foot

Avatar n tn t understand why the neuro would suspect anything else because the butt/leg/foot neuropathy are all symptoms of the L4/L5 herniation. Do you have the numbness/tingling/burning/shooting pain?...those are all symptoms. Do you have other pains going on?
Avatar f tn It is also not on the bottom of my heel(or the sole of the foot) but on the outer back part. What else could it possibly be?
Avatar f tn Over the past few weeks I've been experiencing a lot of pain in my left heel. I have back issues due to which I've had to spend a lot of time on my feet and that's probably triggered something. Are there special shoes I can wear to prevent further foot fatigue or use special inserts to make it better? Thanks for your help!
Avatar n tn The pain is on the bottom of my foot at the heel just near the arch in the daytime and at night at the back of the heel when I am laying on my back. I bought some walking shoes for plantars fasciitis and they have running shoes at orthofeet.com. You need to stretch your achilles tendon basically too. It could potentially be a heel spur but they have to Xray it to confirm that. hope this helps. Also, putting gel heels from Dr. scholes (spelling?
Avatar f tn However the pain increased and now it is everytime I step with my heel the pressure on my heel cause pain and also an acute pain on the right side of my upper ankle. It is literally just localized to that one are and it is not my whole ankle or foot. When I walk on just the upper part of my foot there is no pain as well as sitting and twisting my foot around there is no pain. As I stay off of it it does not get worse and it actually felt a little better this Thursday morning.
Avatar f tn I wonder if any one can help. I got out of my car and went over on the side of my foot and since then i have not been able to put my heel down on the ground, if i do a get a sharp pain all the way up my leg. I have had problems before when i was younger, i have too many bones / movement in my foot so that doesn t help plus used to be a dancer and week acheiles tendon excuse the spelling Can anyone advise me on what to do? Another problem is i am on my feet most of the day with my job.
Avatar f tn For the past week or 2, IV been getting really painful shooting pain in my lower back (left side mostly). It happens only when I'm walking barefoot and I step with my left foot. It's not constant, it's just like IV stepped on a certain area (heel) of the foot that then sends the pain up to my lower left side. Is this something I should worry about or is it normal?
459853 tn?1283140514 When I flex my food you can see the ligament protruding from my foot. It runs from the ball of the foot all the way to my heel. I have found several exercises that seem to be helping but they are really painful! Just walking is painful.....
Avatar f tn Now, it could just be bruised badly, and ice may help with any swelling and ibuprofen for pain and swelling. But if the pain does not get better within a couple of days, I would get to your doctor and especially if you have any swelling around your ankles or on the foot. Good luck!
Avatar f tn I have an intense pain on the ball of one foot. It also happened about 6 years ago and I went to a podiatrist who recommended an orthodic insert and I also did stretches for the achilles tendon. It helped. The pain is back and none of the two remedies are helping now. What should I do? It hurts all the time. I do quite a bit of walking at my job.
973741 tn?1342342773 So, work out friends, I have a problem. One heel has a lot of pain. It's been ongoing since early July. I had gone to my son's boy scout camp and wore tennis shoes. I think I walked about 10 miles through gravel, wood trails, up and down hills and steps. My little piggies were swollen and tired after that! But worse, my left heel hurt like crazy. And . . .it still hurts. I've had plantar faciaitis before.
Avatar f tn The past month I've been experiencing minor to extreme heel pain in my feet. I was wondering if anyone has a good shoe insert they use for their heels? Preferably one that can be reused in different shoes. I've tried a few different brands, but no luck. My doc @ my last appt said it's because you walk differently when you're pregnant, but that seems like an easy/lazy answer to me lol! I'm only 19 weeks, I can't imagine what it'll be like when I'm further along!
Avatar f tn There could be some important causes like Plantar fasciitis which is inflammation of the thick connective tissue on the sole of your foot that attaches to your heel. The pain is usually felt at the bottom of your heel and is often worse in the morning because of stiffness that occurs overnight. Bone spurs can also accompany plantar fasciitis or it can be Heel bursitis (inflammation of the back of the heel) as a result of landing hard or awkwardly on the heel, or by pressure from shoes.
Avatar n tn I have plantar fasciitis and it came on all of a sudden in pretty much the same area you described, left side of heel of right foot. It is now on my left heel, in right side of heel. Have you been on your feet more recently? Increased your exercise? Mine came on after increasing exercise. Currently, I am stretching it at least once per day, doing some strengthening exercises 2-3 times per week. I also apply ice 1 time per day for about 15 minutes when I need to.
Avatar n tn After sitting or lying down, even driving a car for a period of time, my feel get extremely painful, especially in the area between the ball of the foot and the heel. the heel never gets sore. It takes up to 2 hours of walking about before the pain subsides, but it returns as soon as I sit again. The pain almist feels as if someone has taken a knife and shredded the bottom of my feet. It is the same in both feet.
454422 tn?1211415825 Hello all, I have had a painful heel spur on right foot for several months, tried heel cups, inserts, new shoes, napoxsyn, stretching and all have failed. I had several injections today and my heel was numb for several hours after, I am now having the most difficult time walking and the pain is more severe than it has been. I had this problem on left foot several years ago and ended up having fasciotomy (sp?) and have been pain free since. Any advice or suggestions on this newest heel spur.
1558461 tn?1295392601 Can cronic Arthritis in a big toe, cause the metatarsal and heel pain to worsen?
Avatar f tn It stayed that way about three months and then progressed to having numbness, variable pain (tingling, burning, cold, heel pain, pain on the top, pain on the bottom). The pain issue seems to move occasionally, but ankle pain is constant. The tingling and numbness has moved up the back of my calves though I am not having that symptom at this time. For about two days the symptoms decreased, but now it is back and is more painful tonight.
Avatar n tn I finally decided to see podiatrist due to inability to walk without limping and pain that occurred with every step and it got to the point of shooting pain up my heel and leg even at rest. (I am unable to wear shoes that have a back without pain and it hurts to walk barefooted) I am also unable to stand on my tip toes on affected foot. I had an x-ray that showed a large posterior heel spur with bursitis.
Avatar n tn also along the botton of the arche, I had a scan done in march which lited up all over my foot. Pain does also raideate up my leg, as far as past the knee. Im so tired of pain... specially when Im on it its worse. Went shopping for 2 hrs and pain is debilitating. haven't worked but maybe 2 weeks since sugery....no one is helping, what can this be?
Avatar f tn A sharp pain on the outside of the foot just below the ankle bone, on either the left side of the left foot or the right side of the right foot. I notice that one person in this thread talked about pain on the inside of their foot, but this topic does NOT address that area of the foot. Please keep this discussion to the correct area of the foot. I too have had this pain. It started about 6 months ago while I was sitting in a meeting.
Avatar n tn There is slight bruising on the outside / right side of my right foot. No bruising on the back of the heel, the bottom, or the left. There was very little bruising around the ankle, but there is none now. The only bruising is slight and is a quarter inch down from the ankle. The bruising has lessened as well already. However, it still hurts a lot to put my full weight on it. It doesn't hurt much when I walk gingerly on it.
