tramadol and Arthrotec for the pain. I now take Arthrotec and paracetamol after suffering a vomiting fit. I am tired of waiting to receive an appointment to see the hospital neurosurgeon to whom I was referred. I was told to get an ambulance back to hospital immediately if I became incontinent or numb in that area. What does '...
780647 tn?1304020942 I also see that a physician prescribed Arthrotec for you. Arthrotec is used to treat osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis in people at high risk for developing stomach or intestinal ulcers. Both conditions can be extremely painful which explains the symptoms you are experiencing. Have you began the medication yet? It may take some time before you see the benefits. Some times NSAID's need to "build up" in your system before they are truly effective.
Avatar f tn Hi... I was diagnosed with ostearthritis & fibromyalgia a few years ago...and have been taking mobic since then, which has worked. About a month ago, the mobic didn't seem to be working as well.. my hands were hurting a lot at work... so I went back to my dr & he changed my medicine to relafen for the osteoarthritis & lyrica for the fibromyalgia. Although the lyrica seems to work, I'm not liking the side effects, puffy hands & feet & eye twitching...
Avatar n tn i want to know could it slow down the healing process? is it necessary to use arthrotec?
513154 tn?1340225289 t even help a bit and non of the arthritis over the counter meds help either. My question is... is there a non narcotic pain medication that I can take every day? I am 45 years old and very healthy besides my arthritis. thank you!
Avatar m tn My question, already posted in part, is: is there any downside to steroidal injections which I am told may be up to 4 times a year. I have stopped, cold turkey, taking dilaudid which I have been on for over 4 years. (Resection in 2006 and ACD&F's (2) in 2008 (C5,6 and C6,7), Problem is, not ony am I concerned about the down side (everyone talks about rebound effect from Cortisone) but I am ideating about ending it all, I am so tired of being in pain.
Avatar m tn i am on very high doses of morphine, oramorph, tramadol, dihydrocodeine, baclofen, arthrotec & some paracetamol for a bad back. I also have osteoporosis & take calcium tablets for this too. This has gone on for 5 years since i fell off the back of my old works truck. Oh & 2 lots of pills for high blood pressure.
Avatar n tn I've taken 8 grams of tylenol yesterday morning and 9 grams of it this morning (all were taken in one dose), but I don't feel 'gross' or whatever. I can't fall asleep easily at night but nap during the day (i'm unemployed now), my urine is pale green or white, my stomach is distended (bloated), I have malaise, and tire out SO easily. I can't even bother to shower everyday anymore. Before yesterday, I was taking 3.
Avatar n tn Pain meds do not control the pain, either over the counter or prescribed and the stiffness in hips and knees and feet is affecting my balance. I asked if continues joint destruction would occur if I stopped the anti-inflammatory meds and he replied "no". I am under the impression that it is the inflammatory process that causes the destruction of the joint. Who is correct ? Thanks !
Avatar f tn Have you asked your Dr. abt. Arthrotec ? It is supposed to help out alot for people who can't take regular nsaids. The Imodium has something in it that is suposed to help with the receptors in the stomach. It will help with the diareah too. If you have muscle rub then go for that, I use Voltaren gel alot for my arthritis. It does seem to help. Doesn't smell bad either. Epsom salts in the hot/warm bath water, soak awhile. Heating pads are wonderful too.
Avatar f tn Everything came back normal and the cardiologist I met with said my heart is fine. Could something have been missed? Is there another test I should have to be sure? Could acid reflux cause these problems? I have also recently had my cholesterol checked and it is well within normal range and my blood pressure is fairly consistent at 118/78, I'm also a non smoker though I am overweight. As always, your input is greatly appreciated.
Avatar m tn At present the pain is continuous with sharp added pains which worsen when i sit. it is excrutiating at times in my left calf to mid knee and sometimes travels to the thigh. I am a diabetic but I have lost over 85 lbs and my blood sugar levels are well under control for the last 10 years. I have taken ibuprofen which does not help. the doctor gave me arthrotec and i have taken it for three days. it didnt help tonight. i am taking a pain killer but i hate taking them.
1232362 tn?1333135406 I now have pain doing things like lifting light items like a quart of milk or opening the venetian blinds, turning my head to the right is painful. The pain is not like a typical stiff neck, but like I'm being sliced open with no anesthesia. I do have a herniated disc at c6 which I had a cervical epidural for almost a year ago. Could this be acting up again? I haven't done anything active to aggravate it so I'm at a loss for why it's so incredibly painful.
Avatar m tn m under the impression that the Penis Skin is different from any other type of skin on your body? Is calamine lotion safe to use there? I can't seem to find any OTC products that are specifically meant to heal penis skin? Docsgram, thanks for the insights, I'll pick up some "pure lavender oil" and bring it with me to my Derm appointment. I'll see what he says before I try it out. In the mean-time..
