I'm trying to drink coffee again. I alway grind beans fresh and use a french press. It's just so much to do and get fat grams and get to work. I do drink a couple of cups at work. Thanks for the reminder..

Swampy I will not make you happy here, lol..... I like my coffee with craploads of sugar and a healthy dose of flavored creamer....Particular favorites include Cinnamon Vanilla, Vanilla Chai, or right now, Pumpkin Spic. I also can't stand a strong coffee, but I agree with you, that weak coffee also *****....there is a happy medium...I actually DO like to taste the coffee, and if it's made properly, I CAN, even with all my $hit dumped into it.

Please, can someone allay some concerns? I completely understand this as this is my exact battle. Going from 32 ounces a day or more to one or two small cups a day, MAN!. I'm usually up in the middle if the night and get up by 6am so its hard to limit my intake. I still try. The thing I've noticed is don't drink coffee on top of caffeinated or carbonated drinks because it will cause dehydration and cramps, TRUST ME. Increase water intake with caffeine.

It sounds like you're having digestion problems. The most problematic of the foods you mention generally are first, the milk, second, the sugar, and third the coffee. But it's hard to say since diet is very complicated, and you don't say how soon after eating you laid down. Chamomile is a good stomach relaxant and anti-inflammatory, perhaps try some of that instead of the coffee, milk, and sugar and see how you do, assuming you don't need the coffee to stay awake.

Yes! I loved my coffee with French vanilla creamer, but gave that up. And since its getting chilly here in Wisconsin I wanted a warm drink. My doctor said it's perfectly fine drink hot cocoa. Swiss miss being my favorite..
