Avatar m tn There can be associated urethritis (inflammation of the urethra). In rare circumstances, the infection reaches the epididymis via the bloodstream. In sexually active men, Chlamydia trachomatis is responsible for two-thirds of cases, followed by Neisseria gonorrhoeae and E. coli (or other bacteria that cause urinary tract infection). Particularly among men over age 35 in whom the cause is E. coli, epididymitis is commonly due to urinary tract obstruction.
139792 tn?1498585650 Since you are faking sleep using the drug, which is a Central Nervous System suppressor, at least in your case, I would think that the drug alprozolam may be preventing brain from producing ADH, which in turn causes the frequent urination. I could not get any supporting document from the net, but it does say that it can cause inappropriate ADH production, which could mean either MORE or LESS of ADH production.

Not every day, seems like every 2nd day but can be 2-3 days in a row then ok for 2 days, etc. I have been waking up with this heavy pain at 2-3 am or 4-5 am, i go to the bathroom and within 2 hours pain is gone. Avatar f tn And the discoloration stopped a day or two in... After comepleting the antibiotics I still had the uncomfortable sensation in my penis...I couldn't decided it it was just anxiety or something not cured with amoxicillin ( I know it's not the most effective against STIs) so 5 days after completing I went and got tested urine and blood samples were taken... Chlamydia, gonorrhea, syphilis , herpes , HIV, and Hepatitis.... And everything came back negative...
Avatar f tn I am a 40 year old woman with the problem of frequent urination. I do not have diabetes or UTI and my ultrasound scan is normal. I underwent a D&C procedure in December of 2007. My urologist thinks that I should see a psychiatrist. I have a bulky uterus. I was 200 lbs three years ago, now I am 125 lbs, (through diet and excercise). My gynec told me that I have over-exercised,(walking 14 km a day). I feel constant irritation and pressure in my bladder.

Avatar f tn My 18 year old son is having similiar problems. Started 3 months ago. Worse during the day (when sitting). His urinalysis (4 of them) comes back clear with no infection. He's had an ultra-sound that also came back fine. He's gone to two urologist (we didn't like the first one) and both called it Dysuria Frequent Urgency. The second doctor put him on an anti-biotic (sulfameth) just in case there was a slight infection not showing up in test.
Avatar f tn It's normal in the first trimester because of the increased hormone labels and blood flow, it'll taper off in the second trimester and pick up again in the third when baby gets big.
Avatar f tn I had the worst excessive urination from low potassium. I lived in the toilet and was getting splits on my skin down there from constantly using toilet paper. I was using Savlon cream to relieve the pain. The relief of orange juice! High in potassium. Went from excessive urination to normal OVERNIGHT! Low potassium causes dry skin too btw.
Avatar f tn Since the last 5 days, i have been experiencing frequent urination. After i pass urine, i feel the urge to pass urine again after half hour or hour. Initially, there was slight burning when passing urine but not anymore. I got urine test done but it shows no infection. One month ago, i got digestive problems and acidity and doctor gave me Zantac for that and i was fine within a week. Now ocassionally, i experience acidity and burning in stomach so i avoid fried foods.
Avatar f tn Sometimes the urine amount looks normal but most of the time its dribbling. I frequent twice in half an hour when it dribbles. There is no blood in the urine. Most of the time it is accompanied by pain and the sensation is there even after urinating. I did not have this problem ever, I drink 8 glasses of water every day. It started about 3 months ago, then stopped for a good 2 months and now I notice the problem again.
Avatar m tn Since morning I am feeling OK , but there is little pressure in the groin area. Having some discomfort (not pain) around the rectum also.
Avatar n tn A cystoscopy can always be done to look for any local causes for the same. An infection in the prostate could be a culprit in the same. Hence, a rectal examination can also help in picking up the chronic prostatitis which can give rise to the symptoms which you’ve mentioned. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care.
1380526 tn?1292839385 Another thing I have noticed lately is that I have to urinate much more than I ever did! I could go all night without having to get up...I could play 18 holes of golf, and while everyone was hitting the bathrooms on the course...I was "cool, calm and collected". Now, I'm up 3-4 times a night...and gong twice as much during the day than I ever did before. I have read articles that this can be related to the Chiari....Nothing else has changed...
Avatar m tn urinary tract infection, interstitial cystitis, intake of diuretics and other medications, radiation therapy or bladder dysfunction. It would really help if you consult with the urologist for further evaluation and management. Take care and keep us posted.
Avatar n tn ) however i feel i am diagnosing myself lol i think i know what is giving me the issues now ive recently been through a bout of chlamydia/NSU which i have been retested for and gone but after being on another healthboard i seen a post where a person had the exact same symptoms as me, irritation in the urethra, frequent urination and they had every test done possible in 1 year and still no answer, basically having UTI symptoms but never is a UTI infection found, it turned out she tested positiv
Avatar m tn The one STD which might be associated with urinary frequency is non-gonococcal urethritis, which is diagnosed by demonstration of increased numbers of white blood cells in a urine specimen collected at the beginning of urination or in a urethral swab from the penis. In both cases you should not have urinated for at least an hour before your specimen is collected. You could have this done at your local STD clinic for little if any cost.
Avatar f tn I've had frequent urination from the middle of my first trimester and it has actually gotten worse. I would ensure you drink lots of fluids because I also just had a UTI which can be a pain in the butt.
721523 tn?1331581802 The tspine showed a possible lesion, so the urologist sent me to the neurologist, who has now diagnosed the MS. The urination issue, by the way, is the only symptom I have associated with MS. What I'm getting at, is the neurologist has referred me to a pain specialist who implants neurostimulators for bladder retention and frequency. She says her MS patients that have gotten this neurostimulator claim a world of difference.
Avatar f tn In addition to the frequent urination, I have a great deal of cognitive issues (memory loss / retention problems, concentration problems, shortened attention span, sometimes can't speak properly), depression and anxiety, eye issues (wicked light sensitive, blurry vision, hurts to look up or to the sides), stiff and painful joints and muscles, muscle weakness, occasional tingling in hands or feet, INCREDIBLY fatigued, dizziness and lightheadedness, vertigo, occasional balance issues, and tre
393893 tn?1283551230 My husband recently started urinating very very frequently. I don't think he has a bladder infection because there is no pain involved and when he feels like he has to go a significant or normal amount comes out. I know with bladder infections there is pain and alot of the time when you feel like you have to go and try, either nothing comes out or only a few drops. I've posted this in the Men's Health forum as well so sorry if you've already read this.
Avatar n tn Problem is hit or miss sometimes the same as my c5-c6 disk protrusion symptoms. My neurologist said the Urination problem can not be related to the disk problem. Is this true or may I have also damaged a nother part of my neck that may cause to this. Note I never had this problem until after my accident. I also got diagnosed with Occipittal Neuralgia from the hard hit and whiplash when I got up from the floor and struck a metal object broadside in back of my neck.
Avatar f tn Cranberry juice may help untill u get into the Dr. If the pain is increasing and severe seeif u could get in sooner or go to the ER.
