Avatar f tn Living with an alcoholic or being in a relationship with one can be very tough. At this point in his life he probably feels like he's too old to change his habits. This is a difficult situation. In order to confront him about him and hope to get any forward momentum on this you need to get the family involved. Everyone needs to voice their concern and their emotions and show/demonstrate how his drinking is hurting them. Only then might he understand the true severity of his disease.

Avatar m tn In prior studies, coffee consumption has been linked to a wide range of health benefits including reduced risk of type 2 diabetes, metabolic syndrome and several types of cancer, the researchers noted as background. Avatar f tn It sounds like you're having digestion problems. The most problematic of the foods you mention generally are first, the milk, second, the sugar, and third the coffee. But it's hard to say since diet is very complicated, and you don't say how soon after eating you laid down. Chamomile is a good stomach relaxant and anti-inflammatory, perhaps try some of that instead of the coffee, milk, and sugar and see how you do, assuming you don't need the coffee to stay awake.
Avatar f tn The newest study just published yesterday suggests that coffee not only benefits your likelyhood of beating this virus, it also decreases the risk of liver cancer and fibrosis. Avatar f tn There are a lot of mixed medical opinions out there regarding this so you should do what you feel comfortable with both physically and emotionally...caffeine is tough to kick so if you decide to cut it out of your diet do it slowly by switching to a mix of decaf and regular...I personally gave it up while I was prego but I had a miscarriage at 11 weeks...however I quickly went back to my old habit and it is a b**** to kick it again!
