So my question is - you, who started with rather atypical ADEM being diagnosed, how it went for you? How long it took to recover and /or - did you had new symptoms appearing after the bout and still stayed with ADEM only?
Whatever you would like to share, would help me to better understand what's going on because I'm really scared by this indetermination. Living for the next five years like this, worrying about is it just ADEM or it will be MS...
According to my vet this is supposed to help with inflammation and allergies.It supposedly helps raise good cholesterol.I certainly hope I'll get to see some results.I'm told it takes about 2 to 3 months to see any results.I guess I'll have to wait for his next blood tests to see.
Can anyone tell me how long it takes for HRT to start working? I have been taking estradiol and norethindrone acetate for almost two weeks and so far I don't feel very much better. It has helped the hot flashes somewhat but the other symptoms are about the same. Isn't it supposed to help with sleep. This is so miserable. I still cry everyday and the shaking is still bad. This menopause is the worst. I wish I could have been one of those who breezed through it.
ve read several articles stating that acupuncture could be used to lower FSH Levels and therefore my husband decided to go for it. He did five sessions and the acupuncturist advised him to take some tests to check whether there is any change at all in the results. My husband took the tests about 30mins after his fifth session and his hormone levels went sky high. His FSH shot up to 80, LH went up to 34, Prolactin went down to 324 and Testosterone went down to 1.6.
s always best to start a lower dose, usually 25-50 mcg and work up because it takes time for your body to get used to having hormones it's been doing without.
You might want to talk to your doctor about backing down on the med until you get used to it again.
Was TSH the only thing tested? You also need the Free T3 and Free T4 tests.
Yes there are some incompetent people who read the tests...Unfortunately i can attest to it all too well. Have had to have 3 surgeries due to the misdiagnosis, and mis readings..
If you take thyroid medication it usually takes about 6 weeks to notice a difference, but not everyone is the same.

I have a question, I have a diffuse goiter that grew alot since my first scan. My t4 and t3 levels are normal and my TSH is borderline at 3.4. My doctor gave me Synthroid 25mcg a day for three months and then I go back to see what my antibodies are and to see if the goiter is smaller. My question is, how long does it usually take to see if the symptoms are getting better...three months???? I can't sleep, I am so tired and very forgetful.
I take my prenatal pill one times a day. And It has everything I need But No omega 3 an I heard to take it 2nd or 3rd trimester. Just don't remember what was said.
I have no problem going on Celexa or some other SSRI if that is what it takes to not feel anxiety and all the physical symptoms that go with it, but is it possible for SAM-E to work so quickly? Could this be a placebo effect? I am curious what other people have experienced using SAM-E. I take one pill in the morning and it is 400 mg. I was thinking about taking one in the morning and one at night, but I want to know what experienced users have done.
Definately NOT trying to scare you, trying to give you a heads up of how long it REALLY takes to get this **** out of your system. Also, it takes 3/4 days from your last dosage for real w/d to really kick in b/c of suboxones extremely long half life.
You will have to ask him and MAKE HIM TELL YOU THE TRUTH as to how much and how long. It will do him NO GOOD to lie if he was using large amounts. See if you can get him to understand this.
I just want to know how long this takes. I am starting to take Omega- 3 fish oil, vitamin D and a multivitamin. Also, Ginger tea is supposed to help with the nausea, but I haven't tried that yet. I try to drink 100 oz of water a day. Positive thoughts are getting me through this also. I am strong enough to get off this awful medication!
It takes 4-6 weeks for a med change to reach full potential in your blood, then after that, it can take another few weeks or even a couple months for your body to get well.
While I don't condone sassiness and talking teenagers talking back to their parents, ask your mom to be patient and understand that the thyroid controls quite a few body processes, so without it, your entire body has to readjust and get used to the medication.
I was just wondering how long it took most of you who read these posts and actually have hsv in either form on how long it really took you. My doctor insists that the new tests I've taken would be a clear answer in 4-6 weeks, let you know that's two doctors a gp and a dermatologist very well known in my area. But thanks just curious if the 12-16 weeks is a little too long or just to be safe, just wondering what the real average is for the real people on this site.
Hi, how long have you been taking the Omega-3 supplements, and what do you mean by "after a while"? Are you talking minutes, hours, days, weeks...? Why are you taking Omega-3 supplements in the first place?
It's possible that you're just getting a spring cold and that's what the crawling in your throat feeling is, but if you're distressed, then I would think you could stop taking the supplements for a while and see if the symptoms go away.
