Avatar f tn So who all is experiencing a heat wave where they live, and who has felt like complete crap since it started?
Avatar f tn No heat wave this year but last year it was horrible, and its very dangerous to get a heat stroke, but in Montreal they have a heat wave and humidity its horrible, and that his not a good combination for me because Im allergic to water and my own sweet so I can't do anything :(
1903798 tn?1333905288 I have a nice pillow that I bought at JC Penney. It has little bean's in the inside. So when you lay your head down on them they form to your head. Also I recommend a warm heating be liner. All stores carry these. They are fixed under yu blanket so your heat doesn''t exscape like a heating blanket is. I also like my neck ring I wear this when I'. sitting in my head it is something a little softer for the head.
Avatar f tn In researching- There is such a thing as Hyperthermal treatment of tumors done DIRECTLY to the tumor. I would think if this is not clinical heating, rather heating for general body warmth , there would be absolutely No effect on the tumor itself. Keeping kitty comfortable with a warm heating pad sounds like a good idea to me, just make sure in addition to the LOW setting you do not place your kit Directly on the pad, rather a towel be placed between the pad and your baby.
Avatar f tn I'm 7 months & My back is hurting today and I used a heating pad for the first time today. I used it for about an hour on medium but out of nowhere I jumped up thinking the heat from the pad could heat my back up too much in turn giving too much heat to the baby. The only thing I've found on the internet is to not put it on the stomach of course but heat radiates and I'm freaking out juuuuust a tad. Any insight?!?!!??
Avatar f tn Is using a heating pad safe in pregnancy? I'm using it on my lower back. Had a pinched nerve and back is flaring up again. They didn't let me use the heated table at the chiropractor so I'm not sure about it. Thanks for advice. Definitely don't wanna cause any harm.

Avatar f tn I Relax with a heat pad on my back all the time. I'm now 38 weeks along with a perfectly healthy baby girl. I wouldn't suggest sleeping with it though as you can't monitor the temperature or anything when you're sleeping.

Avatar f tn I'm 35 weeks also and I am someone who can sleep with a heating blanket in the summer... now even when it is 45 degrees outside I am in short sleeves hot and uncomfortable..
Avatar f tn I have an herbal heat pad (my best friend), and I sleep on a plug in heat pad. I LOVE heat. Ice has been suggested to me, but I feel like that just makes me cold and cranp up, so I don't like to use it. The Doctor I work for recently told me that too much heat can actually cause the inflammatory process to worsen. I am going to ask my PM doc about this the next time I go in, but has anyone heard of this? Do you you a lot of heat for pain?
Avatar n tn t use it for long spans of time, and keep it on a low heat setting.
