hyaluronic-acid

Avatar m tn Could it cause vision problems, I have seen that the main ingredient of restylane is Hyaluronic acid, I have found a topical cream that is 75% hyaluronic acid, I know this wont work as well but do you think this is an option or not even worth spending hte money on the cream. Any comments or experiences would be great.
Avatar f tn While pregnant do stay away from retinols which are anti aging. They can cause birth defects. But look for something that has hyaluronic acid in it which is a natural chemical our body makes which helps retains moisture by 1000x its weight. So it is super hydrating which will help reduce and prevent wrinkles.
Avatar m tn ve had my eyes dialated twice and in both cases (one with an optometrist and one with a opthamologist) I was told everything looked fine and that my floaters was due to aging as well. The MD did a very thorough examThe reason I made the connection was that hyaluronic acid seems to be involved in both cases so I was curious if there is a connection. If you don't mind me asking, why would joint inflammation be a cause of concerns for floaters...?
Avatar m tn hi, in short, the skin becomes sensitive in the later years and as the sunlight becomes more and more harsh with passing time, the damage to the skin becomes greater. as a rule of thumb, caucasians tend to have more damage, however people who may have darker skin may also suffer from some damage. the best thing to do then is to avoid sun exposure as much as possible. use clothes which cover your arms and legs and also headgear to cover your face.

Avatar n tn Hi, Fraxel Laser has been designed to change minute volumes of target tissue with the alteration of the appearance of aging and sun-damaged skin. Tiny microscopic wounds on the body result in a healing process that responds to the coagulation of collagen fibers in our skin It may be used in rosacea, however suitability and other customization issues may need to be addressed before the treatment is rendered.
Avatar n tn I have tried Olay regenerist, ROC and Garnier Nutritionist and currently seen ad for Hydroxatone that contains matrixly 3000, argireline and hyaluronic acid and is there anything you can recommend I use that can help minimize the wrinkles while adding collagen and elasticity to my skin. I am tired of products that offer a lot but delivers nothing. I want a product I can stick to. SO PLEASE what would you recommend I buy and how should I use it.
Avatar m tn Because you are asking about hyaluronic acid, and because of the recent addition of GAG's to pharmacy shelves, I think it's important to address a few points about the uses of these compounds therapeutically. On the up side, hyaluronic acid is the same from whatever source it is isolated, and it is so common in the body that it can be used as a hypoallergenic surgical material for reconstructing and building up tissues that are lost.
Avatar m tn Some patients swear by the joint supplements, such as chondroitin, hyaluronic acid, and glucosamine. There is some anecdotal evidence that these may help thicken the cartilage, but no strict research has ever shown this to be true.
Avatar n tn may need packing, go to A&E and see nurse :)
Avatar f tn A few days after the wounds healed up and stopped seeping fluid, brown dots started to form around my wound, and I am wondering what these were and if I should be worried. I made sure to put neosporin on the wounds everyday. I hope this is in the right forum, I am new. Here is a picture http://imgur.
Avatar m tn sounds like your right, The inflated skin is now hydrated. Burns have a lenghtly healing process. The tissues responsible for rejuvination of skin tissue have been damaged.
Avatar n tn I had great skin growing up, but recently my skin has been way more difficult to handle. I am a 25 year old female, and about 5 week ago I started getting hard, unpopable bumps on my cheeks and one on my forehead. They were painful and big, and I am still dealing with the scars. They flattened out and are still red, but I thought my skin was getting better and healing. Like I said, I don't get very much acne, so this is new to me.
Avatar m tn I asked the vets about the possibility of a skin graft and was told that Margaret has very thin skin and they fear the host site would end up with an open wound when they try to lift a graft. I asked if there was a canine version of something like Dermagraft for people, but they didn't know of any. Also, until today the bandages were changed using Hydrogel, but today it was wrapped using just a nonstick pad.
Avatar f tn Proteases help reduce inflammation, clean out debris and infection, and stimulate healing. The can result in clean, yet exposed tissue that is very sensitive. Think of a sizable infected wound on a skinned knee that just won't heal. The wound is sensitive and inflammed. It's raw. Nerves are exposed. As you attempt to clean it out and remove the cruddy infected tissue, it hurts. The raw nerves are exposed. It might also bleed a little.
Avatar m tn a large boom went off that sounded like a mortar and my hand slipped. It broke the skin and penetrated to a depth of approximately 1/8 - 1/4 inch. It bled and was treated at a TMC (troop medical center) with some antiseptic and a bandage. It seemed to heal but never fully recovered. This occurred mid 2009 in Iraq. Today, it still lingers with a cracked surface and red swelling underneath which looks like it is pushing up and causing the cracking in the skin. Any ideas how to cure this?
Avatar m tn Bacterial numbers are very high in diseased skin and will easily enter the wound site during surgery, regardless of the amount of pre-surgical prepping done. Very occasionally, wound infection may also be a result of poor surgical technique (e.g.
Avatar f tn Hello, The pink skin is due to healing of the skin which is due to granulomatous changes. Please do not mess with it and let it heal on its own. It may heal with post inflammatory hyper or hypopigmentation and then the treatment can be decided. I hope it helps. Take care and regards.
Avatar n tn m worried this is happening to my brain, hyper-aging the tissue, because my cognition has recently been affected. The slow and impaired wound healing has spread from one area to my entire body, now up to my face, after which my problems with cognition started. What is going on?
Avatar m tn Also diabetes leads peripheral neuropathy, atherosclerosis etc which make wound healing troublesome. You need a culture sensitivity of wound scraping to know what antibiotics will suit the infection. If there is underlying dermatitis, then this needs to be taken care of. If there is severe atherosclerosis preventing blood supply to wound, then this needs to be diagnosed by angiograms. It is better to get this treated at a wound clinic.
Avatar f tn What vitamins can I take to prevent aging? Exclusively the face and neck areas. If there is not a vitamin, can herbs help and what kind? Any Natural Preventions?
Avatar n tn Thanks Dr. HHH. Yes, I was mixing up fissure with fistulas. I know I'm thinking about this too in depth, but "intact" skin for all logical purposes of HIV risk includes open wounds/cuts/breaks in the skin such as healing wounds.
Avatar m tn initially i left that as it is but the wound was not healing faster (adding to the problem after the bath the skin which is kind of healing i.e turing brown comes of and skin is red ) so far no puss. the doctor also suggests to apply hibi cleanser.
