Avatar f tn Zumba works your whole body, helping tone every muscle group, particularly your back and abdominals. The dance moves may also improve your posture, balance and flexibility. If you feel inhibited exercising with others, Zumba's party-like amosphere may help you loosen up and gain confidence.
Avatar m tn Flexibility can come thru training as in gymnastics or dance...but those that r just a little better may also have EDS.....so, u have to get the testing....
Avatar n tn I just got into weight training but I dint know how to eat right. Can someone please guide me and show me a plan for teens or something.HELP.
Avatar n tn The bigger the issue you make out of him NOT using the potty, the more some children tend to rebel against it. Try some positive reinforcements (not candy!).... I know it may sound rather silly, but when I toilet trained my children I made up a rather silly "pee pee dance" and showed them my extreme happiness and praise when they 'went'..... If your son goes on the potty once and has 6 accidents, only praise the one time he got it right....
Avatar n tn Keep him in diapers or pullups for a while and let the pressure ease on the potty training issue. 3 is a little young for a boy.

Avatar n tn Also have you tried prenatal yoga? It's great for your flexibility and prepares you for labor.
Avatar f tn Use the workouts that make use of flexibility and stretching, strength training and aerobics for the best results. Fitting in regular sessions of weightlifting, calisthenics or other strength activities can help increase muscle mass and keep the body toned and strong. Aerobics will help with burning calories, endurance and weight management, and stretching helps prevent injuries and prepare the body for more intense movements.
Avatar f tn Danced based cardio makes you work all your major muscles groups at the same time. You also need to start doing resistance training. Resistance training will help you gain muscles which in turn will increase your metabolic rate which will cause you to lose fat. Now you don't have to lift weights. Alot of people think that resistance training = using dumbells but it doesn't. Resistance training is any exercise in which your mucles have to work against an opposing force (i.
Avatar f tn What do you do for exercise? I get so bored doing my workout videos and dance videos and strength training in my living room and it's over 90 degrees out lately so I'm too uncomfortable for walks. Before pregnancy I did turbo fire which was great but I'm so out of shape now I'd die of I tried it. So what do you suggest to get moving?
2058276 tn?1330654231 When I started we would sing the potty dance song together and sit on the potty, i would sit on the normal one and she will sit in her training one, and if she pees we would scream Yay! and dance. once I got her to the point of wanting to use the potty I let her go over her father's house for like a week and she came back afraid of the potty. I mean any kind, even the singing one made her run, I tried for weeks but i just couldn't do it so I stopped.
Avatar m tn s getting to the point that I literally cannot miss a single training session. If I do the pain starts coming. It then only starts to go away after two or three training sessions. More info about the pain: It hurts when I look down, and it restricts my flexibility (it hurts to much to touch my toes). When it hurts I constantly move around because it relieves the pain (kind of like when you have to urinate) The pain feels almost like the growth pains that I use to get in my legs as a child.
Avatar m tn You can take dance lessons at a local dance studio. this doesn't have to be in a class that involves others; it can be private. You don't have to go to clubs for that. The salsa can be entertaining at first, then could be a very sexy addition to your relationship.
Avatar f tn Finally, using good shoes (ideally compensating for individual foot differences) is important. The shin can be trained for greater static and dynamic flexibility through adaptation, which will diminish the contracting reflex, and allow the muscles to handle the rapid stretch. The key to this is to stretch the shins regularly. However, static stretching might not be enough. To adapt a muscle to rapid, eccentric contraction, it has to acquire greater dynamic flexibility as well.
Avatar f tn (I am 29 and exercise routinely with HIIT and strength training.). I have never had hip pain before, but I have had aches like this that have improved with rest and gradual return to my exercise routine. I exercised fine for about two weeks with that dull, intermittent pain in my hip. But for about a month now, my hip pain has become very severe. I have been unable to exercise or do much stretching at all. I even bought a cane to help me hobble around!
Avatar n tn They consist of stretching and holding different joint and muscle groups for 10 to 30 seconds each. Stretching improves flexibility, and daily stretching is the basis for any exercise program. Strength exercises involve working the muscle against resistance. This can be either with or without weights. Resistance training strengthens the muscle and increases the amount of activity you can do pain-free. Conditioning exercise, also called aerobic exercise, improves cardiovascular fitness.

Avatar n tn My daughter is twelve years old and she is extremely flexible. She wants to go into contortionist training, so I called one school in Newton, Massachusetts. I was told my daughter had to be thirteen, because extreme back bending would damage her back little by little. I told her that she already was doing a chest stand and they told me that she shouldn't be doing any bending forward or backward until her spine is fully developed at the age of thirteen. I would like to know if this is true ?
Avatar f tn Hi there. sometimes a child with a developmental delay such as add/adhd will have a harder time potty training. It is important to look for 'potty training readiness' in my opinion. That means that they have language to use for it (they tell you that they have to pee, that kind of thing), understand what a toilet is, have an interest in staying dry, etc. Is your son at this point yet?
Avatar f tn I am still keeping up with work and my Salsa dancing. I love to dance and I always feel good after my training sessions, I feel it gives me so much energy. However, this week my midwife advised that I should put dance on hold, cause I shouldn't take the risk of pre-term labor. I really don't feel like stopping just yet, and from what I've read online, keeping active is ready good. Should I listen to my midwife or follow my guts? Any other mommies keep active out there?
Avatar f tn my daugher is going to is going to be three next week, and im at my whits end with this potty training thing. i almost had her potty trained right before she turned two but had trouble going to the potty chair at her dads house (dads been in and out of her life so i think it was more of a comfort thing) she had maybe one or two accedents at my house a week then suddenly stoped going at my house to.
