280369 tn?1316702041 t be a problem if you already had the chicken pox. My daughter AND husband came down with chicken pox when I was 4 months pregnant with my youngest daughter, and the doctor said as long as I had already had them, there was nothing to be concerned about. Is he any better this morning?
Avatar n tn If you know you had chicken pox as a child, you're immune. The problem comes in if you didn't have chicken pox as a child, OR if you got the vaccine which doesn't protect you for life. If you had chicken pox as a child, you're protected for life.
2008858 tn?1343844041 My nephew had it once and they gave us a cream to put on it. I dont remember what they said it was though.
Avatar m tn Hello, It can be due to allergic reaction, viral rash, heat rash or sweat dermatitis. Chicken pox produces an itchy, blistery, pustular rash that typically lasts about a week and is sometimes accompanied by a fever or other symptoms. Moreover you are vaccinated for it. Hence it does not sound like chicken pox. Avoid using any lotions and creams for the meantime. Use a mild cleanser with moisturizing properties like Cetaphil.
972881 tn?1247884374 Yeah, with my first I took a few tests, it was when I was 9 days late I got a positive. I even had a blood test befor that and it was negative. Maybe the rash is from the heat. Call ur doctor.

Avatar f tn Lol XD its just what i had heard (and was wrong) ive never had the chicken pox...
Avatar n tn I would say its probably chicken pox.. is that the only places where she has the blisters?
Avatar n tn From what I have been told (not sure how true it is) many times when a person gets chicken pox, they usually are sick for a little bit prior to getting chicken pox maybe a week or two prior. also the rash on the chest could be the early stages of it. google what a chicken pox rash is. (that is usually the first thing with chicken pox., a rash) I hope all goes well and she gets better soon.
Avatar m tn Your doctor may have been thinking the rash was caused by an allergy to a drug rather than chicken pox since you usually get that as a child. But you can get it as an adult. But they should be able to see the usual rash that chicken pox has. I guess they were surprised by an adult getting it and wanted to rule out drug allergy first.
3112100 tn?1379614659 Call your Dr ASAP if you've never had chicken pox. It's not good for baby. They can do blood work and see if you're immune or not!
Avatar f tn I think my baby has chickenpox but I'm having a hard time finding pictures online. Has anyone's child had chicken pox and you took pictures of the EARLIEST stage of them? She has tiny red spots all over her chest/tummy and her back. They don't appear to itch. I need to know ASAP because my husband has never had chickenpox (to his knowledge... his mother said he did but she doesn't always remember things clearly) and my toddler has never had them either.
2012762 tn?1332965493 (im not sure what shingles in the future has to do with chicken pox right now? ) as far a diagnosing chicken pox you should see a dr for that as there are many causes for rashes and being prego does raise concerns... you need to confirm that thay are infact chkn pox and if so you need to stay clear of those who have not had them, anyone with a comprimised immune system...
Avatar f tn Has your daughter ever had chicken pox? If so, this could possibly be shingles. While shingles typically affects older adults (the older you are, the higher chance of getting shingles gets), ANYONE who has had chicken pox, no matter how mild a case, can get shingles (shingles are caused by the same virus that causes chicken pox and once you've had chicken pox, teh virus remains in your body forever).
Avatar f tn My youngest daughter(7) has had the chicken pox vaccine. Is she more likely to get chicken pox from a person with shingles or chicken pox? I understand that she has had the vaccine, I just do not know if she has a better chance of getting chicken pox from a person with chicken pox or is she more likley to get it from a person with shingles, if she were to get it?
Avatar n tn As far as I am aware, dogs cannot contract chicken pox. This sounds much more like a food allergy rash to me. You will need to get your dog to a vet so they can prescribe an anti-inflamitory and an appropriate antibiotic. Can you list what you are feeding your dog? If it includes beef or chicken, I would stop feeding them, as they can be the root cause of allergies in some dogs.
Avatar f tn Hello there, I am 19 this year and i am on my 6th day of chicken pox. This outbreak is bad! Its everywhere on my face. A few blisters on my scalp burst already, but the others are not dried/burst yet. Instead, some of them are like hard on the outside and a lil smaller.. Does that mean they are drying up? The blister formed on the first day is on that condition. I got infection for a few blisters on my face even i did not scratch it.
Avatar m tn The big red dot is the chicken pox while the other red parts are the rash allegedly caused by a pill. When she was having staying at home she was complaining to me about both her eyes burn for some reason, behind her ears that has a wound that was possibly scratched because of her chicken pox, more chest spots also have appeared on feb 10,11 or 12. I can't remember. And yesterday feb 12 or 11, she drank 1 pill of gabentin and hours later broke out in a serious rash.
689528 tn?1364135841 You should be immune - only in extremely rare cases do people get chicken pox more than once. Since you've already had chicken pox twice, that ought to lower your chances even further. I'm sure you'll be fine. If you're that nervous about it, you can always talk to your doctor and see what he/she thinks.
