Avatar f tn Urinary tract (which consists of the kidneys, ureters, bladder, and the urethra) infections are very common in young women. Symptoms of UTI are frequent urination, burning sensation during urination, passing of blood in urine and even fever. The most common causes of repeated UTIs are kidney stones and diabetes mellitus. Women who are sexually active, who use diaphragms for birth control, and/or are past menopause are at an increased risk for urinary tract infections.
Avatar m tn I saw a question about frequent urination and stress. I wanted to add this comment. I was having severe frequent urination problems. I went to several doctors and even the Mayo Clinic. I was eventually diagnosed with "chronic prostatitis." Not wanting to give up because of the problems it was causing me, I looked at stress as the possible cause. I went to a psychologist for biofeedback training -- relaxation training -- and after 3 or 4 weeks my symptoms subsided.
Avatar n tn I am not sure if it is just me stressing out over nothing or if I may have something else wrong. I did not mention the frequent urination to my urologist as my symptoms had cleared up for over a week and I just assumed maybe it was stress enduced. Should I be concerned?
Avatar f tn If there are stressful situations affecting him, try to make sure he has some relaxation time, or quiet time to spend with his family. After about 3 to 5 months, the frequent urination symptoms dissapeared for my son. I hope this helps. Take care.
Avatar f tn Since doctors don't seem to want to help me figure out what's wrong, I'm trying to investigate my various symptoms to find potential diseases to rule out. For the past two and a half years, I've had a problem with frequent urination. No incontinence of any kind, but I tend to pee on average 12-20 times a day. Sometimes I'll be up one or two times at night, sometimes more and sometimes not at all. I DO drink quite a bit of fluid.

Avatar f tn frequent urination in women can be from many things , cystitsis, or a uti,do you have pain, or burning during urination? any foul smell or cloudiness of the urine? have you seen any blood from uretha? Its possible that the anibiotics just didnt work for you, you may need a different kind or duration longer than 3 days.
Avatar m tn Trich occurs in both women and men, but symptoms are more common in women. I'm not really sure how common trich is, but I think that your worries are mostly stemming from stress and guilt as opposed to concrete physical symptoms. Frequent urination can be due to stress and the vague "pain" that you describe is really not consistent with any STD. If your partner is negative for trich, accept the results and move on. Even if you had trich, the Metronidazole will clear it up.
721523 tn?1331581802 I have frequent problems with urination. Difficulty in getting the muscles to relax, urgency (when it's time to go, I gotta go - or I'm going to have an accident.) And today I coughed and wet my pants! I think that's known as stress incontinence - but I haven't had any kids, so I'm blaming it on muscle weakness. Some of my symptoms have stuck around, some have gone away... so it's really just a case of wait and see.
Avatar f tn Some women get frequent urination and some don't early in pregnancy. :>) You are fine. The frequent urination is caused in later pregnancy due to the weight of the baby pushing on the bladder. I'm sure you'll have this at some point. Ugh, we all do.
18524847 tn?1465595901 So, thoughts on this involve the different phases of pregnancy. More frequent urination takes place in EARLY pregnancy because of a couple of reasons. First, the hormones of pregnancy themselves namely HCG. But second, you are pumping more blood to the abdominal area and this affects the kidneys which will have more urine output. For many women it is the very first sign of pregnancy (as it is often really subtle, early pregnancy symptoms).
Avatar f tn I'm more than a week late I have all the symptoms sore breasts, fatigue, frequent urination and nausea, but test still shows negative I don't know why but will try to retake in a week

Avatar f tn Passing a kidney stone is a mother bear. It is very normal to have frequent urination after passing a kidney stone. But this has been awhile now.
Avatar f tn thank you! :) yeah i guess you could say that!
Avatar m tn Frequent urination doesn't suggest STD of any kind. It is often a symptom of stress or anxiety, especially when the source of anxiety is concern about genital health. So I doubt you caught an STD, and I doubt anything is wrong except for anxiety. But if your symptoms persist, see your health care provider or your local STD clinic for examination and reassurance. You can expect that nothing abnormal will be found.
Avatar f tn About 3 days later I started noticing a increase in my need to urinate (because of this I started drinking more water, to be sure not to get dehydrated, which of course lead to more frequent urination ) I also started feeling a slight pain towards the tip of my penis... Not during urination but just throughout the day, I never noticed any discharge, swelling, or abdominal pain... And the frequency at which I urinate has gone back to more of a regular amount..
Avatar f tn I didn't really experience frequent urination during my first trimester...but am having it in my second trimester..am 15 weeks 5 days..anyone else with the same issue.could this be normal?
