Avatar m tn Unfortunately, it's a bit too late to lose 35 pounds before June. Any type of exercise is good for you....... you could try walking, yoga, biking, swimming, dance, tennis...... anything is good. You have to watch your diet, as well as exercise. According to your profile, you're only 15, so at that age, your body is not fully developed. You have to be very careful losing weight or you could have trouble later in life.
Avatar n tn I have suffered with tennis elbow for a number of years. 10 days ago I had my 3rd cortisone injection which so far has had little effect. How long should I wait before seek further medical assistance? The pain, if anything, seems to be getting worse. I can't straightened my arm now.
Avatar f tn Some simple exercises can also be helpful in controlling the symptoms of tennis elbow. These exercises should not cause pain, and those that do should not be done until pain resolves. By strengthening the muscles and tendons involved with tennis elbow, you can help prevent the problem from returning. You should consult a physiotherapist to help you learn the exercises.Repetitive stress injuries are a contributive factor for tennis elbow, these should be avoided. Refer http://ergonomics.about.

Avatar m tn Good day! I have been experiencing tennis elbow (tendonitis) in my right elbow for the last 6 months. It's due to weight training and heavy lifting. I've cut back on the weight but still have soreness (though not as bad.) I've tried ice a few times each day, a brace when I exercise and Advil yet I still have it. My health insurance plan at work ***** and I don't want to go see a doctor as I don't have the money. Any suggestions? Thanx!!!
Avatar n tn Stretching the front and back or your leg to increase the flexibility in your knee. Perform stretching exercises at the end of your workout when your muscles are warm. Stretch the front of your leg in a standing position by bending your knee and raising your foot up toward your backside. Grasp the ankle with your hand to enhance the stretch. Stretch the back of your legs in a seated position with your legs extended on the floor. Fold forward over your straight legs to stretch your hamstrings.

Avatar m tn I am 36 yr old male. Started to do some workout to keep fit almost a year ago. Things were going good. One day I was doing biceps with dumbells I started to feel pain in my left elbow. I ignored it but couple of days later it got worse. My doctor told me "tennis elbow" and gave me exercises like "pronationa and supination". I did it and still doing it. I used elbow bracing and taking pain meds. It didn't improve.

Avatar n tn t have any foot problems or anything, but as a baby and toddler, my sister was fanatical about him not wearing shoes, over concern for his feet developing properly, and attaining correct balance and flexibility, etc. She showed me several articles by different pediatric orthopedists. The articles made a strong point, and convinced me she was doing right, but that was back when he was 2 ½ years old.
Avatar m tn Over the last 2 years I have built up the muscles in my feet and have increased flexibility with daily stretches and exercises but still suffer from painful cramp in my arches and toes. It seems to occur when my toes are pointed for long periods of time as I tend to tense my feet quite hard.
1088646 tn?1256949923 if you have tennis balls put one on the floor and lie on it. Allow your back and neck to roll gently over the tennis ball. If you are in a lot of pain hold off on this one. Also, look on the internet how to give your self gentle massage. Basically massage your neck area very gently so as not to bring on a migraine or headache with opposite hand to opposite side of neck. So left hand massage right side of neck very gently and then do the other side.

Avatar m tn I have been sore right around both of my gluteus Maximus muscles since December. The muscle is very tight and seems to be restricting the movement of my lower lumbar. It's uncomfortable to sit even for short periods of time as there is a dull pain from my glutes down the back of my legs. I have been to a spinal PT and I temporarily felt better but not much. He focused only on my spine and said my movement was very limited for a 27 year old.
Avatar f tn I have a problem with chronic pain in my left shin and have had bouts with plantar fastitis. Suddenly by shoe inserts to support my high arches feel awful. What are the right exercises and what else can I do?

Avatar m tn I am sophomore in high school and I am currently running track. I was recently been diagnosed with "runners knee" and was given a few strecthes and leg strengthening exercises to help with my knee problems. Well, after a solid two weeks of performing these exercises, my knee feels strong and well. But whenever i have to stretch and put my left knee into my buttox the entire knee feels an incredible amount of pain.
Avatar n tn Does anyone know of gentle exercises to get my stamina up? I have bad knees, and rheumatoid arthritis in my back so I'm not super flexible. Want to get extra weight off to help improve health...
Avatar m tn ve been diligent with my physical therapy and I have full flexibility in the leg. I can bend the leg at the knee and I can fully extend it. I can put weight on the leg and the doctor no longer requires me to wear the surgical boot. I still need to use a cane or crutches to get around. How long does it take for the tibia fracture to fully heal, and is there anything I can do to quicken the healing process on my own other than exercises and physical therapy? Thank you.
15502615 tn?1440995053 Your doctor may recommend that you meet with a physical therapist to provide you with specific exercises designed for your needs. Range-of-motion and stretching exercises can help maintain flexibility in your joints and preserve good posture. Proper sleep and walking positions and abdominal and back exercises can help maintain your upright posture. Most people with ankylosing spondylitis don't need surgery.

1401877 tn?1288107639 s like tennis and baseball and bicycling, etc. and the Wii Fit teaches you strength exercises, yoga, balance, etc. It also measures your body stats and follows your progress. You can do as light and minimal exercise as you want, in the air conditioning of your home and I have a couch to fall back on right next to me if I need it. I swear I'm not a sales person for the Wii but I honestly think that for people like us it's brilliant.
Avatar n tn I have gone to 6 physical therapy session and have done range of motion exercises as well as external and internal strengthening exercises with a theraband. The pain seemed to decrease then, last week the PT added new exercises (passive stretching of the posterior cuff and pulleys overhead) and it returned to its previous level of pain from that PT session on.
