Avatar f tn I was sent to a second endocrinologist that told me my issue is because of Flonase, I gained weight and that my pituitary tumor is only 3 mm and that it’s small and they would bet me it would go away in a year. I explained to the Dr that I only use Flonase during allergy season and we were still 3 -4 weeks away from that. She also refused to listen to me when I told her all my issues happened when I was working out, losing body fat and gaining muscle overall dropping 25-30 pounds.

Avatar m tn I notice that the ingredient that in Flonase is the same (fluticasone propionate) as is found in Flovent.. It occurs to me that flonase might even work better because more of the stream of fluticasone propionate would hit the back of my throat and be swallowed, getting more to my esophagus and less to my mouth. The key point though is I can get flonase inexpensively, whereas the flovent is more than I can easily afford.
867954 tn?1356900863 When it happens in the right, it usually goes on for 24 hours at a time, obviously annoying enough to cause me some loss of sleep, aggravation, etc. Doctor says fluid behind ear after checking me out and looking into my ears, so I'm on flonase and Allegra-D. Today I'm sitting here, still on the stuff, and it's happening again in the right ear. Last few times I noticed it, it was when I had alcohol I thought, but doctor said probably coincidence.
3240655 tn?1346723677 A recent CT scan revealed two normal sized cysts in my upper left sinuses. But I only was recommended Flonase. The ENT persuaded me from surgery to remove the cyst, because he didn't think it would help, in his experience. He also believed, my problems may be because of allergies. He would go for the surgery if I wanted though. I'm trying the Flonase for the last 3 months with no change in sweet rotten smell from sinus.
Avatar f tn Flonase and zertec side effects in children.been taking both sense he was 7 and has stopped growing in height but is gaining weight and is having problems breathing.he is 11 now.
Avatar m tn //www.rxlist.com/flonase-side-effects-drug-center.htm - which is probably why your doctor said to stop using it. If your cough got better using it, maybe it was helping some allergy symptoms, like post-nasal drip. Did you ask your doctor what he meant, or try to clarify anything? Always feel free to ask questions and clarify anything you don't understand with your doctor.
464237 tn?1315670793 t want the infection to get even worse. How is it ok to use flonase for bacterial infection? Have any of you used flonase for infection. My infection is not allergy related, it came from a cold that was going around. Thanks so much for reading. and yes I have been using nasal irrigation along with all of the other home remedies I have found on the internet.
Avatar m tn The tinnitus ranges between the sound of a dog whistle, tea pot or the high pitched frequency an old tv or computer monitor produces. I do not have a sensor neural hearing loss based on the hearing test I had done at the ENT office. In fact it turned out very good. A CT scan and MRI don't warrant any major problems such as tumors. What do I do now? I've posted all of the results of the CT scan, MRI and hearing test so please visit my profile to see these.
1939607 tn?1324289300 Throat pain, difficulty swallowing, fever, scratchiness in the throat, post nasal drip, malaise and loss of appetite are symptoms of tonsillitis. Recurrent tonsillitis is an indication for tonsillectomy, as the tonsils may harbor the infection which keeps flaring up, or they may develop new infections. Please discuss this with your doctor am sure he will provide further assistance. Hope this helped and do keep us posted.
Avatar n tn //www.rxlist.com/flonase-drug.htm. Is this prescribed to decreases swelling or to attend to the sinus issue contributing to the swelling?
Avatar f tn This is correlated with clinical symptoms, like cough, evening rise of temperature, weight loss and blood tests, which will show a raised ESR and increased lymphocyte count, if it is an active infection. So, if his symptoms are not improving with the medications given, then you can think of ruling out tuberculosis. Hope this helped and do keep us posted.
Avatar n tn Twice in the last six months using Flonase my mouth filled with blood from sinuses. Is another medication for sinusitis available?
Avatar m tn I've had an upper respiratory infection for about a week. Went to the doctor this morning with severe ear pain, no infection, just inflammation due to the other infection. Was recommended Flonase, rest, and fluids. After I came home and took the Flonase I've had this really weird fizzing sensation off and on at the back of my throat all day. It feels like a handful of poprocks are at the top of my throat/back of my mouth. It's a really weird suggestion.
Avatar f tn I'm also taking Fluticasone Propionate and have the very same issue. I think it's because the nasal spray dries out the nasal cavity. At first, I started having bloody noses, but then that stopped and this current symptom started. My doctor had said it may make the nose very dry and to try saline solution once daily after the Flonase. I have yet to do that, but it's supposed to help. Hope that helps.
Avatar n tn s unfortunate when medication costs so much sometimes that we have to find an alternative. Flonase and Astepro are likely the right names. Flonase is a corticosteroid spray and Astepro is an antihistamine spray. Dymista is a combination medication so it makes sense that the doctor is suggesting the two medications will work as the Dymista did. Let us know how it goes.
Avatar f tn The folliculitis is limited to the scalp only. I am real curious about the Flonase use ,but also read of a connection toi high tryglycerides, which I do have a problem with. No test have been done, saw family physician, she only suggested a dandruff shampoo. I have been using T- Gel and Demerex.
Avatar f tn t take really any allergy meds due to issues with tachycardia and palpitations. My doctor suggested Flonase, but I am allergic to sulfur (used a sulfur mask once and my whole face swelled huge, used to have to brush me teeth with sulfur water and my entire mouth would get blisters) and I noticed that Flonase contains sulfur in its makeup. Can I use it?
Avatar f tn I take zyrtec, singulair, flonase and astepro for the allergies and sinus. My ENT is stumped. How can I get my taste and smell back?
Avatar f tn He takes the adult dosage of Zyrtec daily and uses Flonase to keep some of the allergies under control. Because of all of these allergies, I assumed the tongue issue would also be allergy related (the allergy specialist disagrees though). We have also tried Benadryl to no avail. He hasn't had a decent night's sleep in weeks. There are days that he refuses to eat because of the itch and subsequent pain from the sores. He's missed several days of school because of this.
Avatar m tn I've been taking Metformin for type II Diab for six months. I have been on HCG for weight loss for 2 weeks. When I started HCG, I stopped taking Metformin because my glucose measurement was in great shape (90-110). However, now its a bit more erratic, dipping below 80. Is there a lag between stopping Metf. and the downside of that, just like my Gen Pract family doc told me some time back that Metf takes 30 days of taking before it is fully effective?
