Hi Grappler. I'm not sure if I can help you or not with your stomach, but will try my best. You didn't give a lot of details on what exactly it is acting like after your injury. Are you dealing with pain, spasms, ??? I'm the resident Crohnie (and resident rat) here. LOL. I've had Crohn's Disease my whole life, so have a lot of experience with the digestive system and different meds they give for it. You said to email you, but you forgot to include your email address.
Depends on how much you were taking and for how long...generally the worst is over in 3-4 days. I highly recommend, if you can, see your doctor and ask for clonidine, a blood pressure med that does wonders for withdrawl symptoms and perhaps something for anxiety. I'm on day 11 right now, started on clonodine on day 1 and I never really had a bad time..the med will make you somewhat lethargic and dry mouthed but it does help, as plenty of folks on here will agree.
)Does anyone know how long this will last? I haven't slept since Monday at 8 PM, and it's now Thursday morning, almost 5 AM. I'm not tired. I'm feeling loopie. Sleep aids are no help, I tried high blood pressure pills, no good. Any advice would help: ) The mental cravings are still there, but I've just looked the other way, the way that shows how far I have come and how hard I fought to be here now. It's helping. But...the shaking...arg!
if you love him and want to help him, first he needs to stop the denial, nothing can happen until he is honest with himself and friends and family and realize he is in trouble...how long has he been taking the roxis? does he buy them illegally off the street if he runs out? are there times where he says he is sick with the flu and cant function? does he kind of nod (sleep) in and out of consiousness when its time to sit and relax? is he extremely moodie, angry when he has no drugs?

When I think about how I could have had the surgery because of Tramadol, it makes me feel crazy with anger at this system of medicine! What in the world are we doing to people? It's like that kind man who came on and wrote about his wife's experience. You don't go around screaming, "Lupus! Lupus!" Before you know anything! It's unethical to do so! So I read somewhere that day 30, 60 and 90 are tough for people. In my case Day 31.
Welcome Tramadol Warriors! Fred wrtes, "I stick with it because I remember how the T-train caused INCREASED pain all over my body, in places I never imagined I could have pain. I stick with it because I can remember what it was like to be in the FOG of TRAM, to walk into a room, and forget why I was there, I stick with it because I would rather not get killed on my motorcycle from being too fogged to care what I was doing.

I'm worried about the pain. Does anyone have any suggestions for alternatives that may be allowed in the prison system? Thank you!
The length of time withdrawal symptoms occur can range from a couple of days to weeks depending on how high your dose was and how long you were on the drug. Withdrawal symptoms can be reduced by discontinuing use of the drug slowly (i.e., gradually reducing the daily dose). Tramadol is more complex than other opiate and opiate-like medications because it also appears to have actions on the GABAergic, noradrenergic, and serotonergic systems in the brain.

Like many, I was told ultram/ultracet was safe. 5 surgeries in 2 years and I got a big problem with getting off ultram/ultracet. I'ts my responsibility and I blame no one else. Anyway to sum up. I was taking 6-9 tabs a day, say 400mg for arguements sake. 9 days ago I started tapering down like this: 6 then 5.5 then 5 then 4.5 then 4.5 then 4 then 4 then 3.5 then 3.5 then 3.5 today. No problems till yesterday. Bad depression/anxiety during the day. crying, mad, ashamed, afraid.

What do you mean by stopping them once a month? For how long? And if you know, how long does it take to become dependent on them compared to the Vic's? From what I have been reading the WD's are far more intense than the Vic's and that does concern me.
I am so sorry you have had so much tragedy in your life.
