I experienced fatigue, nausea, loss of appetite, and very bad indigestion. Yesterday when symptoms started, I took zofran. I have emetophobia. I have since taken two more zofran and Pepto. No vomiting or diarrhea, but I did wake up with a bad headache. I haven’t eaten a lot lately. Does this mean I will be sick for a longer period of time? How will the virus shed?
I also recently developed muscle and joint pain, particularly in my knees, hips, and muscles of the legs which is quite severe. I have no solid stools at all - just water. I have no appetite. I also find that if I fast and drink nothing but water for a day or so, I still have gurgling and numerous watery bowel movements the next day. I also sometimes have severe epigastric pain, not relieved by antacids or PPIs.
1. Rheumatology workup was negative - sed rate, ANA, RF, etc.

I let it go and all had been well up to now. it's 3 months post her transfusion and I got a call from her yesterday (she's in college) stating she has really bad stomach ache (Nausea) then Diarrhea, Vomiting, and a mild fever.

Ondansetron is used for treating vomiting. Constipation, dizziness and headache are the most commonly reported side effects associated with its use. These symptoms will ware off once you have stopped using the medication. This is merely an advice and not a substitute for clinical examination. I hope it helps.

Yes, we all know that loss of appetite can mean sinister things but as you said you have no other symptoms, no fatigue etc. There are so many more things that statistically it's more likely to be and its very unlikely that it's anything sinister really. The more you worry yourself about it the worse it might get. Why not visit the doctor if only to put your mind at rest.
He says he feels fine and he has a regular appetite. The only other symptom he has if that he is hurting on his right lower side. He has had no fever. The doctor checked his blood and urine this morning and said it all looks fine. Of course they won't keep him at school when he is vomiting. What could possibly be wrong that needs to be checked that the Dr. is missing? This is beginning to concern me and he is really missing a lot of school.

3 weeks later, he vomits 1-2x/day for 5 days in a row with severely reduced appetite but no diarrhea and soft stools. After 5 days of vomiting, he had one day with no BM and no vomiting, then the next day frequent diarrhea. We again figured he had a virus and just bad luck. Took him back to the pediatrician after 6 days of diarrhea, but no more vomiting. We did a stool culture and sensitivity, check for rotavirus and c-diff. All negative.
I also have had a loss in appetite, increased gas, very painful bowel movements, and occasional cramps. A constant urge to urinate or bowel movement. Its all occurred over 4 to 5 days.
I am 6 wks. I have no appetite for anything. I have to make myself eat. And I'll feel nauseous. This isn't the norm for me before pregnancy. Is there something wrong?
