Avatar n tn Really plenty of fluids and juice to flush your body are the best with whatever foods you can tolerate. A balance of protiens, carbs, and fats are good for recovering after a run on drugs. Your immune system will be down so be sure to stay away from sick people and wash your hands. People say Vitamin C, so go for that if you wish. Ecchinacea is good. Sugar helps for certain drugs.
611067 tn?1458591483 I was reading the post about cats and problems with their bowels and read about the raw food and the more natural dry foods. I have been doing research and since we have 5 cats and not a lot of time, I don't think we can do the raw foods just yet (and hubby is out of work). But, we are looking at the various dry foods and I specifically like the EVO from everything I've read, but it's just way too expensive for us just now.
5549258 tn?1449083082 Yep, yr libido is up because being addicted to opiates kills your sex drive so in simple terms your body/brain is seeking pleasure/relief and is working get back into balance. This is an extremely common part of the withdrawal process, but will calm down eventually as your brain adjusts to gaining pleasure from the wide range of other "normal" activities as well...
773755 tn?1328119777 Like all hormones, growth hormone levels peak at a young age and decline as we get older. Growth hormone is one of the master hormones of the body. It can control the release and balance of the other endocrine glands Growth hormone can be given only by injection. It is a bioidentical hormone. There are supplements which are reported to stimulate the release of growth hormone. those supplements has been mixed at best.
Avatar f tn Hi im 18 can my GP offer a hormone test as i feel i have a hormone balance or is this something you have to buy like a kit (i also have an under active thyroid)
Avatar f tn The first thing I would recommend is to not douche. It can really mess up the ph balance in your vagina and actually cause infections. Has your Dr took a swab to test if you do have an infection? Most of the time you can't tell just by looking. Are you on hormone therapy? You might want to have a blood test to have your hormone levels checked. Do you have problems with dryness or excessive wetness? Sorry about all the questions but the more information we have the better we can help.
Avatar f tn I love spicy food and continue to eat it (I am pregnant) I was reading some very interesting research about trying different foods and how it's healthy for the baby (except for food that's been put off the table like fish rich in mercury, raw eggs etc we have to stay away from the unsafe food during pregnancy) but other than that if ur tummy can handle it by all means eat spicy :) but make sure u are eating all the nutrients and minerals necessary as well.

1042487 tn?1275279899 The best way to balance your hormone is a good lifestyle with healthy diet and exercise. Exercise lowers stress hormones, boosts your energy, builds bone mass, and increases immunity. Choose an activity that you like ( walking, dancing, yoga, sports ) and do it several times a week. Healthy diet and good water intake is also important and as for what is a healthy diet i think i was clear above but i will be more clear. Eat whole, organic, unprocessed foods.
Avatar f tn Keeping to a healthy and well balanced diet with lots of fresh fruit and veg, meat, fish and keeping off junk foods and foods that are processed (like white bread) and cutting down or avoiding foods that have lots of sugar in them, including avoiding fizzy drinks and too much alcohol can help with premenopausal symptoms. You may also find Evening Primrose oil helpful. Do make an appointment to see your doctor and get checked out. Let me know how you get on. Best wishes.
Avatar f tn A healthy diet is also very important for hormone balance and good general health, home made veg soup and meat such as chicken is very good, and obviously fruits. This is all good, helps with hormone balance, if there not balanced then periods are effected. Good hormone balanced means will help make ur period regular, pls avoid fried foods, junk food, fizzy drinks and limit Caffine and tin foods as much as possible. 5.
Avatar f tn Does your heart beat fast or irregular? Do you have trouble breathing? It could be a hormone fluctuation or could be a blood sugar issue or it could be related to the heart but odds are the heart is being affected by your cycle and approaching menopause. I would see a doctor for a check up. Get a full work up to make sure all your electrolytes are in balance and let them know what your heart is doing.
Avatar f tn sure - its almost common sense after I went through horrible digestive issues myself. When a problem with the hormones T4 and T3 in the body are no longer at optimal levels the body slows considerably and the digestive track is effected. Diet plays a huge role when the body is slowing down and it requires you as a patient to help both issues... usually raising the T3 hormone back again and eliminating the "boggers" in your diet congesting things.

Avatar n tn i stopped taking cerazette last year and not been right since, could this have caused a hormone imbalance?
Avatar f tn I have had allergies for years, started with asthma as a child but grew out of it, I eliminated wheat gluten and dairy from my diet my allergies subsided for the first time in my life. Start with the Anti-Inflammatory detox first and slowly add foods back to the diet. The detox triggered an allergic reaction in the middle of January for me, it only lasted about 24 hours. This has never happened before, I believe it was my body rejecting toxins that had built up over time in my body.
Avatar n tn Hello, Causes of post menopausal bleeding could be ovarian cysts, endometriosis, diseases of pituitary gland, hormonal imbalance of estrogen and progesterone, thyroid hormone imbalance, cervicitis and cervical cancer. Your doctor may consider tests like blood sugar levels, thyroid function test, prolactin, follicle-stimulating hormone (FSA), estrogen, and testosterone. Imaging studies, such as ultrasound, X-ray, and CT scan or MRI brain may also be recommended in certain individuals.
Avatar m tn However you also have to balance not eating these types of foods with the other benefits those same veggies offer from a nutritional and health aspect. And there I think is little evidence of the significance or impact that those veggies really have on the thyroid level. It may be that they do in fact have an effect, but it is so small that it is of no consequence. I think lifestyle in the form of stress and general overal health has more of a combined effect on thyroid.
Avatar m tn Hello, I was needing help with trying to figure out the weird symptoms I have been having after eating. After eating certain things, particular salty foods and dairy, I have been getting lightheaded, headaches, change in vision, dizzy, and sometimes, nausea. I noticed when I eat the salty foods, I also get tense around my arms and ankles, and having head pressure and dizziness. The symptoms seem to sometimes affect me all over too, with tension throughout my body.
Avatar f tn Is there a reason why more people will not do the colon hydrotherapy detox? Wouldn't this make more people healthier?
Avatar f tn You might want to take a natural hormone balancer such as Myimin....and then you might want to start to detox your body. Cancer is formed from either yeast or chemicals. I don't think there is a test for either. Go to health food store and get pH test strips. Learn about alkalizing foods...also research AHCC. There are yeast cleansing products (The company 'NOW' offers a good candida eliminator)....caprillic acid is also good for taking out yeast.
Avatar f tn Avoid over-processed foods which have excessive fat, sodium and preservatives. Instead, eat a balance of whole foods, including fruits, vegetables, lean protein, dairy, whole grains, healthy fat and fluids. Fruits and vegetables in particular are extremely important for women at this age. Regular consumption of fresh, colorful vegetables and vegetable juices is one of the best ways to protect yourself against heart disease and cancer.
Avatar m tn Then when puberty goes into full gear, whatever piece of the puzzle is missing, this seems to effect hormone levels, immune system balance, etc. I see the same thing in my kids...loss of muscle mass, food intolerances, anxiety in one, depression in another, intolerant to carbs, etc. Whatever the problem is, it has a body wide effect. Food is one thing that can improve symptoms, maybe not completely, but partially. We have genetic defects of some sort. but keep it in perspective.
