Avatar n tn my husband is having uncontrolled urination, wetting the bed because he can't get the urinal there fast enough. he had a stroke in 08 and is confined to a bed. he recently had a stay in the hospital where a foley catheter was used. he's had catherters before, so I don't know if there was damage done when it was taken out. he does NOT want to think of adult diapers as he is only 46 years old. please advise.

Avatar m tn Hi Community, I'm a 33 year old male and as of 4 months ago my bladder started acting up. It became very hard to hold in urine, barely making it to the toilet most times and actually wetting myself on the way (this was never an issue). I also now wet the bed on occasion and am up many times in the night like clockwork to go to the bathrrom. My doctor simply said stop drinking so late. I don'tdrink a large amount before bed, maybe a glass of water, though not right before I sleep.
Avatar f tn ) i heard it eases a little in the 2nd trimester!
Avatar f tn Urinary tract (which consists of the kidneys, ureters, bladder, and the urethra) infections are very common in young women. Symptoms of UTI are frequent urination, burning sensation during urination, passing of blood in urine and even fever. The most common causes of repeated UTIs are kidney stones and diabetes mellitus. Women who are sexually active, who use diaphragms for birth control, and/or are past menopause are at an increased risk for urinary tract infections.
Avatar n tn I am not sure if it is just me stressing out over nothing or if I may have something else wrong. I did not mention the frequent urination to my urologist as my symptoms had cleared up for over a week and I just assumed maybe it was stress enduced. Should I be concerned?

Avatar f tn Since doctors don't seem to want to help me figure out what's wrong, I'm trying to investigate my various symptoms to find potential diseases to rule out. For the past two and a half years, I've had a problem with frequent urination. No incontinence of any kind, but I tend to pee on average 12-20 times a day. Sometimes I'll be up one or two times at night, sometimes more and sometimes not at all. I DO drink quite a bit of fluid.
Avatar n tn got checked for UTIs and nothing, blood test came back slightly abnormal kidneys and i had high level of creatinine which i think is due to my on/off high protein diet over the past few years, anyway i feel they completely sent me down the wrong path of seeing a kidney specialist, had the ultrasound which was fine and basically told me to cut down on protein and water intake (load of rubbish in my eyes this was lol) anyway so on november 19th tested positive for chlamydia, had 1g of azithro 4 t
Avatar n tn After the surgery my doctor told me that my uterus was stuck to my bladder. Since then I have been having frequent urination. Sometimes 15 times a day and atleast 4 to 5 times a night. What can I do?
Avatar f tn Some women get frequent urination and some don't early in pregnancy. :>) You are fine. The frequent urination is caused in later pregnancy due to the weight of the baby pushing on the bladder. I'm sure you'll have this at some point. Ugh, we all do.
18524847 tn?1465595901 So, thoughts on this involve the different phases of pregnancy. More frequent urination takes place in EARLY pregnancy because of a couple of reasons. First, the hormones of pregnancy themselves namely HCG. But second, you are pumping more blood to the abdominal area and this affects the kidneys which will have more urine output. For many women it is the very first sign of pregnancy (as it is often really subtle, early pregnancy symptoms).
139792 tn?1498585650 The doctor ususally say that at 80, with insomnia, you do more frequent urination. Sombody suggested, at every 10 years after 60, you do add one extra visit two bath room. Any way we have to fight whether it is age related or some alignment related. I have also observed when i am tense, I have more frequent visit to bathroom. As it was not a major problem, i did not bother to rectify. I continue to treat now. Thanks.
Avatar m tn urinary tract infection, interstitial cystitis, intake of diuretics and other medications, radiation therapy or bladder dysfunction. It would really help if you consult with the urologist for further evaluation and management. Take care and keep us posted.
