The doctor still prescribed me antibiotic (Enoxabid) for UTI but it did not improve my condition. Now i continue experiencing frequent urination. Every 1.5 to 2 hours, i feel the urge to urinate and since the last 2-3 days i am also experiencing slight burning in the vagina.

Avatar f tn Since doctors don't seem to want to help me figure out what's wrong, I'm trying to investigate my various symptoms to find potential diseases to rule out. For the past two and a half years, I've had a problem with frequent urination. No incontinence of any kind, but I tend to pee on average 12-20 times a day. Sometimes I'll be up one or two times at night, sometimes more and sometimes not at all. I DO drink quite a bit of fluid.
Avatar f tn I have been experiencing frequent urination for the past 2 months. I do not experience any other symptoms. I do not have any burning or pain. I just feel the urge to urinate every 1-2 hours. The color of my urine is also normal. There has been no change in the amount of fluids i consume. My thyroid is normal and i am not diabetic. Also, my urinalysis and urine culture have come out normal. What could be causing this?
Avatar n tn Hello, Without examination confirmation of a diagnosis is tough but urge of frequent urination can be due to increased intake of fluids or diabetes mellitus.Other possibilities are glomerulonephritis, pyelonephritis(inflammation of the kidneys),urinary tract infection, hypercalcemia, hypokalemia(low potassium),hyperthyroidism, hyperparathyroidism, diuretic drugs and benign hyperplasia of the prostate(in elderly males).

Avatar m tn I would suggest you rule out low thyroid function first, as in low thyroid conditions, any organ, any bodily system can be affected and functioning at sub-optimum levels. Note: Re:Thyroid testing Thyroid Serum testing is flawed, as it is not necessarily indicative of cellular thyroid function ! Most conventional doctors order TSH,T3 and T4 at best. You need to ask and insist for Free T3, FreeT4 and Reverse T3 to determine accurately your thyroid function. You can also do on your own Dr.
Avatar f tn t know if you take thyroid replacement but if so get a panel done now. Frequent urination was my first signal and ended up toxic and nearly did not survive. To all, do not assume thyroid is safe as one can get ill between levels.
Avatar f tn Hi, Your symptoms may be suggestive of chronic ill health in the form of chronic fatigue syndrome, anaemia, deficiency of vitamins etc. Also for the pain in abdomen and frequent urination you should check out with a gynaecologist for an examination. If necessary and ultrasound scan may be done. Discuss with your Doctor. Hope this helps.

Avatar f tn last november i had a check up with a blood panel done and a gynecologic exam and all was normal. about 3 or 4 times per year i get frequent urination but with absolutely no burning or pain. i will just have a constant need to urinate and sometimes a little comes out and sometimes a lot. anyhow, it always subsides on it's own. about a week ago i developed a swollen gland behind my ear and about a day later the frequent urination started.
Avatar f tn About 3 days later I started noticing a increase in my need to urinate (because of this I started drinking more water, to be sure not to get dehydrated, which of course lead to more frequent urination ) I also started feeling a slight pain towards the tip of my penis... Not during urination but just throughout the day, I never noticed any discharge, swelling, or abdominal pain... And the frequency at which I urinate has gone back to more of a regular amount..

Have no idea why but that seems to come straight back out. talk to your doctor if you are having this symptom.
